Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 415 "First Visit; The Healing Begins": It was her first day of therapy as Kita walked through the Fourth Division, relieved that the therapist's office was located in the medical division of the Gotei. As of late, it seemed to be the only division she frequently visited so to help heal the wounded and sick. Which meant she knew her way around the grounds. Following the directions Juushiro had given her, she followed the twists and turns to a quaint white building.
“Imagine that! It is small.” Kita giggled to herself, remembering the conversation she had with Kisuke just before she left.
“It’s a small white building,” Kisuke told her.
With a bewildered look of ‘Really?’, Kita looked at Yoruichi sitting at the table with them. Looking back to her surrogate father she exclaimed. “All the buildings in the Gotei are white!” Kisuke adjusted his hat looking at her from under it, and with all sincerity replied. “But it’s small.”
She could not help but giggle again. As she walked closer to the building she saw a small wooden plaque with an engraved brass plate hanging at the side of the door. It read:
Dr. sum to, do, M. ; Psy. ; L.M.H. She giggled again stepping up on the stoop, pushing back the delicate vines and colorful flowers adorning the walls. Dr. Kusumoto, Endo M.D; Psy.D; L.M.H.C.
“Yep, that’s who I am here to see.” She let the vines fall from her hand. The vines and flowers were a nice touch, giving the building a cozy and inviting appearance. It made the white building stand out against the other white buildings that surrounded it. Before entering she took a long deep breath. As the air filled her lungs, a sweet gentle smell tickled her senses, jasmine. The scent seems to come from the small garden of flowers that lines the front of the building. Tucking a loose strand of raven hair back behind her ear, the wind carried the gentle sound of chimes hanging from the roof, creating a soft tinkling noise that added to the calming atmosphere of the building. Perched nearby, a chorus of chirping birds could also be heard.
If she was nervous before, she wasn’t now. The peaceful ambiance of the office had a calming effect on her. "It's clever to have such a tranquil entrance," she remarked, grasping the door handle. “It puts the patient at ease before the storm." She entered the office to check in before she was late, noticing the interior was just as tranquil.
It was a symphony of pastel hues, with soft yellow walls and cream-colored accents. Soft white floor tiles gave the illusion of stepping on clouds, while delicate floral decorations hung from the ceiling, casting intricate shadows on the walls. The furniture was simple yet elegant with its clean, white lines, and the windows were dressed in light, flowing curtains that let in gentle sunlight.
Walking toward the sign-in window, Kita went to check in as she smiled at the receptionist who was a young girl with sleek black hair that fell in a perfect curtain around her heart-shaped face. Her almond-shaped eyes were a deep brown and sparkled with intelligence. Only adding to the delicate, porcelain-like features of her skin.
The girl waited for Kita to finish checking in as she read what Kita had written down on the sign-in sheet. The receptionist then handed Kita a clipboard with at least 6 pieces of paper on it. Then looked at Kita and smiled, her hand lifting as she pointed at a cup of pens.“You can get a pen over there.” Kita looked in the direction she pointed, then back to the girl. “Thank you.”The receptionist smiled with a nod as she watched Kita walk away to retrieve a pen. “When you're done, just bring them back up.” Kita only nodded as she thumbed through the paperwork, taking a seat so to fill them out. It did not take her long to get the papers filled out and when she stood to take the papers back to the receptionist, the door to the back opened and an older gentleman called out her name.

“Miyamoto, Kita?”
Kita looked his way with a nod, “that’s me.” she remarked as his hand extended toward her.
“I can take those.”
Kita handed him the paperwork she had filled out as he started looking through them. “I am Doctor Kusumoto, Endo,” he looked up from the papers with an offered hand.
Kita shook his hand with a warm smile. He was an older doctor with white hair, combed back over his head. He was wearing a soft blue shirt and black pants. His eyes were a warm slate gray and he had a very kind smile.
“Come in and we can talk,” Endo told her.
Kita followed Dr. Kusumoto to the room where he spoke to his patients. This room was nothing like the waiting room, with dark woods and colors of brown, tan, and cream. As for the furniture in the room, there was a large bookcase, a coffee table, two end tables, and three lounge chairs--two lush brown armchairs and a chaise lounge. Plants, statues, and paintings dotted the room. There was a window in the room, but it showed very little light. Only the lamps in the room gave light and that light was warm and soothing to the soul. In the background soft sounds of rain filled the room.
As the doctor sat down he gestured to the lounge chair across from him, he then reached over next to him and turned on the tape recorder that sat on the end table. “Tell me a little bit about yourself, Miyamoto.”
Kita sat, making herself comfortable. When he asked her to tell him about herself she scoffed softly. “You want me to tell you about my life or”--she placed her hand to her chest, gesturing to her person--“who I am?”
“I want to know what kind of person you are,” Endo remarked.
“Before or after Las Noches?” Kita asked.
“I will let you decide, but know whatever one you choose we will at some point talk about the other,” Endo explained to her.
Kita nodded folding her hands in her lap. “Well, I guess you could say I am a little naïve, I wear my heart or more so, my feelings on my sleeves. I am too trusting, and if you bad mouth or try to hurt my family or friends you will get a piece of my mind, and then some. I don’t sugarcoat things. If I have something to say I am going to say it if you like it or not. I am blunt and I will stand up for what I believe in by any means necessary, regardless of any difficulties, problems, or obstacles.”
“So is this you before or after Las Noches?” Endo questioned.
“Before and after,” Kita responded.
Endo looked at the woman confused. “So there is more?”
Kita nodded, “After Las Noches, the traits added were a killer, a bitch, immortal, powers, and my mind being FUBAR’ed.”
“FUBAR’ed?” Endo asked.

“Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition,” Kita explained.
“And who”--he paused--“FUBAR’ed you.”
“If I had to pick who screwed with my head the most.” She sighed. “There would be a lot of Gold medals to hand out, and I’m part of causing this to myself.”
“How is that, Miyamoto?”
“Too strong-willed?” Kita shrugged. “Hardheadedness. Too spirited. You pick. Whatever one you pick you’ll be right. There are no wrong answers with this one.”
Endo nodded. “So tell me about your life?”
“Where do you want me to start?”
“From the beginning.”
Kita sighed. “I was born to Mia and Tanaka Miyamoto, in Tokyo. When I was born I was bless--” Kita stopped short. “Let me reword that. I was chosen. There was nothing blessed about being a vessel to a God.” Her head shook at the thought of it all, then continued.
“For the first 10 years of my life, we lived in Tokyo.”
“Did you know you were the vessel at this age?”
“No. Sumi stayed pretty well hidden from me when I was younger.”
“Sumi? The Seraph’s name?” He watched Kita nod, “So the mark.” Endo pointed at his neck as a gesture to hers. “Was your curiosity not piqued as to what it was?” Kita shrugged, “my mother told me it was a unique birthmark. I never questioned it again.”

Endo nodded slowly, “You can continue, please.”
Kita picked up where she left off. “When I was 10, my father and mother decided they wanted no more of city life, so they moved us to the suburbs.”
“So, Karakura Town?” Endo suggested.
Kita’s head bobbed, “yes.”
“And that is when you met Urahara and the others?” Endo asked.
“No, it was a year later I met Kisuke and other soul reapers. However, it was the year I met Ichigo and his family. I went to the same school as them.”
Endo cocked his head slightly with a confused look. “You went to school with the Substitute?”
Kita looked at the doctor with a confused look. “Well yeah. How old do you think Ichi is?”
“His mid-forties at least,” Endo replied.
Kita giggled, “I won’t tell Ichi you said that,” she continued to giggle. “He is only four years older than me, making him 37.”
“So you’re 33 years old?” Endo inquired.
“Yes,”
“So you met Urahara and the others at the age of 11?” her head nodded, “did Urahara know you were the vessel for the Seraph?”
“Not at first, but he figured it out quickly.”
“And Ichimaru. When did he come into your life?”
“I was 11, but he was not, really, part of my life then. When he came into my life he was barely alive.”
“So you knew of the man?”
“Yes, and I was told all the stories about him and how dangerous it was to trust him. When he was finally healed and woke I was a few days from turning 12.”
“What did Ichimaru think of you?”
Kita giggled as she looked down at her hands. “He hated me. With a passion. As Gin used to say, ‘A naive insignificant pipsqueak that did not know how to take no for an answer’.”
“So you pushed yourself on him?”
Kita giggled, “No, he was sad and lonely. He just needed someone to understand him and not judge him. Plus, I was a 12-year-old girl, and I only wanted to be his friend.”
“After being told everything he had done? He was a traitor. A killer.” Endo commented.

Kita’s head nodded. “Yes, he was.”
“Was?” Endo replied.
“Yes!” Kita raised her voice. “Was! Gin was punished for his crime of betrayal. That punishment was they stripped him of his title as Captain. They sealed Shinsou from him and banished him from his home. And still, he was not free, they continued to punish him by assigning Kisuke as his keeper. Gin could not breathe without someone at the shop telling him what to do or what he could not do.”
Once more she cast her eyes to her hands that rested in her lap.
“I felt so bad for him. No one trusted him. They badmouthed him.”
“Can you blame them? Look at his past life.”
Kita narrowed her eyes at the doctor not commenting on what he said and continued. “In the beginning, when we first met, Gin was fine with me. I was a kid, and if you know anything about Gin you know he is a sucker for kids, but if I got on his nerves he would just ignore me until I finally went away.”
She looked up at Endo, tears pooling in her eyes. “But things started to change with him.”
“What took place for him to start disliking you?” Endo questioned.
“His life was on trial. And it was not just me, he was snippy with everyone. It got to the point he wanted nothing to do with me. He was mean and hateful to me. Ignored me. Called me an insignificant human, a brat, an annoyance…”
“Pipsqueak,” Endo reminded her.
Her head nodded, “but I did not give up on him. I couldn’t.”
“Why would you chase the coattails of a man who was 10 times your age, mean to you, and hated you?” Endo inquired. “And dangerous on top of all mentioned.”
“He needed me.”

Endo’s head shook. “I don’t believe you. Ichimaru is a bloodthirsty killer. His heart black as night and colder than Captain Hitsugaya’s ice dragon.” “That just goes to show you judge before you get to know someone. You don’t judge people, or lecture them for what they did. They know what they did was wrong, and a lot of them try to atone for it. As was Gin. Slowly he was atoning for his past deeds, and no matter what I was told, and I was told some pretty wild things about him--even Gin himself told me some pretty crazy stories about his past.” Her head shook as she made eye contact with the doctor. “I never judged him, I never preached at him, and I never made him feel like he didn’t belong. In the end, he was one of my best friends and I loved him with all my heart. I defended him from others. No one spoke badly of him in my presence or they got a piece of my mind.” She looked pointedly at her doctor. “Still to this day, I protect his honor.”Endo sighed shaking his head and looking at his watch. “Gin is a good man. I could not ask for a better life partner or a father for the children.” she looked on at Endo. “Does Gin still harbor darkness in his heart? Of course he does, but who doesn’t? I would still take Gin with all his flaws and quirks over any man in this realm or any other. He loves me and his sons and has proved that more than once by putting his life in danger for us.”“I have one more question for you before our time has ended,” Endo told Kita as she looked on at him waiting for the question. “When did Ichimaru have a change of heart with you?” Kita paused in thought for a moment as she thought back to her and Gin’s time together in the earlier years. “I guess it depends on what you mean by ‘change of heart’.” She giggled softly. “I don’t think Gin, really, ever hated me. Was he annoyed with me? OH GODS YES! A lot, but what he did not know back then, was I knew he followed me home nearly every night. Making sure I got home safely. If he hated me he would have never done that.”“So you’re saying Ichimaru was a stalker?” Kita busted out with a good loud laugh. “Noooo. Everyone that knew me, knew I had a very unique reiatsu. One that was like a beacon for hollows. If I was not with Ichi. I was with Kisuke, or I was with Tsukiro, Renji, Toshiro, Rangiku or Hisagi. Someone was always with me to keep me safe. Gin was the only one who would not walk with me though. At least not until I was 17 years old. That’s when I told him I knew he was following me home every night, and had been for a very long time. He tried to play it off as Kisuke ordered him to follow me. I knew better, no one told Gin what to do. Plus, I asked Kisuke about it and he told me Gin was the one that came to him and reported that he was following me to keep me safe.”“So you're saying Ichimaru has always had a soft spot for you?” “I would not say a soft spot. I would say a tolerance.”“Hmm,” Endo hummed as he looked at his watch once more. “A couple of more minutes. Just enough time to set up your appointment times. If it is possible I would like to see you twice a week. We open at 7 AM and our day ends at 5 PM. Monday through Friday. Unless it’s an emergency. Then I have been known to come in on the weekends and after hours.” He started writing something down as he spoke to Kita. “So what would be a good time and day for you?” Kita shook her head, “Well I have the baby to tend to in the mornings. He is normally down for his morning nap by 10 AM and sleeps a good three hours.” she looked pointedly at Endo. “Do you want a break between our sessions?”“It would be best. Our conversation today barely scratched the surface. In time we will get more in-depth and I don’t want to exhaust you mentally.” Endo explained to her. He looked back at the appointment book he was holding. “How about Tuesdays and Thursdays? Say around 10:30 in the AM?” “That will be fine,” Kita remarked. She stood from her chair at the same time Endo did.
Extending his hand to her, he handed her a sheet of paper that was a calendrer month. He had written in every space that was a Tuesday and Thursday with the time, 10:30 AM. He had her booked for a solid month. “Thank you, Dr. Kusumoto,” Kita stated, taking the sheet of paper from him. “And I will see you in a few days.”He nodded slowly following her from the office. “Have a good day, Miyamoto.” She gave him a bright smile and exited the building. ~END RP~ "Going Forward"

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 455 “Second Visit; A Shove in the Right Direction”: (continued) Kita walked into the waiting room of the office, checked in, and took a seat. She grabbed the closest things to look at and or read. After a few minutes she was told the doctor was ready to see her, Kita opened the door to the sitting room. Sitting in his usual spot, Dr. Kusumoto looked up with a warm bright smile.“Hello, Mrs. Miyamoto.” Endo gestured to the chair across from him. “Dr. Kusumoto,” Kita nodded curtly to him as she made a path to the chair and took a seat.“So how was your weekend?” Endo asked her as he reached over and turned on the recorder. “It was well,” she hesitated for a brief second. “For the most part.”“Oh, was there another incident like Friday?” Kita looked at the doctor with wide eyes, then started to giggle. “I should have known you would hear about that.” She watched as he nodded slowly. “Everything worked out. No one was hurt.”

“No one but you,” Endo stated, he looked at the woman who wore a confused look.
“No, no I was not hurt,” Kita responded.
“Maybe not physically, but you were indeed hurt.”
She sighed, “Point taken. However, that was nothing compared to other past events.”
“It is something when we are trying to heal your psyche. It may not seem like much, but every little poke. Every little prod. Every little mean and hateful thing that you endure just cuts that wound a little deeper. We can’t heal you when the wound just keeps getting reopened.”
Kita sighed heavily as she fidgeted with the ring on her finger, her eyes cast to the floor. “It’s not like I can do anything about it. If I do, it just proves to them I am what they think I am.”
“I am not telling you to react to them. I am telling you to avoid them.”

Kita looked up from the floor and pointedly at the doctor. “And how am I supposed to do that? Are you going to come to the human realm for our visits?”
Endo chuckled, “Of course not, but as I am sure you have noticed you now have escorts while in Seireitei. You are to be with them at all times,” he reached over to the small table next to him where the recorder set and picked up a soul phone. “Here,” he reached across the floor and handed it to her. “When you exit the Senkaimon if your escort is not there waiting for you, you are to call this office and we will make sure they are there within seconds.”
Kita giggled shaking her head as she looked at the soul phone, “pulling out all the stops are they?” She looked up at the doctor. “We have one of these already. Do I really need two?”

“That one is your personal soul phone, and the Commander did, but Urahara had no more. So the Commander is giving you this one.” Endo explained.
Kita nodded again and slipped the phone into her pocket. “So now that is out of the way.” She paused. “What will we talk about today?”
Endo looked pointedly at her. “Your relationships.”
Kita blinked a few times. “Which one? The one with Gin? The kids? My family and or friends?”
“The one you have with Ichimaru,” Endo answered. “Last time you told me,” he flipped through his notes stopping a few pages back. “You were 12 when the two of you actually met, and even with all the warnings about him you still pursued a relationship with him.” He looked over at her as she nodded her head. “Though he did not care for you in the slightest bit.”

Kita smiled, “Mhmm, I was an insignificant pipsqueak to him.”
“But you continued to pursue him,” Endo stated.
“I did,”
“Because,” he looked back at his notes. “he needed you.” Endo looked up at her from his notes. “Are you sure it was him that needed you?”
Kita heard what he said, but she only sat there silent. She did not know what to say.
“Mrs. Miyamoto,” Endo called out to her softly.
Kita still said nothing only looked at the doctor then hung her head looking at her hands in her lap. She fidgeted with the ring once more as she spoke, voice soft and low. “Gin had no one. Not even Kisuke. At least at that time, he didn’t.” She looked up at the doctor, then quickly back down at her hands. “Kisuke hid saving Gin from the Gotei, but in time they did find out.” Kita looked up at the doctor.

Kita paused as Endo looked on at her, “go on.”
“It took nearly a year for Gin to finally be in full health or well…at least well enough to stand trial.”
“But Ichimaru had never seen the inside of a cell during this entire process,” Endo commented.
“No, he didn’t, he was pardoned and it was mostly due to Rangiku and Izuru’s testimonies.”
“I heard Urahara and Ukitake also gave testimonies?” Endo stated.
“Yes…” Kita commented giving Endo a pointed look. “They did.”
Endo looked on at her waiting for her to continue.
“Gin was stripped of his rank and sent to Captain Ukitake’s division, but Gin kept disappearing to Karakura so Captain Ukitake let him stay there under the watchful eye of Kisuke. Where he stayed since. When that happened, everyone made sure I knew the story about what took place--past and present--with Gin betraying the Soul Society and siding with Aizen. With all the information I was fed I feel like I was actually there. The way everyone saw Gin broke my heart. I just could not see what they saw.”
“And what did you see,” Endo questioned.
“A man that had already resigned to death. He was ready to die.” Tears filled Kita’s eyes as she thought back. “He was ready to throw away his second chance at the life that was given to him.”
Endo picked up the box of tissues and handed them to Kita, taking a couple she wiped her eyes and continued. The room was silent as Endo gave her a few minutes to gather her thoughts and emotions. Endo finally broke the silence.
“There had to be more that you saw in this man. After all, you claimed he is your best friend.”

Kita’s head nodded slowly, “I saw a man that nobody understood or was willing to understand. I know what Gin did was wrong, but he was willing to atone for it, but they wouldn’t give him the chance. I never judged Gin, never held his past against him, and Gin saw that once we got past the insignificant pipsqueak part.”
“So you were not scared of Ichimaru at all?” Endo asked.
“No,” Kita’s head shook. “I had no need to fear him. He was a little on the mean side, but I did not blame him for that. If I were treated the way he was I would have been a grump as well. Gin never hurt me at any time whatsoever, until he had to in Las Noches. He would get angry and I wore some bruises, but it was not because he hit me. It happened when he would protect me from the hollows.” She looked pointedly at Endo. “Gin did not have a dark soul like everyone claimed. He only lived in darkness and I could see that glimmer of light. It only needed to be ignited so it could burn brighter and cast the darkness out.”
“And you did that?” Endo questioned in disbelief.
Kita giggled, “After 21 years of abuse--physically and mentally--from the man himself. I can proudly say. Yes.”
Endo’s head tilted slightly, “When you say the man himself I am guessing you are not talking about the Soul King.”
Kita giggled shaking her head. “So Sousuke Aizen?” She shook her head again. “Mrs. Miyamoto. Are you telling me Ichimaru abused you physically and mentally? After you just told me Ichimaru never laid a hand on you.”
“Dr. Kusumoto, don’t take that the wrong way.”
“The…the wrong way?” Endo scoffed adjusting himself in his chair. “How am I supposed to take it, Mrs. Miyamoto? The man abused you and you are still with him? You have chil--” Endo stopped midsentence. “Did Ichimaru rape you? Is that why you have children with him?”
Kita lifted her hand, palm out facing the doctor. “Now just stop right there! My children were not conceived from being raped. You have no clue what went on in our life to warrant Gin’s action toward me. Our lives were controlled by Aizen. We could not go to the bathroom without that man being in the middle of our business. Furthermore, if you're going to place blame you might as well stick some of that right here on my plate. Because I gave just as much as I received. Because of Aizen, mine and Gin’s relationship was one of push and pull, but behind the curtains and out of the view of Aizen’s many eyes and ears. Gin and I were as normal as any other couple could be.”

Endo shook his head with a sigh, “we will come back to this. Let’s continue with you believing Gin needed you.”
“In reality, Doctor. We needed each other. At the time we just did not realize that. I was his light and he was my darkness. It’s how we survived Aizen, how we survived Las Noches.” She looked down at the ring on her finger and smiled. “Gin has told me many times that without me, this round against Aizen he would have lost the battle. Aizen had everything he needed to win their game. And he still nearly did. I was the reason he kept getting back up.”
Endo nodded slowly as he jotted notes down in his notebook. “Tell me Mrs. Miyamoto. Has Gin ever told you he loves you?”
Kita’s smile widened. “Yes, said and showed it many times.”
“Has he asked you to marry him?” Endo looked at her left hand where there was an apparent ring. “I see you are wearing a ring. Are the two of you already married?”
“Not yet, but in time. We are in no hurry. Neither of us is going anywhere, we have already given ourselves to one another.” She smiled softly. “It’s already been proven that neither one of us can survive without the other. We’re like magnets. Separate us and an invisible force will always pull us right back together.”
“So what of past relationships? You and Ichimaru both were involved with others before you surrendered yourselves to one another. You were dating Captain Ashimitsu, and Ichimaru as we all know was involved with the late Lieutenant Rangiku Matsumoto.”
Every muscle in Kita’s body tensed upon hearing Rangiku’s name, and flashes of that haunting day flooded her mind. Endo saw her withdraw inside herself as he quickly tried to pull her back.
“What was your relationship like with Captain Ashimitsu?” Endo watched as she slowly started to return to the conversation.

“It was good.”
“Just good?”
“It was short-lived thanks to Aizen.” Kita snapped. “What else is there to say? We were together--if we were lucky--a month. However, it didn’t end until nearly a year later. Between being treated like a yo-yo--back and forth and back and forth-- between Las Noches and Karakura,” Kita said in an almost exhausted tone, “Having my memories sealed. My family trying to kill me. Gin trying to condition me. Sumi being sealed away. Keeping Aizen from using and killing my family and friends. Keeping Tsukiro from killing Gin. Gin being in a coma, me with child--” she flung her hands upward as she continued. “--and Gods forbid that I was changing--maturing and seeing what the real world was really like. And Tsukiro? Poor Tsukiro! He couldn't do anything to stop it, and if truth be known. I didn't want him or anyone to stop it. I wanted to get stronger so I couldn't be used to hurt others, and I could finally stand against Aizen and break us all free of his grasp once and for all.”
She took a deep breath, then nearly yelled as hot tears streamed down her cheeks. “Yes! I ripped Tsukiro's heart out and handed it to him, but what else could I do?! Aizen would have tormented him, and in time killed him just to prove to me he could. He tried it with Gin. He tried to do it with Kisuke, Kenji, and Sojiro. The only thing that saved them was Sumi and her promise to me.” She wiped away the tears. “And this was only my first year in Las Noches. I still have 15 more haunting years to fill your notebook with.” She wiped away more falling tears. “Including the horrific death of one Rangiku Matsumoto.” Kita bit her bottom lip as her tears now flowed down her cheeks.
