"The two? You mean Sayako as well is not in the room?" Makino sighed as he shook his head, her eyes going back to her lap. She was trying to keep a level head and not panic. She did not want to think the worst on either of the girls part.
Sayako was a given she was never in the room when they roomed together so she was not really worried there, but it was not like Allura. She was in her room by nine and with what was going on in their lives for the last few weeks/month, and the threat of being sent home, she was pretty much sticking to the rules Byakuya laid out before them. So where was she? Why was she not in her room?
She looked back to Yukio. "And you looked everywhere?" but before he could answer another popped in the room with them. Makino's eyes widened as she looked on at the face of the annoyed, Fifth Division Captain.

As Makino’s light came on, Shinji had turned in place on the roof and watched her room, placing the shadows and reiatsu signatures. He chewed on his piece of grass and tilted his head. How should he break up this love tryst? Come in from the window as they boys had or break down the door and really scare them?
But then the parrot’s reiatsu started climbing. Appearing in the window behind the brats, wide grin of intimidation on his face, he looked them both over.
“I hope you have a good reason for disturbing our delicate patient, boys,” he purred, blade tapping against the top of the window where he was perched. “It’s quite late, and right now, you’re looking rather like target practice to me. And someone did take my practice away from me today....."

Riku stood up quickly and bowed deeply. "Captain Hirako, sir! I'm here because I had urgent news that I felt could not wait until morning. I apologize greatly for the disturbance. I recently found out that one of our fellow students was working with the thugs who have been threatening Makino and Allura's lives. It was my own judgement that made me decide to come here at this hour."

Yukio turned and looked at the captain, a very sly smirk crossed his face, "My apologies and lack of respect right here. I may not be the absolute smartest person on this planet, but I had some worries about a female student that has not been seen."
He looked down at Riku and chuckled, "And it just so happens to be related to what this guy had to say."

"Captain Hirako, please." Makino stated, trying to get up and off the bed with the help of her two friends. "They meant well, and I have to say I am very glad they did bust in to tell me about this. Because it is not like Allura to not be in her room by nine." She grabbed her crutches and stepped toward the Captain as she spoke to him of her concerns over this.
"Also Captain Kuchiki laid the law down with us both over this mess. She was walking well on the safety side of the line." She stopped in front of him. "I don't want to jump here, but I do have a bad feeling about this, and my feelings are normally right."

Shinji grunted as he made a face at her and then looked to the boys. “We are aware of the disappearance or misplacement of Miss Nakane, but it was too early to cause any undo alarm. She has a roommate notorious for running off, and she could have been caught up with her.” He paused. “Until Kaiba was apprehended to be questioned, that was the belief.”
His eyes narrowed at Makino. “And there was no reason to tell you, parrot. You’re barely intelligent enough to refrain from running off to your boyfriend’s aid. It could wait till the morning.”

"If you truly knew about the disappearance of that girl, you would know that she never stays out late, and doesn't give a flying fucking damn about her roommate," Yukio's eyes narrowed at the captain.
He cleared his throat slightly and looked at Makino, "And as for this so called Parrot. She is fine to tell this simply because if we would have told you guys," A smirk slid across his face slightly, "Sad to say that the search wouldn't even begin until a week or so."
Yukio chuckled to himself and stepped up slightly, offering his hand to the captain, "So lets just say. Until you guys decide to actually start hunting, I'll get myself and a few family members to help out in the search."

Makino's head dropped as she softly chuckled under her breath at Yukio. He would never change. "They had every right to come tell me. For a few reasons, Captain. And I am so glad everyone thinks I am defenseless." She looked up at the captain.
"Yes, for Aizen, his Ayakashi and Espada I am over powered at the moment, but for a group of Rukongai thugs..." Her head shook. "I have yet to find one that could defeat me. I was trained as a Masanobu Assassin and then trained further by Captain Kuchiki to help deal with the effect my fathers death."
The Captain was about to say something, but was cut off by her. "I am not foolish enough to run off after anyone in this condition. I am no help to them. I can't even defend myself right now." She heard Yukio mumble as she saw him rubbed the side of his head from the corner of her eyes.
"Seems you did pretty good tonight."
She smiled and shook her head slowly at him then continued. "And not to say if I was in top shape I would do it either, but I would gather my family so the group could start a search for her. Yukio is right, the Gotei is busy. By the time they get enough men together to search for her. It will be a week later. The Gotei is busy keeping us safe from Aizen and his gang. You really can't spare any men to search for a couple of girls." She looked to Yukio as she spoke then back to the captain.
"Our families know the Seireitei just as good as the seasoned offers of the Gotei. They could search for Allura and the other girls while the Gotei takes care of the Aizen threat. All bases are covered then and no man power is lost in our defenses."

Riku gawked at Yukio for a long moment before sighing. He was right. Both of them were. The Gotei had their focus on other things. The thugs were at the bottom of the "to do" list. He steeled over his expression and bowed to Captain Hirako again.
"Pardon me, but I have to agree with them. My family may be thieves, but our ultimate goal is to help people. As an Asuhara, I cannot allow myself to ignore someone in need. Even more so that it's one of my close friends. I will be aiding Yukio's and Makino's families in the search. My zanpakuto's skills and my own skills may very well come in handy as well. I plan on doing all I can to help Allura and anyone else the thugs may be harassing."

Shinji scoffed at the upstarts before him. “Well, aren’t you a bunch wide-eyed heroes and show-offs.” He let his sword down and poked at the blonde’s jacket. “Let me correct your inflated facts. The Gotei would wait to start an official search until the next morning, not a full week, but that doesn’t mean that inquiries haven’t already started. Just where are you going to start when you know nothing? Another blind search?”
Before the blonde could reply, he swung his blade towards the thieves’ son, pricking his arm. “Too much attention to this matter will make it even more difficult to find her, not easier. With your scramble for heroism, you’re more likely to paint a target on yourself or your helpers.” He paused, smirking like a shark. “Did I forget to mention that more than girls have been missing, pretty boys?”
He looked to Makino. “And you, Parrot, are a target of both enemies, you and your family. Your family is already engaged, or I am sure it would be one of your brothers in here interrogating your lovers.”
“This will be handled quietly, and amateurs belong at home.”

Makino ignored the 'lover' jab and went straight to the rude accusation about her clan. "How dare you call my clan amateurs. I will have you know my Clan is as skilled if not more than over half of your Gotei members. My mother is on par with Yoruichi Shihoin. If I wanted to push my weight I would already be in the Fifth Division and possibly your lieutenant."
Her free hand rested to her hip as she glowered at the Captain. "However, I decided to play fair and go into the Academy. Down playing my powers because I did not want to be favored or turned into an example of 'how they' should be. I wanted to get this position properly and fairly."
She huffed, "and FYI. I am sure with my dating the Captain Commanders Grandson. My mother courting the Head of the Kuchiki Clan/Captain of the Sixth Division, plus the standing our Clan. My brothers could and, probably already have, all the information they needed on this case."
Makino hated to push her nobility like she was, but the jab about her Clan being amateurs hit a nerve. How dare he say say such an untruth about them. She knew there would be repercussion from him for this, but right now she did not care, he upset her with his remark.

The captain of the Fifth Division rolled his eyes. “I wasn’t talking about your clan, noisy crippled parrot. If you had been paying attention, I said they were busy protecting their own. Or have you forgotten that less than a week ago, your parents and one of the brothers were attacked by Aizen and company?” His eyes went skyward again. “And FYI, Tori, I decide who my lieutenant is, not any stuck-up noble with her head in the clouds.” She flushed but her vibrant eyes continued to glare at him. He jabbed his sword in her ribs. “I was talking to the boys here, one who hasn’t done hardly anything since his brother died, except to gather women around him, and another who dreams of Stealth Force but has twice let his emotions get him in trouble. And he’s at odds with his family.” His eyes narrowed at the boys. “Am I missing something?”

Makino's head tilted to the side as she looked to the Captain, and she gave him a cocky smile. "You pick your own lieutenant do you? Not that I don't fully agree with you. It should be your choice. A hundred and ten percent of your choice. It's your division after all. However, that's not what I heard through the grapevine about the lieutenant you have now. That was more of a forced placement. Not saying she is not fully capable of her position."
Makino paused for a second and lowed her head in remembrance. "And the Gods rest her soul." She looked back up to the captain. "I could have filled that position way sooner then the forced placement." Her grin widened. "Yes, I am that good, and that determined to fill that position one day. If you like it or not."

Shinji’s teeth ground inside his head as the parrot made her point and dared to insert herself where she pleased. Perhaps he’d change her name to peacock, but that would encourage her all the more. And he needed to put her in her place. Again. “Get back to bed, canary,” he growled, “or I’ll be putting you on house arrest for your own safety.” He spun around and glowered at the boys. “And you two better exit the way you came and be back in your dorms by five minutes or I will be doing the same to you!"
"There is a procedure for this kind of attack on the Gotei and I will not have you ruining the hunt!"

Riku ignored the irritating captain with the hideous teeth's insults. His opinions of him didn't matter. There was only one person whose opinion mattered, and it sure as hell wasn't him. Riku wasn't sure what kind of animal crawled up his ass and died, but it wasn't his problem. Right now he had other things to be worried about than the thorns in Captain Hirako's ass.
Riku turned and gave Yukio a stern look. He wasn't going to back down just because the Gotei thought they could handle two hundred things efficiently at once. Regardless of what anyone else thought of his skill, he knew his own strengths and weaknesses. He knew where he could help and where he'd be a burden. He knew what he was capable of. If Yukio wasn't going to back down, neither would he.
