Hitsugaya's gaze turned to Kyoraku. His tone was serious and his eyes held no hesitation. "As true as that may be, we need Ashimitsu's abilities. He and Matsumoto are essential in my squad's cohesion and cooperation. Though he is reckless and lets his emotions get the best of him, he is an exceptional Soul Reaper. I told you that before, and I stand by it even now. He will be given consequences when the time comes, but for the moment I need him with us when we go to Las Noches. It would be a mistake to leave him behind, regardless of his mindset."

Kisuke's eyes bore into Tsukiro. "Mistake or not. If he gives me or anyone more grief over this he will be left behind. Behind bars. Kita is just as important to me as she is to him. I have known her for much longer not only is she like my own daughter. I made a promise to her parents that I would take care of her. I will not have him going in there half cocked and ruin any and all chances of not only rescuing her but the others as well."
Kisuke looked to Kyoraku. "What is your verdict on this? Do you agree?"

Shunsui lowered the hat over his eyes, still immensely angry. "That decision is yours, Kisuke. Even if Sousuke moved before we could, I am still leaving both Karakura Town and the rescue mission in your hands. You're the best choice."

Juushiro set a hand on his friend's shoulder then turned to Kisuke and Hitsugaya. "Is it safe to put him on the force immediately?" he asked. He paused then spoke his mind. "This reminds me too much - forgive me, Hitsugaya-san - of the state Hinamori-chan was under when she attacked you."

Hitsugaya grit his teeth at the memory.
"I don't see that happening with Ashimitsu. Hinamori was confused and upset. She didn't know what to believe. With him, he knows exactly what is happening. It may not be visible from a situation like this, but I have seen Ashimitsu's anger make him stronger and more aware. If anything, we might have more of a chance now than if Kita wasn't there."

"Do whatever you want with me, but do it after the mission. I'm going whether any of you want me to or not. I don't care if you court martial me afterwards, but I will be going with the rest of my squad," Tsukiro spoke with resolution. His voice sounded of one who could not be swayed.

Kisuke looked to Tsukiro once more. "I am saying this once and only once. If you as so much as step a hair out of line and go against one order you are given. I will see you spend the rest of your life not only in the soul society behind a desk, but you will not be allowed to come near Kita. And I will go as far as to erase her memories of not only you but of the rest of us too to keep her safe from all this mess. Is THAT Understood?!"
Kisuke was blunt and forceful with his demands on this. He was not budging and if one thing could be said about what Kisuke Urahara said--
It was truthful and fact.

Shunsui shook his head. "I hope you're right, Hitsugaya-kun." He handed Kisuke the papers he'd prepared after choosing to make him the leader of this expedition and turned to leave the room, muttering something under his breath about nap and definitely not ready. He paused at the door. "Good luck to you both."

Juushiro set a hand on Hitsugaya, knowing he had brought back a terrible memory, and looked to Kisuke. "I will try to join you shortly," he said with a small smile. "Apparently, Shunsui thinks I need a health checkup."

Hitsugaya nodded to Urahara and the other captains before looking pointedly at Ashimitsu. His third seat sighed and turned on his heel, heading for the door.
Before following him out, he said over his shoulder, "I'll make sure he stays in line. Good night." He bowed and left with his squad member.

Kisuke nodded to Kyoraku taking the papers, sighed at Tsukiro's actions, nodded again at Toshiro and chuckled at Juushiro's comment. Once Toshiro and Tsukiro left the room he rested his hand to Juushiro's shoulder.
"Take care of your health, old friend. I might need your brain later."
Kisuke patted Juushiro's shoulder gently but firmly. "Shall we catch up with the old man? I will walk with you to the Fourth. I want to see how Rangiku is doing anyway. She faced off with that espada that took Kita."

Juushiro's eyes widened. "Is she alright? If they're anything like before, they aren't something Rangiku-san should have been up against alone." He followed Kisuke out of the room.

Kisuke nodded slightly, "she is fine I hope. She said she only suffered a bump on the head and a twisted ankle. Let's hope Isane doesn't fine anything else."
The two continued walking to the fourth division.

"Then they only wanted to kidnap your girl," Juushiro murmured. When Kisuke's eyes narrowed in response, Juushiro set a hand on his shoulder. "At least the Hougyoku is sealed. If we don't consider the good, we won't see the end of the bad."
