Makino was lifting her cup to take a sip when Byakuya asked his question. She jolted slightly almost spilling her tea, but recovered it without spilling a drop. She looked over to Byakuya with wide eyes.
"The Kuchiki manor? Really?" Her bright smile resembled her mother as she nodded quickly. "I know I would be honored to visit your home, Byakuya-sama. I am sure Kouen, Shirou and Hakuryuu would feel the same."
She looked to her mother quickly. "I have heard the Kuchiki manor garden is like visiting heaven and the cherry blossoms that are growing there are some of the most beautiful in the all the Seireitei."
Saya nodded slowly. "It is very beautiful indeed."
Makino looked to Byakuya once more and waved a carefree hand at Byakuya as she lifted her cup once more. "Leave Kin here if he wants to be difficult. I want to see this garden."

Byakuya’s chuckled quietly. “I hope the gardens are as beautiful as you hope. They are my family’s pride and though I cannot spend as much time in them as I have wished, there are personal touches in certain places. And in any case, I believe it will be enough to prove your brother a fool if wishes to miss this particular chance.”

Makino smiled warmly at Byakuya. "I can not wait to see it." She looked to her mother and smiled. "You know it has been a long time since I have seen my mother smile this much and it be a true smile."
She looked back to Byakuya her heart warm and a sting in her eyes. "I am so glad you two found one another. You deserve to be happy. You're both wonderful people and I will be proud to call you father when that day comes. And not because you are Byakuya Kuchiki. Because you have shown me what a kind and caring person you truly are with my mother, myself, siblings and my pain in the backside elder brother." Her head bowed to him. "Thank you Byakuya-sama, you have truly been a Gods sent to this family." She looked back up to him a smile across her lips as a tear of happiness rolled down her cheek.Byakuya was silent and still for a moment before slowly lifting a hand to her cheek to brush the tear away. “It is I who has been blessed in the circumstances that allowed these events to happen,” he stated gently. Makino could only smile as she looked to her mother when she felt her touch her hand gently. "I am so happy for you mother." She nodded to her daughter. "Thank you, love." She patted her hand again. "I think there is a young man waiting for you to rescue him from your brothers."Makino giggled softly as she wiped away another falling tear. "The poor guy. I am sure they warped his poor innocent mind by now." Makino stood from the table and bowed to her mother and Byakuya. "Thank you for this conversation and the donated funds for the Festival."
Her mother and Byakuya nodded slowly as she turned and walked toward the door sliding it open she turned and looked at the two once more with a bright smile. "Have fun, you two, but not too much. I am not ready for a little brother or sister yet." Her mother blushed as Byakuya gave her a shocked looked, but then chuckled lightly as she slid the door closed and left them to their own for the night.~END RP~

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 480 "Surprises at the Masanobu Manor": (continued) It was no time and Makino and Kin walked into the dining room. Kin taking his place at the head of the table like their Grandfather and the rest around the table. When she walked in she saw Shirou wave her over to sit next to Riku, thus putting Riku between Shirou and herself.
She leaned Riku's way and whispered, "I hope he did not scare you. He is relatively harmless." Her eyes lifted to look at her youngest brother.Riku smiled and flushed slightly. He shook his head. "No, he was a perfect gentleman.""Makino, would you like to introduce your friend who is joining us?"Makino looked her Grandfather, Takehiro Tori's, direction. "Yes Ojīchan," Makino looked at her Grandfather, "Ojīchan, this is Riku Asuhara," She looked over at Riku, "Riku-chan this is my Ojīchan, Takehiro Tori." She then looked between the two brothers who had yet to meet Riku. "Riku-chan, this is Kouen and Hakuryuu. Hakuryuu, Kouen, Riku Asuhara."

Riku stood up from the table and bowed deeply to the Tori family, folding his hands in front of him. "Thank you all for having me. I am truly grateful for your hospitality."
He took his seat once more, smoothing down the skirt of his kimono. "You have a beautiful home and an even more beautiful family. I feel honored to have been welcomed into your home."

Takehiro nodded curtly to the young boy, "Your compliments are appreciated, Riku. It is not often that one receives such heartfelt recognition, and I am truly humbled by your graciousness."
Takehiro looked around the table as Koko started serving them, "so any new developments in the cleanup effort?"
"Jiro, Haku, Rin, Shin, Mitsuo and myself volunteered last night. Things are starting to come together, but its still a long road ahead." Makino told her grandfather.
"Are you going back out this evening, Maki-chan?" Kouen asked.
Makino's head bobbed slowly, "we figured we would help out every night that we could." She looked around the table at her brother's, "Everyone needs to do their part or we will never get Soul Society back on its feet."
Riku figured they were talking about cleaning up after the disaster that was the earthquakes. Soul Society was a mess. So much so, Riku wasn't even entirely sure that he would be able to come over to see Makino that week. He looked down at his folded hands in his lap. He knew his older siblings wanted to do something to help out. And not in the usual way they did things. Stolen dirty money would only help so much in this situation. Not only that, but it would make them a target.
"And what sort of resources are they looking for at this time?" Shirou asked. "More hands and elbow grease or something more in the way of funding for repairs?"
Makino looked around Riku at Shiro, "both, but if you're to scared to get your hands dirty," she smirked at her youngest brother. "Maybe working the healing stations would suit you best? You know how hard it is on the healers to keep up with a mess like this."
"I am shocked that they have not called the Goddess in to assist." Kin commented.
"I got to meet her last time she was here helping. She is actually a very sweet lady." Kouen's smile turned to a smirk, "to bad the Snake already has his coils wrapped around her."
"That is enough," Takehiro looked at his third-born grandson, Kouen, "you know I do not like that kind of talk at my dinner table."
Riku watched as Kouen bowed his head and apologized. He cleared his throat gently and smiled nervously as the Tori elders looked over at him. "Maybe... maybe I could get my older siblings to help out. My brothers would definitely be willing to help out with the cleaning." He paused and scrunched his nose. "Well, maybe not Satoshi. He's more of a planner than a doer. But Naoru and Shigeo definitely."
"It's a very noble act to help others when they are in need, Riku-chan. I am sure your family will be honored to step up and help the ones in need." Takehiro stated.

Riku blinked at the Tori elder, a tightness forming in his chest that he couldn't explain. Something about Takehiro Tori's words left a heavy weight in Riku's chest, but he couldn't pinpoint why. Nothing he said seemed off. It was a fairly basic if not generic response.
He nodded and smiled at the Tori elder. "I will speak with my family once I return home, then."
Their lunch was enjoyable with the rest of the conversation lighthearted and the Tori family asking Riku about himself. Once lunch was finished and everyone was dismissed, Makino and Riku headed through the manor towards her room.Moved
