"In the Commander's Protection":Tsukiro arrived in front of the squad ten barracks with Kita still in his arms, doing the best he could to staunch her reiatsu with kido. He walked up to the guards who faltered as they came close. "You two!! Open the gates, then one of you call the fifth division! I need kido barriers surrounding the entire tenth squad barracks! The other get ahold of the Captain Commander!! I'm sure he already knows this girl is here by her reiatsu, but get ahold of him anyway!" The guards bowed to him and pushed open the gates. Tsukiro ran inside with Kita. He shouted to some others lingering around the courtyard. "Anyone who's good with Kido come with me! Now!" They followed him back to his room in the living quarters. When they arrived, Tsukiro walked inside and laid her down on his couch. Together, he and the squad members raised several protective barriers around the living quarters. He dismissed them and sat down with Kita, waiting for the Captain Commander to arrive.

Another barrier emerged over the smaller ones, a glowing light blue sphere that slowly soaked up the reiatsu in the area. Once it was in place, the Captain Commander returned the ball to his pocket, walking over to the two lovers.
He chuckled. "I'm sure you have tales, both bad and surprising, to tell me, but as of now, you're to come with me." Tsukiro nodded and stood up, holding Kita closely to him.
The Captain Commander sighed as he got a look at her tear-filled eyes and black and blue face, taking off his precious kimono and draping it over her.
He turned to Tsukiro again. "You'll be glad to know, young man, that Central is still fussing over their own mortality and the loss of Ryouma's powers and aren't asking other questions. So far, I have kept my promise to Kisuke."
He turned around, murmuring a few words. The barrier faded from view, but Kita's reiatsu was shielded. "Let's go. Stay nearby."

Tsukiro nodded and followed the commander closely behind him.
"What's going to happen to her? I don't want Central finding out she's here. I'll hide her if i have to, but she won't be safe in Karakura. We can protect her here."
His head was spinning. He could barely think straight. All he wanted to do was keep Kita out of Aizen's hands. He would do anything to keep her safe.

Kita walked along with them as she shook her her head. "I am not safe here. Not with Azayaka still being part of the Gotei 13. She is how Aizen is getting in an out of here. If it were not for her I am sure you would know when Aizen came in and out. She is the one that helped him escape and take Yumiko." Kita shook her head as she started to cry again.
"I escaped, but what will he do to the others because of it? What will he do to Gin." Fear filled her eyes finally realizing what her actions may have cause for the others.

"Don't worry baby. Kisuke and the others will get them. The soul reapers here will deal with Aizen's daughter. Right now we need to worry about you," Tsukiro caught up to them and took Kita's hand. "Everything will be fine, baby. I'm here now. You're safe."

Kita turned quickly and wrapped her arms around Tsukiro's neck and sobbed. "I am so sorry for the other night when I did not know it was you. I was so scared and Loki would not stop with making himself look like you to torment me more. I am so sorry." She cried to him. "I was so mad at Gin for what he did. Even though I know he had to keep up his act for Aizen. He could have dealt with it differently."
She pulled away from him embracing his face with both hands and kissed him over and over again. "I missed you so much. I was so scared."

Tsukiro picked her up bridal style and continued to follow Kyoraku. As he followed he kissed her back, placing his forehead against hers. He looked into her eyes.
"I don't care. I don't blame you. It hurt, yes. But I care more about your well being than petty things. I promised you I would make everything better, and I WILL. One step at a time."

"Gin Ichimaru has chosen his path. If he pays for it, that's his fate," the Commander murmured. He glanced over his shoulder at the two of them. "Do be careful of my kimono, third seat. I'd hate for it to get dirt on it." Tsukiro and Kita hurried to make sure the over-long kimono on her was in fact lifted high enough, and he chuckled, turning back to the front. "As for Azayaka, we are in the process of looking for her. Maybe I will bring some mug shots to you, if we can't pinpoint her exact location shortly." They arrived at the First Division. "However, until I hear from those at the shop and my captains, your zealous lover is correct. The priority is to hide you, and we will." Dismissing his guards, Kyoraku entered his office, pulled a hidden lever which moved his desk, and revealed a flight of stairs. Tsukiro set Kita down and illuminated the flight with a ball of Kido. Pushing another lever, the Captain Commander joined them as the desk moved back over them. They descended down the stairs and the hallway after that, to a large secret suite.

"Helpful Sparrow":
Toshiro Hitsugaya sat at his desk, his hand furiously blowing through a pile of documents and paperwork. On both his desk and covering his once again absent lieutenant's desk were mountains of paperwork to be completed. He finished the document he had been working on then set down his pen. He groaned as he massaged his wrist, twisting his hand until his joint cracked, providing a bit of relief. He sighed and looked around at the piles and piles of paper and files.
"Dammit, Ashimitsu. What a time you picked to leave." He looked over at Rangiku's desk and growled. "Especially when I still can't get her to do any of her work." He looked down at the stack he had been working on for the past hour. His expression morphed from irritated to exhausted. His head fell forward until his forehead hit the desk. "Why do I even bother with her? She's always been this way. I knew that the moment I entered this squad way back then."

Shinji Hirako whistled as he strode through the barracks of the Tenth Division, a wide grin on his face and Suzume trying to keep up behind him. A few people looked at them but another pointed smile sent them back to work. He kicked the door to the Captain's and Lieutenant's office open, ignoring his fifth seat's squeak, and waved.
"You look half dead there, shortie. Need some help?" he called over.

Catching her breath as they stopped, Suzume winced as her abrasive captain slammed the doors backwards and addressed Captain Hitsugaya as short. "Um, Captain, maybe that's the wrong way..." she stopped talking and started walking again as her long-legged captain pushed into the office, nearly leaving her behind.
I hope he's not going to do something stupid," she moaned to herself. It's dangerous when he's bored.

Hitsugaya lifted his head up. The paper stuck to his forehead as he did. He growled and plucked it off, placing it in the finished pile. He gave Hirako an annoyed look. "What do you want, Captain Hirako? Make it fast. I have work to do, as you can plainly see."
He glanced behind him to see Suzume Shizuka standing there, quiet and meek as a mouse. He nodded to her in greeting.

Suzume smiled slightly and nodded, fumbling with her glasses as they fell off her nose. She squeaked in protest as her captain walked up to Hitsugaya's desk and leaned over him with that daring grin of his.
"Captain, please wait -" she stuttered, running over and grabbing his hand. "He's busy, You-"

Shinji easily lifted her off the ground as she clung to his arm. "Look at the sparrow on my arm~" he announced with a grin.
Suzume blushed and glowered at him. "You're being rude. Again!" she retorted, trying to get back on the ground, without letting him go.
The Visored laughed and turned back to Hitsugaya, who now had a raised eyebrow in warning. He smirked. "What do you say I lend you this little bird until you either get your third seat back or you corner Matsumoto into work?" he said with a wave of his free arm. "She's a good worker."
He snickered as she let go of his arm at that and fell over.
"Well? What do you say, short stuff? Want my help?" he taunted.

Hitsugaya raised an eyebrow at Hirako then looked down at Suzume on the ground. She blushed and turned her head away. Thinking of her clumsiness, Hitsugaya shuddered at the mess she would obviously make carrying the stacks of papers and documents. And yet, he needed the help desperately. Tossing the pros and cons back and forth in his mind, he swallowed hard, groaning in his thought process. When he had made his decision, he sighed.
He looked up to Hirako and nodded, then turned to Suzume. "Can you start now?"
