"It sounds like your zanpakuto spirit is trying to communicate with you," Suisenro gave Makino a pleased smile. He tilted his head at her. "In regards to that, I think what neesama means to ask is, what would the Shino Academy do for you that your family could not? What benefit would you get from discovering your zanpakuto at the academy as opposed to with your family's training?"
Makino fell silent and an ashamed look crossed her face as she lowered her eyes from her family. "I...I don't want to be an assassin." There were gasps and sighs from around the room as Makino spoke quickly. "I don't mind helping when the job calls for it, but"--her head shook--"I don't want to do it full time." She looked to her mother and Grandfather.
"I am truly sorry, but I want to serve with the Gotei and help bring peace to our realm."
Suisero nodded, his smile growing. "I think that is very noble of you and a very important goal to have in these times." He looked over to the Masanobu elders. "Your family may not agree, but I think you should work towards what you believe in, not towards what is expected of you. If you don't you'll just end up miserable."

Saya nodded her head with a smile, but deep down she hated the thought of her youngest leaving the nest, and of all things going to the academy so they can become part of the Gotei. It wasn't that she did not like the Gotei, it just worried her about the fact of what their family was. If the Gotei ever found out who Makino really was, who knows what they might do to her. The Gotei was not exactly fans of the Masanobu family.
"I think it would be a mistake to let Makino enroll in the Academy. Who knows what would happen to her if she were found out." Kin protested.
"I have to agree with Kin. It's to dangerous." Hakuryuu agreed.
Their Grandfather only sat with his arms crossed over his chest with a disapproving look in his eyes.
"What is wrong with all of you," Kouen looked at his family. "If this is what Maki-chan wants let her have it. Where does it say she has to take up the family business?"
Shirou nodded, "yes, Maki-chan should be able to make her own choices in this matter. Not everyone is cut out to be an assassin."
Saya sighed as she looked at her four boys. "I did not say she could not join, but it is something I would like all of us to sit and talk about." She looked to Makino patting her leg. "Alright?" She watched as her daughter nodded her head.

Suisenro nodded firmly in agreement. "This decision is not one to jump into head first. You said you wished to join next year? Then you have a year to iron out all of the details and make sure that you are able to spend your time in the academy safely."
"And if things go to hell while she's there?" Hakuryuu said sternly. "What then?"
"Then we pull her out and do damage control," Suigetsu replied with a serious tone. "Nobles are good at that, right? Kuchiki pulled strings to get Rukia out of the academy early. We can do the same for Makino. Hell, we can do the same to prevent people from finding out."
Suisenro laughed at his sister. "A rare showing of your powers of nobility, neesama."

Suigetsu grinned and shrugged. "What? I gotta use it sometimes otherwise what good is it for a peasant like me to have that kind of power and authority. The least I can do is use it to help out family."
She looked over at Makino with a smirk. "Besides. We wouldn't be the only ones pulling those kind of strings with the academy. Rumor has it that dearest Haku Yamamoto is slated to join the academy next year as well."

"The late Captain Commander, Yamamoto?" Saya questioned.
"Mhmm," Suigetsu hummed. "Word is, the boys got some serious talent."
"Just like the late Commander." Kin commented taking a sip of his tea.
"He has always been very talented." Saya looked at her daughter and smiled. "I saw that when he use to train with Makino."

"If Haku is entering the academy as well, then that may bode well for Makino," Shirou put a hand on his chin. "I highly doubt that they will let everyone at the academy in on who Haku is. The accusations of nepotism and favoritism would be astronomical. Surely he will enter under a pseudonym. Makino would do the same and the two of them could cover for each other. Make sure no one finds out who either of them are."

Makino smiled brightly, "Jiro is enrolling next year as well." She looked at her mother. "So I will have two friends attending the Academy next year."
"Jiro. Hitoshi," Kouen asked as he sat his tea cup to the table, he watched as his sister nodded her head. Kouen chuckled, "If you put that kid in a round room and told him to stand in the corner and he'd kill himself trying to find the corner."
Kin, Hakuryuu, and Shirou chuckled along with the Kouen, causing Makino to huff and glare at her brothers. "That was not nice, Kouen. Jiro is not that dumb."

"He'll grow out of it... hopefully," Suigetsu added, leaning back on the couch and crossing her arms behind her head. "In any case, Makino won't be alone at the academy. And she's a very bright girl. Trust in her a little more. After all, you all taught her well, didn't you?"
Kin looked from Suigetsu to his sister. He remained silent for a few seconds then nodded firmly. "Yes, Maki-chan is indeed a very intelligent young lady." He looked back to Suigetsu again. "It's the others out there I do not trust."
Suigetsu grinned at him. "Aww. Practicing being a father already? Seriously, you know exactly what I meant. Trust her to take care of the people you don't trust."

"I think I should concentrate on a companion before I start thinking about being a father." Kin smiled warmly at Suigetsu. "That's normally the process, correct? It's been so long I can't remember anymore."Suigetsu turned her head away with a shrug, trying to hide her pink-tinged cheeks. "How would I know? I'm no closer to it than you are." Suisenro and his twin chuckled at their older sister's antics with Kin. The two of them were like cats and dogs but still very close. He just hoped one day they would stop bickering and teasing each other long enough to get somewhere with each other. "You two never change," he chuckled at them. "It's good to be home." "It is good to have you home, Suisenro-sama." Kin looked his way from Suigetsu with a wide smile. The two noble families sat a little longer visiting, after another hour the Masanobus headed home not wanting to wear out Suisenro since he was still recovering.--END RP-- "Lighter":

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 435 "Healing Well": It had been a while since Kin had checked in with Suisenro and he felt ashamed for not coming by sooner. He and his siblings had grown up with Suigetsu, then the twins, Suisenro and Suirenko, were born a few years later. Making the Koriyama siblings and the Masanobu siblings childhood friends. It had been decades that they had known one another, him of course knowing them longer. So not coming by to see how a childhood friend was doing was inexcusable, but with all the hype of Makino wanting to enroll in the academy, his mind had been preoccupied.
Approaching the Koriyama gate, Kin was immediately allowed to enter. Now he just needed to find Suisenro. As he crossed the grounds, Kin passed one of the groundskeepers as he stopped to ask if they knew where Suisenro might be.The groundskeeper bowed as soon as he saw Kin approaching him, "Master Kin, it's so good to see you." Kin smiled brightly, it was Nobara, one of the long-time groundskeepers for the Koriyamas. "It is good to see you as well, Nobara."Nobara returned Kin's smile, "how can I help you today, Master Kin?" "I was wondering if you might know where Suisenro-dono might be?""Oh yes. The young Master is in the garden." Nobara pointed the way of the garden. "Thank you, Nobara and you have a wonderful day.""You as well, Master Kin," Nobara bowed as the young master walked away. Making his way around the manor, Kin found his way to the garden, whereas Nobara claimed, he found Suisenro. Sitting next to the koi pond, watching and feeding the koi.Moved
