"A Father's Last Act II":
Shinsato sat across from the Tervaden child, his grandson. He smiled as the boy mocked his movements and sighs. "Tell me, Kadaj." he said, rising from his seat and kneeling in front of the child. "Do you know why you're here?" The child did not answer him. "Do you know who I am?" Still, the child did not answer. "Do you know who he is?" questioned Shinsato, looking to his son, Alister. The boy remained silent.
Rising to his feet, Shinsato sighed. "Alister..."
"I was acting on the wishes of Tervaden."
"And yet, somehow, that does not make the action any less foolish." said Shinsato, looking to his son. "If, indeed, his last words were to protect his son.." He sighed and shook his head. "I am sure that this is not what he meant. You can not simply take a child from his mother and expect no retribution."
"Retribution?!" chuckled Alister. "From human woman? You forget that she is merely a vessel. She, herself, holds no power. And, Sumi can not harm me."
"Fine." said Shinsato, crossing his arms over his chest. "You do not fear retribution. But, you can not possibly think that this is without consequence. He is not a god. He can not stay here."
"He is part god."
Shinsato closed his eyes and shook his head. "It is not enough."
"You...You want me to take him back?"
"Yes. i do." Shinsato turned to his son with a smile. "But, his return will be so much more."
"What do you mean?"
"You are going with him. And, to ensure that you cause no more harm...From this moment forward, you are bound by the word of this boy - Unable to move unless has given you permission. You will be mute - Your voice heard by only this child you care for."
"No." said Alister, stepping toward his father. "I will not allow this! You can not do this to me!"
"Disobey me, and you die. Which is it, boy? Death or a life of servitude?"
