Kuchiki looked to the commander. “You do realize, shopkeeper, that those that your daughter attracts rarely stay in one mold, and it seems Vale is the same way.”
Kisuke lowered his hat and chuckled. “Yes, well, that man, in particular, loves leaving confusing trails in his wake. First, he tries to kill Gin and then-”
“What do you mean he tried to kill Dad?” Sojiro interrupted. “I know he doesn't like Dad, but he can’t. Dad’s immortal.”
“He was,” Kisuke murmured. “Vale used his godly powers to somehow undo that protection, but Kadaj didn’t let him finish the job.”
Sojiro’s head lowered. “He saved me. From Teruo. Tore out the demon’s tongue like I was told he used to do to Loki and then left me with Satoshi.” He paused. “I don’t know if he talked to Satoshi or not. I was fading in and out with the poison’s dose.”
Kuchiki looked to the commander again. “Are they attempting to complete what Ichimaru and your daughter failed to before the Takeover, or is this an elaborate ruse on Tervaden’s part to keep us guessing his motives until he is ready to strike?”

"Another question I cannot answer." Kisuke told him as he looked to Byakuya. His eyes then drifted to Makino. "Did Kita tell you anything when the two of you were alone?"
"What makes you think mom had a chance to tell her anything if she was dealing with Aizen?" Sojiro asked.
"Because she made comment that she wanted to ask her something when they went to their room." Kisuke reminded him of Makino's statement.

Makino nodded. "I think I can answers my fathers question. I don't know if it will settle anything or make more question for you, but she gave me a message for Sojiro." She turned and looked at him.
"When your mother was taking me back to the manor she told me to tell you. 'I love you, more than life itself, and that will never change. No matter where this path I am on takes me. I will never stop loving you, and I just pray you can find it in your heart to forgive me for the choices I make now and in the future. I know you won't understand now why I am doing this, but hopefully when you're older you will understand. Please don't come for me, I will be safe where I am, and know I am always with you. Even if I am not right next to you I will always be with you. Protecting you. Watching over you. And missing you.'."

Sojiro frowned deeply and looked to Kisuke. “She’s doing something stupid that will hurt her again…” He scratched at his hair. “I don’t like it. I don’t like it at all. This shouldn’t be her fight anymore. And the kids. What are they thinking?!” As Makino touched his arm, he offered her a tepid smile. “Thank you for the message. I’m glad you were able to meet her, even in such bad circumstances.”
He turned back to Kisuke. "Dad won't like it. Not one bit."

"We leave her be." Kisuke paused and looked across the room than spoke again. "Makino, what else was said?"
Makino looked his way from her boyfriend as she filled in the rest of the blanks for them. She told them everything, even the part about why she damned Aizen saying he used her as a door key. From there she said she remembered nothing else. She then said the next thing she remembered was waking in the room where she was now.
Kisuke turned to look at her once more, and that was when she yawned wide. "I think we are done here." He stepped toward the door and stopped before he opened it. He turned and looked at Makino and smiled warmly at her.
"Thank you, Makino. Your information was very helpful. If anything else comes to you please send someone for me," he looked to Byakuya and smiled, "or you can tell your father. He will relay the information to me."
She nodded to him resting her head back to Sojiro's shoulder as Kisuke bid the others good night and left the room.

Saya looked to Byakuya then to the others. "I think we should be on our way as well and let these two rest." She leaned over kissing her daughter on the cheek then did the same with Sojiro. "You both rest. No sitting up all night talking.""Mhmm~." Kouen hummed chuckling lightly, then stopped abruptly when his mother and Byakuya looked to him. He cleared his throat and stepped up to Sojiro and his sister, kissing his baby sister on top of the head. "I will come by and see you tomorrow, Maki-chan. Rest well." He looked to Sojiro and winked stepping away from the bed.Kin walked up doing the same though he did not wink at Sojiro he gave him a warning look. "Sorry Makino I won't be able to come by with Kouen tomorrow, but I will be by in the evening."
Yumiko walked over and kissed Sojiro on the head. "Your mother is strong. Believe in her for now. If something is wrong, there will be time to correct-" She covered her mouth as she yawned. "Correct it." She turned to Makino. "Believe in yourself, Makino. And ask someone to find me if you want to talk." As she stepped back, Byakuya took his daughter's hand. "You've made me proud tonight. Don't doubt it or believe otherwise. And know you have earned your rest." He gave a quelling look to Sojiro and then let Makino's hand go when someone, probably Kouen, snickered. Saya linked her arm with Byakuya's and smiled at both kids. "Sleep well the you both of you." She and Byakuya were the last two to leave the room as Saya dimmed the lights for them. "Sweet dreams." She smiled as she and Byakuya left the room.~END RP~ "Pact Among Men":

"Message to my Friends": It was early morning. The sun not even up as one of the medical members of Division Four was in the room checking on Makino and Sojiro. Sojiro fast asleep as Makino looked to the squad member. "You should be resting." the member whispered to her. "I wish I could." Makino whispered in return as she shifted gentle so not to wake Sojiro. "I have too much on my mind."The squad member walked over to her. "You're not have bad dreams about what happen--" Makino shook her head, "No no. Not at all. Its school and the festival."She smiled brightly at the young girl. "The festival should be the furthest thing from your mind. I am sure you will be up and around to go to it when the time comes." Makino shook her head. "Not with me in here. I am the coordinator for the Fall Festival this year." The members eyes widened, "Oh my that is a problem then." "Mhmm," Makino hummed, a heavy sigh followed as she lifted her hand to her forehead. "If I could just get a message to the other two helping me I think I can at least get things moving again.""Well if you need I could do that for you. My shift ends in another few hours. I could stop by the academy and give them the message." The girl told her with a bright smile. "Could you really?"She nodded slowly. "Tell me there names and where I can find them, and of course the message and I will let them know." Makino smiled warmly at her. "Thank you so much for this."
The girl then took out a pen and piece of paper and started writing down the information and the message she needed to contact her friends. When she was done Makino thank her again before she left. Feeling a little more at ease Makino curled up against Sojiro once more and tried to get a little more sleep before he friends got there to visit with her.~ END RP ~ To be Continued in: "Message to my Friends, Part II":

"Message to My Friends; Part II": (continued) Finally, after some good rest, Makino was able to sit up with only a few moans and groans, unlike the evening before where if she moved she felt like she was going to pass out from the amount of pain shooting through her body. As she set to the edge of the bed she wondered if that squad member had made it by to see Allura and Riku. She looked up at the clock.
"They should be up and getting read for the day. So I know if she made it by their rooms they got the message." Makino sighed trying to clear her mind so not to drive herself crazy over this.
With Sojiro being out with the Captain of Division Four for more healing, she was alone to ponder the mess of the festival. Though she was rather glad she had something to help keep her mind off what happen yesterday. As her mind started to drift to what did happen with Aizen she shook her head quickly. She then looked quickly to the door when she heard it open.

Allura opened the door and peeked in to be sure that Makino was in the room and that she was awake. When she saw that she was, her eyes widened some as she saw the damage but she tried to keep the shocked look from showing. She walked over and sat in a chair near the bed.
"Hey there. Seems you've had an 'exciting' few days." She did her best to smile in order to lighten the situation but she could tell that her friend was in pain, but considering the injuries she saw it wasn't too surprising.

Makino was smiling so big her face started to cramp, she rubbed at her cheek as a few tears trickled down her cheek. "Yeah exciting." Her tone could couldn't have been more sarcastic. "I thought I was never going to see you guys again." She wiped away her falling tears and gave Allura a warm smile.
She looked back toward the door. "I guess you did not see Riku on your way over?" Just as Makino asked her that the door opened again. This time it was Riku as he quickly stepped in the room a pale and worried look on his face.

Riku ran into the room the moment he saw Makino, in a terrible state but alive none the less. He pulled her gently into a hug, trying not to squeeze her too hard. His eyes welled up with tears. "Maki-chan! What happened to you?! I woke up and you still weren't there! I thought you might have been working on the festival but... but then that woman showed up from here at the Fourth and I thought..."

Makino smiled at him cupping his cheek as another tear fell. "I am sorry we worried you Riku. Mother and I went to get dinner. You were sleeping so soundly I did not want to wake you, but while we were out that monster showed up again. He had Sojiro and what mother and I thought was him devouring Sojiro. It was just a ploy for him to get his hands on me."
"You were taken!?" Allura and Riku replied in unison.
Makino nodded slowly. "But thanks to Sojiro's mother and step father we were saved by them. Both of us were returned here."

Allura sat there in shock for a moment then she looked at Makino, her voice carrying more worry than she intended, "I see that you're okay for the most part.. What about Sojiro?"
Makino smiled. "He is doing better, badly bruised like me. He had both arms pulled from their sockets. Tendon and muscle damage. From what I understand from Sojiro, his step fathers brother was healing him when the Goddess came for him and she healed him more, but not enough with as badly injured as his other arm was."
A sigh of faint relief escaped Allura as she nodded, "It's good that you were both returned. You don't have to answer this if you don't want to, I'll completely understand.. I'm just curious, why were you taken?" She knew she probably shouldn't be asking these questions due to what her friend experienced, but her curiosity was through the roof and she was compelled to ask.

Makino looked to Riku taking his hand in hers. She was not too sure how much she should tell them. She did not want them thinking Aizen might be coming for them next, but what if he was. She could not let them go blindly thinking all was well. She was at crossroad here and not sure what path to take. As she took a deep breath and was about to tell them. the door pushed opened again.
As she looked toward the door Sojiro walked in her heart leapt. Now maybe the subject would take a different direction. "Soji-kun!"

Sword arm in a brace and sling with Daichi draped over his shoulders, Sojiro smiled at Makino. Something was bothering her, but before he could ask, Riku turned around and hugged him. Sojiro chuckled at the ginger embrace. “My arm is going to hurt whether you hug me or not. It’s just that sensitive." He shrugged with his good shoulder. “Though now I won’t feel it for a while with the dose of painkiller she used on it."
"I knew it..." Riku's voice shook as he hugged him tighter. "I knew that you wouldn't.... I knew you'd be back. Blessed by the gods or not, I knew there's no way you wouldn't make it back."
Sojiro used his free hand to push his friend back and look into his eyes. "That's because it was the opening move. He wanted us to be aware of him and his power." He walked over to Makino who still looked a little haunted and took her hand. Then he turned back to Riku. "Yes, we're back, but you should know he would have let Makino go without harming her if she did one thing."
"What's that?" Allura asked.
Makino's hand tightened on his. Sojiro continued but squeezed her hand in turn. This wasn't her fault. "Leave me completely," he informed them. "And if she didn't, things were bound to become worse for me as well as any others she cared for." He paused. "You should keep that in mind."
