Makino smiled the best she could with her busted lips. "Its alright mom. I have bruises on top of bruises. Injuries on top of injuries." She lifted her better arm showing them the claw mark on her arm that went over the top of her Cero wound. She looked at Sojiro. "That was done by the Espada that can reach through the voids and grab his victims."
Makino winced and looked to Yumiko. "Though he did not do it intentionally. It happened when Aizen jerked me away from him." She coughed softly wincing again.

As his daughter, his only daughter spoke on about her experience, Byakuya made a discreet move to the doorway to find the healers of this division. Both of the children would need attention, and the commander needed to know the situation set before Soul Society.
And the position of the Vessel once more.
His blade stayed awake, sakura blossoms swirling around the room.
The healers and the guard of the Masanobus arrived at the same time. The healers rushed in, after saying their captain would arrive after her dizziness passed. The noble captain nodded and focused on the guard of his new family.
“Tell the Commander that the children have returned and I need to see him about the Vessel. And then, find your other masters and inform them of their sister’s safety.” The guard turned but was halted. “Finally, return with the best of your people. I have another task for you.”
The guard nodded and retreated down the hall. Byakuya returned to the medical room.

As the healers took over the care of the children, Yumiko stepped back into a corner and watched. Her hand smoothed over her stomach as her heart galloped in her chest. The details she’d been pushing away were starting to crowd her. The fact that things could have been worse for Makino, the display between the young couple, and the sight of her best friend, along with her kicking child, it was making spots swim around her. The support and emotion between Sojiro and Makino was especially clear, blinding her while sending flashbacks ripping through her. Taking a quick breath, Yumiko pulled off a bracelet she always wore and handed it over to the captain. “Kisuke and Ukitake made this for me when it was likely I could be taken away. Until someone can make new ones, you should give it to Makino.” If the captain said something, she didn’t hear it. As he stepped aside, she grabbed the handle and exited, shoulders shaking. Moved

When her son and Lady Ryouma reentered the room Saya was listening and speaking to the the one head healer that was tending to her daughter. Her attention going to her son and Yumiko for only a moment.
"So there is nothing more you can do for her?" Saya asked.
The healer looked at Lady Masanobu and Captain Kuchiki shaking his head. "I have done everything I can for her. She is not as beat up as she looks, Lady Masanobu. Though she is in rough shape. Your daughter suffers from a pretty nasty contusion on the upper right side of her head. Her right arm was broken in three places. The radius was the worst, it was shattered almost dead center. I was able to reconstruct it, and reset the two other breaks; one in the ulna bone and one in the humerus, a few more inches and the break in her humerus would have been her shoulder, but I fused the breaks in both places to give them some strength and to start the healing possess. However, even with me doing that, the humerus and the radius will take the longest to heal. Even with our assistance." He then looked and motioned to her right leg. "The femur in her leg also suffered a break, or in this case a bad fracture. By the way it looked it was an impact fracture. Could have been caused by a direct hit from a Kido blast or her leg being harshly pushed into an object with a edge or bevel." He looked back to to her mother and the Captain. The rest is all bruises, cuts and a healing Cero burn."
"What about that claw mark on her left arm? There is poison in that bastard's claws," Sojiro informed him.
The healer looked slightly confused as he looked from Sojiro to Makino's arm, shaking his head. "I found no traces of poison in her system."
"Are you certain?" Byakuya asked him.
The healer nodded. "Yes, I am very sure. Her system is clean," he started cleaning up as he looked to her mother and the Captain once more. "And for your next question. Yes, she is still a virgin. He did not harm her in that way."
Saya nodded slowly as her hands rested to her upper chest, relived to hear her daughter was still pure after being in that man's presences. She rested her head to Byakuya's shoulder a few tears sliding down her cheeks. "Thank the Gods."

Byakuya wrapped one arm around his beloved’s form, his hand resting on the back of her head, offering her comfort but not stepping too far from his boundaries and startling her. He turned to his daughter and retrieved the bracelet Yumiko had given him.
“Hey, that’s Yumiko’s!” Sojiro exclaimed.
“Place it on Makino’s wrist,” Byakuya ordered, cutting him off. He looked his daughter’s exhausted form. “Please wear that at all times until an upgraded one is prepared. It will stall any capture.” He turned back to Sojiro. “Do you know how to use all the items on it?”
Sojiro nodded. “Yes, captain, I do. Mother used to wear hers and sometimes she had me wear it, too.”
“But what about-” Makino twisted, wincing to look up at her teacher, “what about your protection?”
Yumiko smiled. “Worry about yourself first, Makino-san. I have other means to protect myself now, and if he were to grab me once more,” she paused, eyes straying to Kouen, “I think he’s done all the harm he can.” Yumiko patted her hand. “Wear it and be safe. It won’t make it impossible for him to take you again, but it will make it harder.”
Byakuya continued with his thought. “For now, you will need to rest and recover your strength. And for now, Sojiro may remain at your side. When you have healed more, we will move you to the Manor to continue your recovery. And until then, at least one person will remain close by.” He looked into Makino’s eyes, dark eyes soft. “Focus on what you need. Nothing else.”

"But I am going to fall so far behind at school!" She tried to push up into a sitting position as she winced in pain. Sojiro trying to keep her down with his one good arm as his hand rested to her shoulder. She laid back to the bed just to exhausted to fight him. She sighed heavily.
"And what about the festival? We have three days to get it set up." Her left hand lifted resting to her forehead as she sighed again, her eyes closed then shot open as she looked to the window seeing it was evening. "I got to talk to Riku and Allura."
"Will you stop!" Sojiro barked at her. "You do realize what just happen to you and who had you as his captive, right!?"
Makino looked to Sojiro falling silent as she reached for him with her good arm. "I do," she said silently her fingertips barely brushing his bruised cheek. "But that don't mean I should give up, or walk around scared to death that he is right behind me... I am alive. Isn't that all that matters?" Tears pooled in her eyes, breaking free and rolling down her cheeks. "I won't let him win," her head shook slowly.

Sojiro frowned and leaned over on his bad arm to give her a one-arm embrace, pulling back when Daichi started chittering at him. He brushed his good hand over her cheeks. “It’s okay to be scared, Maki-Hachi, and it’s okay to cry. He hurt you. I’ve told you nightmares about him. You’re allowed to show some weakness now that it has passed.” He stroked her cheeks again, wet with new tears. “We made it through his opening move, and we will be better prepared the next time. Nothing you do now is shameful to your family, your name, or to me.”
He slid the bracelet over her wrist and clasped her hand again. "You're still beautiful and an inspiration to others. And I'm in love with you."

Adjusting his hat as he kneeled in the window, Kisuke looked to the ones in the room. "Aww~ there is nothing like the proclamation of love to warm one's heart." As everyone turned to look at him, he smirked and stepped down from his position in the window.
"You couldn't have used the door like a normal person?" Kin replied.
"There is nothing normal about that man." Byakuya informed his soon to be, eldest son.
Kisuke chuckled as he walked towered the young couple, stopping at Sojiro's side he placed a firm hand to his shoulder and looked to both. "How are you kids doing?" He looked pointedly at Makino. "Especially you, since this is your first bout with Aizen and his group?"

Makino smiled at the Commander and nodded. "Sore. Mad. Worried." Her hand tightened around Sojiro's. "Warm and fuzzy."
Kisuke chuckled. "Well that is a first. No one has ever told me Aizen made them feel warm and fuzzy. Ugg!" Kisuke looked to Sojiro. "Why did you elbow me in the ribs?"
"She was talking about me." Sojiro informed him with slightly narrowed eyes.
Kisuke laughed lifting a finger and nodded. "I knew that. I did." He smiled and looked to Makino again as he reached for her hand and patted it lightly. "Feel up to a chat?"
Kisuke's tone went from light and airy to authoritative and stern with his last question, but there was a touch of concern and gentleness. Makino nodded her head slowly. "I guess I could handle a short chat. What they gave me for the pain has yet to kick in, so I am wide awake."

Sojiro's eyes narrowed at his grandfather. "You're going to ask about Mother, aren't you?" he snapped.
"Perhaps," Kisuke replied, adjusting his hat.
Before Sojiro could elaborate on his thoughts on that matter, Captain Kuchiki spoke up. "I would request that you do not take up much more of her time. She needs rest, so please refrain from too many of your usual antics."
Sojiro cut in again. "Does it have to be now?" he asked. "She's been through a lot, and it will be easier to recall what happened after she's rested without it affecting her." Daichi bit his ear, and he gave a muted glare in his direction but didn't share his demigod's opinion.

"Questioning is always better after the crime takes place. Its fresh." He looked to Makino. "This won't be too stressful for you will it?"
Makino shook her head slowly as she looked to the Commander. "I was only beaten by the man. Nothing I would not have gotten if I had went into battle."
Kisuke's hand slid under his hat as he scratched his head. "Sure we can go with that." He smiled and patted her leg. "Makino, can you tell me anything about what happen while you were in Aizen's care?"

Makino took a deep breath and started telling them what went on between her and Aizen. She started with how rude he was with sitting and reading while she stood waiting for him. Then his empty words of no harm would come to her. She went on to tell them she told him she did not trust anything he said and he went on talking about how she was another the Gotei turned against him.
An uncomfortable paused came to her, her hand tightening around Sojiro's as she looked at him. "He then proceeded to tell me, 'If I were to tell you, if you did not leave Sojiro Ichimaru, his life would become a living hell.'." Her eyes lowered from everyone in the room. "He then ask, 'You would not believe me?'."
She took another deep breath and looked back up at Kisuke. "I told him if he was telling me to break up with Sojiro, he could take a long walk off a short pier. He went on to tell me there was no need to get so agitated and that the truth of the matter was there was no room in Sojiro's life for love. That Sojiro's life had been ordained since before he took his first breath."
Makino's head shook, "I ask him by who, then went on to tell him sorry to burst his bubble but he did not count. That's was the first time he touched me. His hand wrapped around my neck, he didn't squeeze, but he held on firmly, lifting me slightly." She started to tremble slightly. Tears starting to sting at her eyes. "He told me Sojiro has no room for love or even friends. That he had a path set out before him he has to follow, and challenges he had to surpass before he could take his place on top."
Her next thought made her jolt slightly when Sojiro reached up and wiped away a falling tear, she winced in pain from the jolt, but continued, "he then drew close whispering in my ear, and telling me no matter how much I loved Sojiro--" her head lowered again as she sniffled softly. "There was no room for me on top with him. He released me and I fell back to the couch where I was sitting, he then lowered himself down in front of me trapping me there with one hand on either side of my legs and told me he hated to repeat himself, but for one as beautiful as myself, he would relinquish that rule this once."
"He went on ordering me to, leave Sojiro to his own doing, I couldn't even remain as his friend. Because if I did...." she tried to take a deep breath, but it caught in her chest. "He said--" hot tears streamed down her cheeks.
Sojiro went to console her as Kisuke stopped him. "It's alright Makino." Kisuke told her. "Take a second and clear your head and continue."
She nodded and took a few seconds, she then took a deep breath her trembling easing. "He said, 'I promise you for every day you are with him will be a new day of hell, not only for him, but the ones you love so dearly in Soul Society.'." Makino pulled her hand from Sojiro and covered her face as she started to sob into her hand.

Sojiro climbed onto Makino’s bed and wrapped his arm around, holding her tightly against his chest in spite of the ache it sent through the arm still healing. “It’s not your fault, Maki-Hachi,” he murmured into her ear. “None of the pain Aizen will send is your fault. His words are weapons to hurt you, but that does not mean he hasn’t already made a plan against any of those he said your obedience will protect. Trust me. It’s happened multiple times in the past.”
He pulled back and wiped her tears away. “I told you before, Maki-Hachi, that you are the only one who can break us apart, and you have said, over and over, that it wasn’t going to happen. This doesn’t change that, and I really don’t care what Aizen says. He’s not controlling me and what I want, and I have always appreciated love.” He kissed her, making a few people chuckle and the captain clear his throat. Sojiro released her lips but kept his forehead against hers. “One more thing, if you were to disappear, I would get a reason out of you and then we would be back here again. Kissing and making up. Because I would find out that you were trying to protect me and sacrificing your happiness."
As Makino gave a slight giggle, he relaxed his grip and let Makino rest against him. "What do you make of it?" he asked Kisuke. "Is he thinking of putting me up to replace my father or something else? Or is it big words to make us move for him?"

Kisuke shook his head, "I don't know." He looked from Sojiro to Makino. "I was informed the Vessel saved you once; before she brought you here. Can you tell me what happen there?"
Makino looked at Kisuke and nodded slowly. "She did?" Kisuke and the others nodded at her. "So that's how I got here? She brought me here?" They all nodded again. Makino sighed as she cast her eyes down. "I wanted to asked her a question. I was kind of relieved when Koga said we were going to the Tervaden's." She fell silent then mumbled under her breath. "Damn him for using me as a door key!" She growled.
Kisuke adjusted his hat and looked at her from under it. "Damn who, Makino? And what do you mean he used you as a door key?"

Makino squirmed in Sojiro's hold trying to get a better look at him. When he looked at her she smiled warmly. "Your mother is a beautiful and wonderful lady. While Aizen and I were having our simple conversation as he called it. I asked him about her. He told me she was there. I took a shot and released my reiatsu sending out a beacon." Makino smiled brightly at Sojiro. "She came to my aid."
"But," Sojiro sat up slightly looking at Makino. "Mom has never met you."
Makino nodded still smiling. "I know." She looked back to Kisuke. "She was not happy with Aizen at all and it seems he had a collar on her." She looked to Sojiro then back to Kisuke. "She said Vale took it off of her." She giggled. "That's not what she told Aizen though. She made it seem like she took it off. I think that upset Aizen even more."
"So what happened between Kita and Aizen?" Kisuke questioned.
"They only talked. Aizen to me seemed afraid of her."
"Of course he was. Mom can send that Bastard to his grave!" Sojiro growled.
Makino looked to Sojiro shaking her head. "I don't think she wanted to kill him. Only teach him a lesson."
