Kisuke looked to Kairo and wrinkled his nose trying to figure out where the boy got the idea of separating the different talents, but he decided to cover the most obvious first. “Eighth division and Second division have nothing in common; other than its Captain and Lieutenant. Special Ops and a normal fighting force do not belong merged like they are. The Captain and the Lieutenant are Special Forces. Not common. Their talents are being wasted.” Kisuke stood and walked the floor around the office, clearly befuddled by the boys statement.
“The Eight division is a mass reinforcement division. Their Shinigami are split into groups that are talented in Kidou, offensive tactics, or defensive tactics. When any of the other divisions require extra Shinigami or reinforcements, the Eight is the division they turn to first.” He scratched the top of his head under his hat as he looked at both boys. “It would seem I need to have a refresher on the divisions with a few. Starting with you two. But we will do that another time. Let’s talk about Second division. I at least hope you know something about it.”
He turned propping his hands to the back of the couch he was sitting at, leaning over the back of it he looked at both of them. “What is the Second division?”
“The Second Division is, Onmitsukido it being the main setting for said five other branches under them.” Tsukiro stated.
“Yes, the Stealth Force is Secret Tactics; it is the second largest organization that Shinigami join, and one of the three main branches of military in Soul Society. If the Gotei 13 operates openly, the Onmitsukido patrols and conducts surveillance in enemy territory and carries out top-secret operations, such as assassinations and the execution of Shinigami who have broken the law. SO! If the Gotei 13 is considered an exterior guard, then the Onmitsukido is…”
“An interior, covert guard.” Kairo stated.
"BINGO!!" Kisuke exclaimed pointing at Kairo.
“But there are five other branches under them.” Kairo added.
“Yes there are. There is the Executive Militia, the ‘Punishment Force’. The first branch of the Onmitsukido. It is ranked the highest of the five branches in the division. The Executive Militia carries out missions that involve combat. They specialize in the unarmed combat technique known as Hakuda and are able to operate silently and in secrecy. Their main duty is to carry out missions requiring the use of force. Their responsibilities include punishment and assassination of ex-comrades who break the law, and they also act as scouts during battle against Hollows. Its members are dressed all in black and are known for their cold-bloodedness. It is normally headed by the Commander-in-chief of the Onmitsukido.” Kisuke looked pointedly at the boys, “which was my wife. That brings us to the Patrol Corps ‘Security Force’. The second branch of the Onmitsukido. The intelligence gathering within the Seireitei. If you need a job description on that one you're both fired." He looked to both boys and continued.
"Then we have the Detention Unit or aka, ‘Management Force’. The third branch of the Onmitsukido. The Detention Unit is responsible for the imprisonment and supervision of all criminals within the Seireitei. The fourth branch of the Onmitsukido was shut down when Central 46 was shut down. However, we are going to be reopening it making it a new branch. It will be a special sub-division charged with acquiring information essential to preserving our means of life. And the fifth branch of the Onmitsukido. The Inner Court Troop." Kisuke put his hands on his hips and looked to the boys again.
"The Inner Court Troop serves as the information transmission unit within the Seireitei. A special ops unit that is mobilized whenever a mission is urgent and requires secrecy.”
He walked around behind the couch where they sat and looked to one, then the other. “Can either of you tell me what all of these branches have in common?”
