Filler Arc - Pass the Post Halloween Challenge (Part 9 of 13)
All throughout the Soul Society Haunted Houses and Houses of Illusion were popping up. One would have thought just a few would have sufficed, but every Division had one. Even the Sixth Division. Which Yorusuke found rather odd with their captain being Byakuya Kuchiki. It seemed family life seem to be settling him down, though Yorusuke believed the Captain’s kid sister and lieutenant Abarai had a big hand in this as well. Not just his new squeeze and her family. Even though he found it odd that the Captain allowed a House of Illusion in his Division, Yorusuke did not find it odd that the only thing he was allowed to do in the way of helping with said House of Illusion was lure people in. It was not a bad gig, but the list of rules Byakuya gave to him was as long as his arm, if not both. The top rule was not to scare the little ones to the point of crying. THAT ONLY, just took all the fun out of the holiday they call Halloween, but Yorusuke found a way around it and made it fun.
As he stood there lurking at the entrance, none other than Byakuya Kuchiki and his woman stepped up to the entrance. Yorusuke smiled at him with a bow. “Enter and you shall have the thrill of a life time.” Yorusuke said in a creepy tone as old ripped and dirty bandages hung from his body.
Only a little flesh was visible, but it was the normal flesh one would expect to see. With the help of Riuka and one of her girlfriends, they did a little latex work and make it look as if it was the bone of the Mummy you were seeing.
“Mummies do not speak.” Byakuya told him as they walked past him into the House of Illusion.
“Yeah, how do you know? Did you ask your Mummy?” Yorusuke bit back.
Byakuya looked over his shoulder with a scowl look, but held his tongue since Saya was with him. He did not want to ruin the evening when she was having such a good evening and he had to admit he was as well. He turned forward again and the two entered the House of Illusion.
Once they disappeared into the darkness Yorusuke grabbed the nearest member of the Gotei and put him in his place. “Stay here man! I have to take a wicked piss and it is going to take me a minute to unwrap to do it!” Yorusuke took off toward the barracks. “DON’T YOU DARE LEAVE UNTIL I GET BACK!!”
“I won’t damn.” The guy expressed with a sigh as he combed his fingers through his hair.
On his way to the barracks Yorusuke took a detour out of sight, and appeared behind the House of Illusion. “Now is my chance.” He grinned madly. “With the way they have this set up Byakuya won’t know if it was the House of Illusion or someone interfering.” Yorusuke took off to the top of the House and lowered himself down inside it once he concealed his energy completely. Once to the floor he heard his Captain and his woman coming his way. He drew his blade and whispered.
“Seigenganai Tsukiyo.”
As they entered the next room is was a starlit night of beauty and tranquility. The full moon reflecting off the lakes surface, it was a true romantic setting for a couple such as his Captain and Saya. He could hear them whispering to one another as Saya stepped into Byakuya, his arms wrapping around her tightly. She giggled as she tiptoed up their lips drawing closer.
Yorusuke watched as they drew even closer close. Suddenly out of nowhere Aizen Sousuke appeared behind Saya with his zanpakuto drawn and drove it through the love of his life’s back. Saya withered in Byakuya’s arms as the man could only stand there dumfounded at what just happened. You could see he was trying to remind himself it was only an illusion, but what had happen hit so close to home the man could do nothing but stand frozen with Saya in his arms and look at the man he called enemy.
Sousuke Aizen—
Yorusuke sheathed his blade and disappeared back out the way he came. He took his place back at the entrance. Dismissing the guy that was covering for him, “Thanks man.” He smirked as he turned away from him and started off like he had never left.
