As Kisuke nodded, Yumiko moved over to the nearest chair, feeling sick to her stomach. Her fear was getting to her, despite her best efforts. So far, nearly all examinations had led to more lies or pain. Even if she trusted the shopkeeper, she couldn't stop this lapse of control, which made it all the more terrible. A couple tears escaped her eyes as she sat there, calming down.
Taking a deep breath as she felt her head clear, Yumiko looked back at Kisuke. "Can I ask what happened and what must be done to reverse it?" she asked.

Kita pushed her personal feelings and thoughts aside and stood walking over to Yumiko. She needed her, she needed a friend. She walked over and keeled down beside Yumiko taking her hand as she slid her hood off her head. She smiled brightly making eye contact with Yumiko. She held it gently but firmly in her own.
"I am here and you have nothing to fear from Kisuke. He may be a little unorthodox, but you could not ask for a better person to be helping you when it comes to this stuff."
Yumiko gave her a half smile and nodded slowly.
"I am here. Like I said I would always be. That's not a lie." Her eyes moistened as she gave her hand a tight squeeze.

Yumiko nodded more strongly and turned her hand over to hold it tightly, closing her eyes again to let another couple tears free. She took a slow, deep breath and opened her eyes, determination shining there again.
She smiled at her closest friend in all of this and then turned to Kisuke. “I’m ready,” she murmured, low voice steady.
Behind her, Shunsui chuckled. “Looks like we were replaced by another female, old friend,” he joked, tipping his hat. “How does that make you feel?”
Kita and Yumiko giggled quietly, and Yumiko held tight to her friend’s hand.

Kisuke smiled and looked from Kita to Yumiko. "Heart broken." Kisuke said picking fun as he placed his hand over his heart like it was wounded. The two men chuckled and smiled at the ladies. Looking at Yumiko he told her.
"That pink haired freak placed filters behind your retinas. It's an easy fix, but it will bite a little." He looked back to Kyoraku. "I would have to guess it was to block her from reflecting a certain someones powers." His eyes drifted to Yumiko. "The sad part is it also blocks other things from you seeing them or reflecting them. Have you been having trouble with certain reflections or tasks in your training?"

Yumiko frowned and looked down, wondering. “Bakudo is more difficult to bend with Sazanami, one of Mizue’s abilities, than Hado creations, but I thought that was because they appeared more solid,” she murmured. “And….” she fell silent then looked up, “I was attacked on my first week there by some female arrancars, but I reflected some of their attack back at them. I haven’t been able to do that since. I thought it was because my fear pulled it out of my sword. I scorched my hands.”

Kisuke rubbed his chin in thought. "I wonder--" He shook his head. "We don't have time for that." He looked to Kyoraku once more. "I need you to hold her head in place. Do not let her move her head." Kisuke stressed. Kyoraku nodded.
"Kita." He looked to her as she kneeled beside Yumiko. "Keep Yumiko's hands in place."
"Got it." Kita told him as she looked to Yumiko and smiled taking her other hand.
He then looked to Yumiko and smiled warmly and reassuringly. "Like I said," he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small dropper looking bottle. "This is going to bite a little. You must not move your head at all. I will let you rest before I do the second one."
Kita looked at him with a concerned look in her eyes. "Kisuke? What happens if she does move?"
He looked to Kita with a sigh. "I could miss the filter lens and the Kido will not disintegrate it properly. I could blind her."
Kita looked back to Yumiko quickly as the two girls grip tightened on the others hands.
"That's why I stressed that you must be very still." Kisuke repeated.

Yumiko nodded. She took a breath to clear the desire to run from her mind. “I understand,” she said quietly. She looked down at Kita, closed her eyes, burying all her worry, betrayal, hurt, and fear. She didn’t lesson her grip on Kita’s hands and kept breathing. “Don’t let go,” she murmured to Kita. Kita smiled. “Don’t worry. I won’t.”
Yumiko looked back at Kisuke. “Do it.”

Shunsui patted her head before spread his hands out on her head and steeling his own grip. "I will let go when the first one is done," he said quietly. "Keep breathing." Yumiko couldn't nod now but her grip on Kita turned white. Shunsui nodded silently to the shopkeeper.
It was now or never.

Lifting the small bottle over her head Kisuke opened her left eye wide and placed two drops in her eye. "This will moisten the eyes more so the Kido will not burn the eye." Dropping the bottle in his pocket Kisuke lifted his now free hand above her eye. Looking deep into that eye he located the lens placed his finger close to her eye, a soft blue stream of Kido strung out from the tip into her eye. Yumiko's body tensed and she took a gasping breath with the sting the Kido caused, but she did not move.
"Got it!" Kisuke pulled back quickly as Kyoraku released her head.
Kita's hands loosened as she looked to Yumiko and smiled. "You ok?"
"Don't rub your eye right now. It is sensitive. Here." He handed her the small bottle and grabbed a tissue from the small table next the them. "Put a couple of drops in the eye. Dab. Don't rub."

With shaking hands, Yumiko did as instructed, nodding weakly to Kita. She placed a couple drops in her eyes, Kisuke helping steady her hand and then lowered her head, letting it drip and dabbing it with a handkerchief from Kyoraku. Kita took the handkerchief away before too long. Yumiko leaned back against the chair, blinking to clear her eye out, and sat up again. “Please finish it,” she said, voice quavering. Kisuke adjusted his hat. “Are you sure? That wasn’t a long break.”
“I know,” she said, voice a little stronger, blue violet eyes solemn as she looked at him. It had to be done now before her emotions swamped her again.

He took the bottle for Yumiko and looked at the others. "You heard the lady."
The others resumed their positions holding her still once more. Kisuke then repeated the procedure to her right eye. Quickly they all released her again as Kisuke handed the bottle once more. Kita then quickly stood.
"Are you alright, Kita?" Kisuke asked her.

"Mhm..." Kita nodded with a bright smile. "I have an idea." She walked around behind Yumiko as Kyoraku stepped out of the way for her. "Yumiko. Lay your head back against the chair."
Yumiko turned slightly and looked at her.
"It's alright. I am going to remove the sting and pain that came with this. I am going to heal your eyes." Kita told her.
Yumiko laid her head back as Kita covered her eyes with her hands. After a few seconds Kita removed her hands resting them to the back of the chair next to her head, looking down and over the top of Yumiko. Kita's smile was wider then before.
"Better?" She asked her.

Yumiko smiled in turn. “Yes, they feel great, no itchiness, sensitivity, heaviness, or-“ she halted as a tear ran down her face. “Well, I can still cry,” she grinned, springing out of the chair and throwing her arms around her friend. “Thank you, Kita. I feel a lot better,” she murmured. “I’m not even fighting being scared anymore.”

She returned Yumiko's hug and giggled softly. "I hope those are tears of joy you're crying." She hugged her tighter. "It's finally over for you. No more tears. Okay?"
They pulled back from the hug and smiled at one another. Then looked between Kisuke and Kyoraku. Kita blushing when Kyoraku winked at her.
"Well I am ready to go." Kita said in a rushed manor, a touch of embarrassment in her voice.

Shunsui laughed and clapped his friend on the back. "Good work, Kisuke. You raised a wonderful girl. I haven't seen Yumiko smile like that for a LONG time." He turned to the girls, opening his arms, making the girls giggle again, and then pouted. "Now I guess I better surrender these beauties to the mercy of your little terror." He tipped his hat upwards. "Take care of them, old friend."
