Kenji watched as his father inhaled deeply and closed his eyes. He hesitated and unsheathed his blade. He was worried that his Arakure Tora would be upset with him. He was, after all, upset with himself. He took a deep breath. Feeling a sudden panic, he took another breath. "Easy, son." whispered Kisuke.Kenji nodded to himself and inhaled as deeply as he could. He closed his eyes and began to meditate across from his father. After just a few short moments, he opened and eye and smiled. Training with his father had finally begun.END RP "Relation"

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: The ChaosEpisode 519 "Split": (continued) Kenji sat atop of one the boulders that were scattered about the underground training facility. He had his right hand to his left shoulder, as he moved his arm in a circle. Seto walked in, Ide following close behind. "Heya, Seto. Ide." Kenji waved a hand with a wide smile. "I'm Kenji. Or as your ass of a dad puts it - ""Urahara Boy..." "Yeah!" Without a visible movement, Kenji threw a small rock at Seto that hit him in the side of the head. "Fuck!" "Yup!" Kenji laughed and hopped down from the boulder. He extended a hand to Ide who was trying hard not to laugh at Seto. "Your dad is a pussy and is handing your training off to me for some reason...And, since I'm an Urahara through and through...I'm so sorry." A look of fear washed over the boy's face as he tried to pull his hand away. But, Kenji wouldn't let go.

Ide tried hard to pull his hand away. But, the man wouldn't let go. "Seto..."
Seto rubbed the side of his head. "You're an ass, Kenji." He was being dramatic about being hit with the tiny rock and now Ide was whining about something. Seto turned to find Kenji holding onto Ide's wrist. "Kenji let him go, come on."
"I've got him by the wrist." laughed Kenji. "He's alright." Kenji shrugged and let the kid go. "Alright listen. You're dad's put your training in my hands."
"You said that." Ide backed away from the man.
"He said that you had been trained with Methuselah. So, let's see what you've brought with you."
Ide nodded and pulled out a small silver tube. It looked like a handle. He tightened his hand around the tube and light shot out bother ends.
"A Quincy bow?!" Kenji stroked his chin. "Kaya is a Quincy, Seto?!"
Ide shook his head. "No. My mom's not a Quincy. So, that means I'm not either. But, I think Imai-san created these so that people would think that I am. They're not real Quincy tools. Just...Good enough to fool someone...I helped design this one. We call it Henka...Changing...Like Imai's bow..."

Seto sighed and turned toward his son. "Ide..."
"I don't want to hear it." Ide didn't look in Seto's direction. "He was more of a father to me than you...And now, all I am left with is you..."
"Mind how you talk to me!" growled Seto.
"Or what?! Are you going to punch me again?!"
"Ok..." Kenji stepped between the two grey haired hot heads. "That was awkward...So...Let's make it worse." Kenji held up a fist. "This is my version of my dad's Gokon Tekko." He brought his fist to his chest and pointed to the silver ring on his middle finger of his left hand. There was the same flame and skull emblem his father wore.
"Kenji?!" There was concern in Seto's voice.
"Now...I know your dad's punch probably felt like a pillow to the face...This will not feel like that."
"Kenji!"
"In fact, it'll either kill you...Or I will literally punch the soul out of your body..."
"Kenji!!"
"Here goes!" Kenji drew back a fist.
Seto grabbed Kenji's arm. "You are not hitting my son..."

Kenji looked at Seto. He could sense something off about him. He shunpo'd toward the boy, pulling his arm away from Seto with ease. Kenji narrowed his eyes at Seto. "What's wrong with you?" he questioned as he turned toward Ide. His punch landed in the middle of the boy's chest. Blue strikes of lightening filled the tiny space around them as Kenji separated the boy's soul from his body. Ide fell to the ground screaming and clutching at the black and white Shinigami uniform he now wore.
"What did you do?!" screamed Ide. "What did you do?!"
"You're alright." said Seto. "Calm down. Calm down."
"I knocked your soul out of your body. So now, you're all Soul Reaper...More or less." Kenji shrugged as he turned to face Seto. The grumpy dad was picking up Ide's body. "He'll keep your body safe." He walked over to the boulder he was sitting on and grabbed the blade leaning against the rock. "This is an asauchi. It's basically...A baby zanpakuto."
"It looks like a regular sword." said Ide. He sat up and dusted himself off.
"Yeah...You've got to learn its name to use its power. And-" Kenji's eyes grew wide as he felt a surge of power. First, Chinmoku, which caused him to turn and face Seto. But, the man appeared just as confused as he was. And, his zanpakuto was still sheathed. Then, the surge of power no longer felt like Chinmoku...Well, less like it. "Did you feel that?"
"Feel what?" asked Ide.
"Yeah, I felt it." mumbled Seto. "What was that?"
"I don't know!" Kenji shook his head. "It was your power."

Seto shook his head. But Urahara Boy was right. That was Chinmoku. But it couldn't have been...Seto looked down at his blade. It was sheathed...And, it was not just the appearance of the sheath. He had truly recalled his power instead of pretending he had. Besides, it had become hard for him to maintain his power for too long. Chinmoku had largely begun ignoring him. And, was making it hard for him to do any more than call on his shikai.
He looked his son over. A small sense of pride washed over him as he looked at the boy donning a Shinigami uniform. He looked strong...And scared. He smiled. "Methuselah would be proud..." he whispered.
Again, there was a surge of power. This time, it was only a little bit familiar. "Kenji, what is this?! Is...Is...Is...Is this his power?!"
"It shouldn't be." said Kenji. "And, it can't be. This...This feels like your power, Seto!"
Seto waved a hand and pointed to his son. "Why did you give him two asauchi?"

Kenji tilted his head to the side before turning back toward the boy. He was standing there, the asaushi in his right hand. Another blade - short with a black sheath and hilt with a gold crescent moon and sun - hovered above the ground in front of him. The boy was transfixed on the blade. His lips were moving as if he were talking to it. Kenji crouched down and watched.
"What are you doing, Kenji?! Help him!"
"He's not in danger..." Kenji shook his head. He waved Seto over. "He's talking to it...Just...Just watch..."
Seto crouched beside Kenji and watched. He watched as the boy reached for the zanpakuto and took it from the air. He gentle set the asauchi to the boulders beside him and took the zanpakuto in both hands.
Kenji stood up and shoved his hands deep in his pockets. "Well...Isn't this interesting?" He then brought a hand to his chin in a way only an Urahara can. "But that would mean..." he mumbled. "Well that's....That's...Interesting...And,...Holy cow!" Kenji turned toward Seto.
"What?!" asked Seto. He looked at Kenji. "What?" He looked to his son then back at Kenji.
"Call on Chinmoku."
Seto took a deep breath and sighed. "I can't."
"What do you mean you can't? You're in the training ground built by Kisuke Urahara. Plus my dad's upstairs. And he's not going to let you blow a hole in another realm."

"It's not that..." said Seto. "I don't even think that I could unleash my Bankai at this point." he admitted.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, a few days ago Chinmoku stopped listening to me."
"After you punched me?" asked Ide as he walked over to his father and the man.
Seto nodded. "Yeah...After that, he's just been ignoring me or not fully there...I don't know how to describe it."
Kenji stroked his chin. "You've been out of sync with your zanpakuto before. Maybe-"
"This isn't that...I know what that feels like. This...This fucking feels like I'm trying to hold onto something with no hands...I don't get it. I don't know what it is."
"Maybe you should talk to Dad about it."
"What the fuck does talking to your dad expected to do, huh?! You want to see for yourself? Look! See!" Seto attempted to unsheathe his blade. But, it would not budge. He pulledand pulled. And still it would not free itself from it sheathe. "See?! Do you see? My zanpakuto does not answer my call anymore..."

Ide watched as his father fell to his knees and cried. His father kept trying to pull his sword free but couldn't. "Is it...Is that bad thing? That it's not listening to him?"
Kenji nodded. "You'll that the connection between zanpakuto and wielder is important...It's necessary. Vital. When a Soul Reaper loses their connection with the spirit of their zanpakuto its a really really bad thing..."
"Like how bad?" he asked, clutching his blade to his chest.
"Bad like we're nothing without it..." Kenji shook his head. "It's like losing your heart. You speak with your zanpakuto. Learn it's name, what it's like, what it wants...It's a whole other being that you have to get to know and love and grow with..."
"So..." Ide looked at his father again. He felt sorry for him. "It's important."
"Very. And, if your dad's lost his connection then...It's bad, Ide..."
Ide still didn't fully understand. But, he could see his father's pain. "Is that something you'll teach me?" He looked to his father for the answer. "Maybe you can get yours back..."
Seto looked at his son with tears in his eyes. "I'll try..."
"So..." Ide looked at Kenji. "How...How do I get back in my body?"

"Oh!" Kenji hopped to his feet and walked over to the lifeless body of Ide. He knelt down and grabbed his arm and shook it a little. "I guess that's important to know, huh. We should figure that out...""What?!" shouted Ide. "You don't know?! How don't you know?!" Kenji laughed as the boy began to panic. "Simmer down, kid. You Tetsuyas can't take a joke.""I'm not a Tetsuya! And, put me back!" Kenji lifted the boy's boy and slif him over his shoulder. "Ah right...You're Hasegawa. Your mom's maiden name. Your mom the therapist right?"
"PUT ME BACK!" "Fine!" Kenji threw the boy's limp body at him and knocking him to the ground. The boy's body fell on top of him. "You don't have to yell...See...There...You're back..."Ide gave a thumbs up from the ground. Kenji began mocking the boy as he walked toward the stairs of the training ground. "eh...put me back..." He waved his arms around. "put me back..." Kenji turned around at pointed aggressively at Seto and his son. "Hey! I'm pretty sure we're done for the day. Drag your weepy ass up the steps before my dad comes down here and makes fun of you!"END RP "Forge"

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: The ChaosEpisode 520 "Forge": (continued) The air was cooler down below, the dim lighting casting shadows over the rocky terrain and craggy outcroppings, perfect for hiding something as small and vital as the arrowhead.
Vacanze chose a spot deep within the field, nestling the arrowhead in a crevice between two rocks. He took a moment to survey the area, making sure the concealment was subtle yet challenging enough. Satisfied, he straightened up, dusting off his hands, and headed back up.Moved

"Forge": (continued) Gin used shunpo to get to the underground, arriving with his hand on his zanpakuto. He scanned to quiet landscape, his chilling smirk fading to a more enigmatic one as the air blew around him from the false wind. Removing his hand from his partner, Gin started walking. Waiting. Listening. Letting his mind fill in the quiet with memories around that wish.

Vacanze followed Gin the silver-haired reaper into the underground field. He didn’t move from his spot, arms crossed as he leaned back on a large bolder, watching with quiet curiosity. There was no need for him to interfere—this part was all on Gin now.
He knew the difficulty of what lay ahead for the reaper. It wasn’t about brute strength or speed; it was about intuition, focus, and tapping into that inner voice that often got drowned out by the chaos of battle or emotion. Gin’s sharp mind would serve him well here, but Vacanze had seen enough to know that it wasn’t just skill that would find the arrowhead—it was conviction.
Vacanze remained still, silently observing, his eyes following Gin’s figure as he moved through the underground. The way Gin released his grip on his zanpakutō and allowed his thoughts to guide him, filling the silence with memories, told Vacanze that Gin was doing exactly what needed to be done.
It was now only a matter of time.

Gin wandered through the underground, resisting the urge to tear through a few boulders as usual. That kind of violent instinct wouldn't help him now -- not unless he gave up the search for the arrowhead and admitted a temporary setback. Gin shook his head with a muttered curse at himself. It was too soon to think about restarting. That would get him nowhere. He disappeared from his current location and reappeared on top of a boulder miles away from the entrance. Away from the entrance and Vacanze, away from distractions from his current goal.
He crouched down and took inventory of the land around him, eyes narrowed as considered Vacanze's expression while searching for Kita days ago. When they'd pursued across miles of Karakura following the pinprick of instinct in his heart.
When Gin had placed his hopes on her being at the other end to be able to return a smile to her face.
He blinked as something brushed against his senses and stood up again.
Where had it come from?

Vacanze watched silently from his place near the entrance, his thoughts lingering on the soul reaper’s progress—or lack of it. Gin was strong, sharp, and cunning, but the way he approached everything with calculated precision would only get him so far. Instinct, not reason, was what would guide him to success here. Vacanze knew that.
He shifted slightly, eyes following the faint trace of Gin’s movement across the underground landscape. The boulder miles away caught his attention as Gin reappeared there, crouching, scanning the area. Vacanze could see the tension in Gin’s posture, the weight of thought pressing down on him, just as it always had.
He’s too close to giving in again, Vacanze thought, shaking his head. It wasn’t the violent instinct Gin was holding back that was the issue—it was the fact that he was still searching for answers in his mind, still trying to rationalize a situation that demanded something deeper.
The arrowhead was hidden well, but it wasn’t hidden from Gin’s senses. If only he could stop thinking, stop trying to figure it out, and just let himself feel.
Vacanze leaned back slightly, watching the faint flicker in Gin’s energy as the soul reaper stood up again, his focus seemingly pulled by something. There, Vacanze thought. Now, follow it. It was the first glimmer of true instinct from Gin, the first sign that he might be close to breaking free of the mental cage that held him.
The ayakashi waited, his patience steady, but his mind still questioned: Would Gin ever fully break free? Or would he always be held back by his need to control, to predict?
It was all on him now.
