"And you know that we would never let that happen," Suigetsu said softly but with a firm edge. She shook her head at Kin and then looked to Makino. "We have the other noble clans on our side, and two of the other three Great Noble Clans are captains in the Gotei. Kuchiki and Ashimitsu would never let any harm come to Makino or the other Masanobus, nor anyone else connected to you."
Suigetsu stepped forward and placed a surprisingly gentle hand on Kin's chest, looking up at him with eyes filled with confidence. "Have faith that we can protect her. What happened to your father will not happen to your sister. I put that on my life and on my honor as the Koriyama head."

Kin's eyes narrowed, but he gently took Suigetsu's hand from his chest and held it in his own. "No one is safe from war, Suigetsu. Father died honorably, fighting for what he believed in. No matter what we thought or felt about the Winter War. It was something father believed in so to protect us."
Makino sighed, with the mention of their father but she shook it off quickly. She mourned her father's death far too long putting her life on hold. It was something he would not have wanted her to do, so back then like now she got it back on track. "Hakuryuu made the suggestion that if I could convince Kuchiki-sama as well as the other heads of the the Great Noble Households, to stand by you and to hide my identity, he'll accept it."
"I never agreed to that," Kin announced crossing his arms over his chest with a defensive look at his baby sister. "You getting audience with even one of the Great Noble Households is going to be near impossible."

Suigetsu rolled her eyes and pouted, crossing her arms. "Oh gee, thanks. What am I? Chopped liver?" She reached up and poked Kin on the forehead before he even drew breath to retort. "I'm joking. I know what you meant. And you really think that's so difficult? Well, with Kuchiki it might be difficult, but you know Tsukiro Ashimitsu and Kaori Shihoin are going to be easy as cake. And if Maki-chan gets them on her side--which you know she will--then they can influence that stick in the mud Byakuya."
"I still say this is a bad idea," Kin retorted. "No matter how many Nobels keep their mouths shut they can't silences the masses."
Suigetsu sighed heavily and shrugged her shoulders. She knew the conversation would go nowhere. They had had this conversation many times before, all with the same result. She turned back to Makino. "Do as Hakuryuu says and speak to the other heads. That's the only way you'll convince this one," Suigetsu nodded at Kin. "You know as well as we do that despite me being above him in terms of social class, Kin and I are equals. You have my vote of confidence, but I'm afraid that's not going to get you any closer to convincing him."

Makino nodded to Suigetsu, "I know, Suigetsu-sama and thank you for at least attempting to try and change his mind again." She stepped up to Suigetsu and gave her a tight hug as Suigetsu returned her gesture.
"Are you ready to go?" Makino asked turning to Jiro as the two women released one another from their hug.Jiro nodded starting a path toward his childhood friend. "Later, Suigetsu-sama," he stepped up to Makino and took her hand as he glanced over at Suigetsu once more. "and you do look really pretty tonight."Makino giggled at Suigetsu as her cheeks turned a soft shade of pink. "see told you." Makino waved at Suigetsu and her brother as the two exited out the gate door leaving Kin and Suigetsu to their own.~END RP~ "The Last Straw"

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 480 "Surprises at the Masanobu Manor": Riku stood at the gate of the Tori manor. He recognized the building, having passed by it several times on heists and stakeouts before. Today he wore a powder blue and navy blue gradient kimono with violet chrysanthemums embroidered into the sleeves and skirt. It was one of his mother's kimonos. One of his favorites. He took a deep breath and pressed the call button on the gate, waiting patiently for an answer or for someone to come out to greet him.
Riku was nervous. This was Makino's home. Her mother, Saya Tori's, home. His heart was beating out of his chest with excitement. He was finally going to meet the one responsible for so many beautiful kimonos. But not only that, he was just excited that he was getting to spend time with Makino.
He smoothed his hair and kimono skirt down as he waited anxiously.

While cleaning up from breakfast in the kitchen, Koko heard the gate bell ring. She paused, looking toward the front of the manor with a puzzled expression. Tossing her dishtowel onto the counter, she started making her way to the front gate. It was unusual, as neither Lady Saya, Takehiro-sama, nor Kin-sama had mentioned any visitors for the day. When she finally reached the gate, Koko opened the small door embedded in the larger gate and found herself face-to-face with Naoru's little brother, Riku. Her face lit up with a bright smile. "What a surprise! We weren't expecting to see you until Saturday." Stepping aside, she gestured for Riku to enter. "Lady Makino is in the dojo. I'll show you the way." Riku bowed to Koko and smiled warmly. "Thank you. Sorry to drop by. Makino expressed that I was welcome to come by earlier in the week if I was able. I hope this isn't a bad time.""Nooo, not at all," Koko said with a carefree wave of her hand as she and Riku began their walk toward the dojo. "Lady Makino will be happy to see you." She leaned slightly toward Riku, her hand covering her mouth in a conspiratorial manner as if sharing a secret. "You'll be getting her out of training. She will be elated." Koko's eyes sparkled with mischief, knowing how much Lady Makino would appreciate the unexpected break. They continued down the path, the sounds of their footsteps mingling with the gentle rustle of leaves in the manor's serene garden. The anticipation of the reunion added a lightness to their steps.
