"Safe Keeping":Ryo followed Aizen through a hidden series of tunnels that led to a hidden hideaway. The hideaway was large, separated into to several rooms. Evita let go of her father's hand, and sat down on the couch. "Will we be safe here, father?"Aizen nodded. "As safe as if I were here with you." "You're not staying?""No. I am going back to place my house in order." Ryo pulled her hand from his, as she walked over and sat on the arm of a chair. She looked around, sighing. "There are no windows..." she whispered. Ryo tucked a lock of hair behind her ear before folding her arms over her chest. "I don't want to stay here."

Aizen walked up to her sliding his fingertips under her chin as he lifted her head to look him in the eyes. "It will only be for a short period of time. I just want to make sure you two are safe." He kissed her forehead, releasing her as he stepped back.
"Fulfill my request and stay here until I have returned and I will take you somewhere with a grand view you will never want to take your eyes from."

"For how long, Aizen?" asked Ryo. She ran a hand through her hair as she looked up at Aizen. "Can you at least tell me that? No part of my stay here has been exactly pleasant. I feel as though you've moved me from one prison to another. At least, with your daughter here, I don't have to worry about your special brand of punishment."

Aizen smirked at hearing her statement as he looked to his daughter. She sat peaceful in the chair as she watched the interaction between the two of them. Looking back to Ryo he answered her. "Two hours. Give or take a few days."
He heard Evita giggle as he looked her way and smiled at her. He then turned from the two women and walked toward the door. "I promise, no more than a couple of hours." His hand went to the door handle as he looked back at them.

Ryo rolled her eyes at the comment. "Aizen..." called out Ryo. She rose from the couch and walked toward the man before he left the room. "Whatever is going on out there, stay alive long enough to talk later. Okay?" Ryo shrugged her shoulders with a smile.
"After that, you can die as many times as you want to."

Aizen could not help but chuckle lightly. "I will try my best," he turned and opened the door. "Though even if I do die now before I return to you. I won't die." He closed the door behind him leaving it unlocked trusting both the women to stay put where they were left for their safe keeping.
A few second later the door opened again as he looked in at the two once more. "There is food in the other room if you are hungry." He looked to Evita. "Your favorite ice cream is in there." The door closed again and he was gone for good this time.

Ryo's eyes grew wide at the girl squealed at the telling of ice cream. "I'm so glad I had boys." She shook her head as the girl ran into the next room. Ryo sat down on the couch, yawning a bit as she looked toward the door.
"One for another...For at least two hours..." Ryo laid down, stretching out on the couch. She quickly fell asleep in the silence of the room.

Evita's momentary happiness at finding such a treat from her father wore off when she returned to the room with a second bowl for the captain but found her asleep. The walls creaked above her as the palace shook again. She frowned and sat on the floor, crossing her legs and dipping the spoon into the ice cream, taking a big bite. Someone was laughing in her mind. She scooted closer to her oblivious companion.

Ryo's eyes fluttered open as the room shook from the chaos above. She looked to the young girl sitting with her leg folded while eating ice cream. Ryo sat up and smiled. "Your father will return shortly, I'm sure." She adjusted her kimono, straightening herself on the couch.
When the girl said nothing, Ryo tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "You sort of remind me of Sakuma. An observer."

“There’s a lot to see,” Evita murmured, setting her bowl aside and pulling her legs up to rest her head on her knees. But she didn’t stay silent long. “Who’s Sakuma?” she asked, tilting her head slightly to look up at the captain.
Ryo sighed, tucking her hands beneath her tights. "Sakuma...Sakuma is one of my sons. The youngest of my twins." Ryo's eyes began to water as she looked toward the door or the hideaway. "My other son, he was named after my dear friend, the Captain Commander."
"Why isn't he here with you?" Evita pried. "Sojiro stayed with his parents."
"They...died. Along with their father...After the last raid."
Evita's eyes turned back to the floor. "My mom died, too." She paused and then added a 'sorry' as if in afterthought.

"But, at least you still have someone." whispered Ryo. "You still have your father. I don't have anyone. So, count yourself among the blessed, Miss Aizen." Ryo grabbed a nearby pillow, wrapping her arms around it.
"Perhaps, you should get some rest. At least until your father comes back."

Evita turned around to pick up her own pillow, doing the same and curling towards it. “I don’t think I can sleep with everything shaking like this.”
“You don’t trust your father?” the captain asked.
“Of course I do!” she snapped. She scowled and tucked her head on top of her pillow, blue eyes duller than usual. “I just don’t know if he’ll come back. Or what will happen.”

"Of course he'll come back." said Ryo. She pulled the pillow close to her chest. "He loves you. He wouldn't leave you here. Now, me..." she chuckled. "He may leave me here." The hideout shook again.
Ryo sprang up from the couch, feeling a familiar reiatsu. Her eyes narrowed. "What illusion is this?" she whispered, dropping the pillow to the floor. "Who's there?"

Evita stood as well, the unease of her room companion making her anxious. “What’s going on?” she asked. The threads wrapped around her arms writhed. She slapped both of her hands to them. She wasn’t going to lose control. She was done with that. Ryo placed her hand on the hilt of her blade, stepping in front of Evita. Slowly, she crept toward the door. "Stay here. I mean it." "Father wants us to stay here.""Yes, well...He's not here to stop me. Now is he?" Ryo disappeared in a flash of shunpo.
