Kenpachi crunched a toothpick between his teeth. "As long as you don't mess up again, Madarame," he murmured.
Yachiru giggled, drawing on some parchment. "Ken-nii warned ya. If you bore him, he'll kick your ass so hard you'll be sent to Fourth Division," she cackled, scribbling red paint for blood over the stick figures on her page.

Ikkaku groaned, rubbing the back of his skull. "Yeah, yeah, you can blame Yumi for that. If he hadn't stuck me with his paperwork, I wouldn't have numbers floating in my head and I would have been the one kicking him." His eyes narrowed. "But that was the past and now I will win."

Yumichika chuckled. "I keep forgetting how small your brain is," he purred. "To think those simple numbers would tire you out."
"What was that, bastard?"
Yumichika covered his mouth with his hand. "Did I say something I wasn't supposed to say, Ikkaku-san?" he asked, eyes dancing.

Kairo laughed, running a hand through his bangs. "Now, now, you two, let's not fight," he lowered his hand, eyes dark with anticipation. "At least not before we actually have some weapons to use. It would be a shame to spend too much energy on petty remarks and not the real trouble before you."
He set both of his practice swords down at his feet and drew his zanpakutos across his back. "Hunt and revive, Tsunikitsune." The katanas vanished, changing into transparent fox spirits which faded into two ribbons around his arms, one black and one, white. "Kuroi." One ribbon rippled and two katanas appeared in his hands.

Ikkaku smirked. “I smell some fresh meet, Yumi.” “Are you sure that wouldn’t be your fried brain?” his partner purred as he set his scimitar back on the rack. Ikkaku ignored him and drew his zanpakuto, morphing it into Hozukimura. “I’m cutting him up first,” he called over his shoulder. Kairo looked over at him with the same half-smile. “I’ll knock that smile right off of you.”
“You’re welcome to try,” Kairo murmured, “but first you have to get close enough.”
Ikkaku charged. "You don't know all of my tricks, Ying Yang bastard! Split, Hozukimaru." He swung the flail-like sword up and around Kairo, grinning as the point arched towards his opponent's neck. "You shouldn't have challenged me!"

Kairo swung his head to the side, one blade coming up to the chain between the pieces and forcing the spearhead back. His second blade arched up at Ikkaku as he neared. As he backed a step, Kairo lowered himself and hooked his foot around the hotheaded fool. As Ikkaku stumbled, his zanpakuto’s strength faltered. Kairo flicked his blade, spinning it away from him.

Ikkaku grinned as he fell backwards. "Nice beginning, but," he yanked at his chain, pulling it back rapidly with his fall, "not good enough." Kairo turned, but not fast enough, and the spearhead raked through his forearm. "First blood~" Ikkaku hissed from the ground.

Kairo stood, looking at the 'scratch' on his arm. He shrugged. "I never really cared for that part in the fight." He sidestepped as Yumichika came at him before he could step over to Ikkaku. "Tag-teaming instead of attacking me together, are you?" He blocked the sickle shaped blade with one of his own as it swiped upwards, cutting away some of his kimono, and struck down between the blades to halt Yumichika's movements and barely missing his hand. "That's pretty mean of you," he chuckled, holding his blades and keeping Yumichika's frozen.
"This is a stalemate, isn't it?" he continued, voice light.

Yumichika chuckled then smirked. "Maybe for most people but not here," he said, calling his zanpakuto back and swinging down with the sealed sword, ignoring the pinch as Kairo's blades scored across his shoulder and hand. He grinned with a wicked light in his eyes. "Now all of us are marked in blood," he declared, as a cut appeared on Kairo's chest.

Kairo chuckled again, examining his wound, as they both pulled back "I think Tsuki would be angry that I missed that opening," he murmured to himself then turned to the side as Yumichika lunged forward. His opponent morphed the blade back into his sickle shape. "It's time to raise the stakes," Kairo said, eyes narrowing, calling his blades back and spinning on his heel, keeping his ribbons safe. Using a dash of hoho, he appeared on Yumichika's opposite side and slammed the back of one arm against his hilt and the next against his back.

As Yumichika swung at Kairo again, Tsukiro shunpo'd in front of Kairo and raised his zanpakuto and his short sword in an x pattern, stopping his blade cold.
"What's the matter, Kai? Not in a winning mood today? You usually do better than this."

Kairo chuckled, standing up from his kicking crouch. "I was just about to change that when you appeared," he stated. "It's been a while since they've fought me. I wanted to give them a winning chance."

Tsukiro chuckled and backed up next to Kairo. "Sure. Well, since it's been a while, how about I give you some help?" He raised his swords into a fighting stance.

"Who says you weren't the one needing the chance?" Ikkaku crowed. He pointed his spear at Tsukiro, grinning widely. "Hey, shadow boy, no one's here to stop us from brawling today. Prepare to cry mercy!"

Yumchika brushed his hair back. "That does remind me. I haven't paid you back for ruining that beautiful day the other day, have I?" he chuckled, eyes gleaming. "What do you say, Ashimitsu? Will you team up with your old friend against us," he morphed his blade once more into Fuji Kujaku, "and who ends up on the ground has to buy the other team sake for the night?"
"And dinner," Ikkaku hollered.
"And dinner," Yumichika murmured in agreement.
