"Time Moves Forward": (continued)
“Kurosaki?” She mumbled.
“Karin Kurosaki!”
Karin shot up in her seat. Her teacher eyed her over her spectacles. "Since you know the material so well that you can sleep through it, will you demonstrate today’s problem for the class?”
Karin sighed. “Yes, ma’am.”
She trudged up to the chalkboard. She didn’t have a choice. She had fallen asleep, after all. And maybe if she could answer it correctly, her teacher would forgive her lapse of attention. She glanced up at problem, and then grinned. She did know it! She started writing the figures out, using her calculator.
Her mind wandered to the reason she was actually ahead in her studies recently. Because of training. Homura, the testy cat in which her zanpakuto’s powers resided, was taking up more and more of her time, and when she did push school, added pressure to each subject learned. As a result. Karin was learning her harder subjects quicker.
Her head bonked against the board once. She shook her head, erasing the mark she’d made, and focused. At least the clever shopkeeper had devised a healing cream for her burns before Orihime had vanished. … As the teacher dismissed her with a stern warning, she looked outside the window. Ichigo was moping, and she knew why. Orihime had disappeared, and whether it was because she had got into a college beyond their town and she had decided to leave quietly, or she was kidnapped by Aizen’s Espada, he blamed himself for missing her departure.
It made dinner at home a dreary affair.
Karin clenched her hand. She was not going to fall asleep again. If Orihime had been kidnapped, she was going to kick the Espadas' asses so hard. She sighed. Saying things like that didn’t help her brother’s mood. “Come on, Ichi-nii, it’s not your fault. Don’t you know you can’t be there for everyone at all times?”

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: Deep RenewalEpisode 364 "Breathe": Kinzo hunched over, fists clenched, as he somehow appeared to be at local high school. He clenched his jaw and growled. "Why are we here?!" Kinzo looked around, angrily slamming his fist into the red brick of the building. "Why? Why is Kinzo here? We were not here before. I have not been here for days." He punched the wall again. This time, fire flowed from his fist. It came out from between his fingers as if trying to escape his grasp. "No! This doesn't make sense. Kinzo, this is wrong! Why are we here?!" he screamed, drawing unwanted attention.
Students appeared as unsure of their surrounding as he was. They began to stare as Kinzo punched at the brick exterior. "What? You don't know why we're here again. Kinzo doesn't know either. And, I don't like it! Kinzo needs answers...Right now!""I know what happened..."Kinzo turned around quickly. But then his chest began to feel tight. And, he was unable to take a breath. He raised his hands but was unable to spark a flame. Kinzo scowled as he beat on his chest in attempt to draw a breath.

"Fire needs oxygen..." Koi stepped as close, erasing the distance between her and the manic Quincy gasping for air before her. She watched as he struggled for air. He was stubborn and determined to fight whatever she had done. "It's a lovely little skill," she held up her zanpakuto. "Striping the air from anyone or anything. Right now, there's a neat little airless bubble surrounding you. And, I could...Should, rip all the air from your lungs. But, that would be cruel."
Koi smiled as she leaned in and whispered in the boy's ear. "You killed my friend..."END RP "Trials by Fire"

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 469 "Where is Aizen Part IV: Young Blood - Fire vs. The Unknown": Whisper waltzed through Karakura with the confidence of a queen, her every step igniting a fiery trail that seemed to dance in her wake. The townsfolk watched in awe and fear as flames appeared out of nowhere the flames destination unmistakable: Karakura High School. Whisper knew that her mere presence would be enough to lure the resident Soul Reapers into the open. They would never allow an Espada to threaten their precious children—especially not the offspring of two of the most powerful figures in their realm: the Vessel and Ichimaru, and their Lord and Master, Aizen.
As Whisper approached the school, she couldn't help but wonder about Sojiro Ichimaru and Evita Aizen. When they were in Las Noches, their powers remained dormant, much to the frustration and curiosity of those around them. Was it was the adults' influence that kept the children's abilities in check? The enigmatic Ichimaru and the formidable Vessel surely had their reasons for keeping the children’s potential under wraps. Today, however, would be the day those young powers were put to the test.
Whisper imagined the moment when the children would be forced to awaken their latent abilities. Would they rise to the challenge, harnessing their inherited strengths to soar above their adversaries? Or would they falter, crashing to the ground under the weight of their untested potential? Either way, she relished the thought of pushing them out of their nest. The thrill of the unknown, the clash of power, and the chance to disrupt the delicate balance of this world drove her forward with relentless determination.
The high school loomed ahead, a battleground where destinies would collide and secrets would be revealed. Whisper's eyes gleamed with anticipation as she crossed the threshold, ready to set her plan into motion and watch the chaos unfold.

Sojiro clenched his hands on his knees as he sat at his desk by the window, although the class had slowed down after the first ‘quake’ had hit the town. Smoke in the distance put a stop to it altogether as his classmates stared outside and the teacher left the room. He wondered what reason they would get this time, partly wishing he could be so naive. But mostly, he hoped his family would be alright. He closed his eyes as another pillar of smoke appeared from a different direction than his father’s battle.
Could he really sit here and pretend for them with all this happening?
“Hey, Ichimaru, you look a little sick. Don’t worry. It happens a lot,” one of the boy’s said, coming over. He looked to another classmate. “Do you think it’s another gas leak?”
“Why is it always that side of town? Shouldn’t they have fixed the problem by now?”
The intercom’s chime echoed out and some of the hubbub around him died down. “There have been several small fires sighted in town around the school. Please be advised that the grounds have been closed and all students will remain indoors until the public area has been secured.”
“Damn, what a bummer. I wanted to try out the new arcade.”
“Maybe someone got out with Machioka Sensei’s chemicals.”
“Lucky them! I want an A in his class.”
“Idiot, that’s what they got if they caused a fire in class, not outside.”
Sojiro kept his head down, feeling out the energy around them. A flicker behind him caught his attention and he turned his head. The energy didn’t come from next door. Then, down below?
He stood quickly as all the pieces fell in place.
“Ichimaru?”
“Restroom. Stomach ache,” he muttered, heading out of the room, closing the door again behind him. His cerulean eyes narrowed as he looked outside, hand falling to the asauchi hidden from human eyes that always stayed tied to his waist.
Were they here for him?

Finally, the High School loomed before Whisper as she stood at the entrance, a predatory gleam in her eyes. Two familiar energy signatures surged toward her, and she scanned the front of the school just in time to see the young Ichimaru burst through the doors.
A wide grin spread across Whisper's face. "How sweet of you to come to me, Ichimaru Jr. It's been a long time since I’ve seen that cute baby face of yours." She vanished in a flash, reappearing directly in front of the boy.
"Why are you here?" Sojiro asked, leaning back from her sudden intrusion into his personal space. "Are you here for me?" His eyes locked onto her fiery blue ones.
Whisper edged closer, her voice dropping to a soft, provocative whisper. "Do you want me to be?" she questioned, her grin widening even more.
Sojiro shook his head, "No," he replied, his voice barely a whisper, "but I don't want you to hurt others here either."
Whisper chuckled, one hand resting on her hip as she pulled back to give the boy some space. Her free hand came up and patted his shoulder. "Don't be so nervous, Junior. I'm not here to hurt you." A smirk formed on her lips. "As long as you can defend yourself, that is." She glanced around the area. "Where is that cousin of yours? I figured she’d be out here by now." She started to laugh and looked back at Sojiro. "Aww," she said, taking hold of Sojiro's chin between her index finger and thumb, shaking his head slightly. "She doesn’t care about you." Her hand then moved to his cheek, patting it a little rougher. "A true Aizen in the making."
Sojiro's eyes narrowed, a flicker of determination crossing his face. "Evita doesn't have to prove herself to you," he said, his voice stronger. "It proves nothing if she stays away."
Whisper's laugh was light and mocking. "We'll see about that, Junior. We'll see."

Sojiro wrenched his head free and took a step back, hand returning to his asauchi. “There are others here that could be hurt. Can’t you go somewhere where people can defend themselves?”
Whisper grinned and snapped her fingers, flame appearing in her hand. “But your father’s getting thrown around by Nnoitra, and the cute substitute is playing with Grimmjow. A girl’s got to have some eye candy~” Sojiro rolled his eyes but tensed. “I’m not even an adult yet.” Daichi appeared on his shoulder, hissing. Some of his mounting apprehension faded with his weight on his shoulder.
Whisper huffed in annoyance at the sudden intrusion of the ferret, her eyes narrowing slightly. She shrugged with feigned indifference, turning around slowly while letting her gaze sweep across the courtyard. The tension in the air was palpable as she assessed her surroundings. "Perhaps," she began, her voice laced with a playful yet sinister edge, "if you manage to entertain me, we can avoid having anything here catch fire." Her eyes locked onto the ferret, a mischievous glint flickering in their depths. "And that includes you~" she added, the threat hanging in the air like smoke from a smoldering ember.
“And if I refuse?” Sojiro retorted.
The flame in the female Espada’s hand grew as did her smirk. “With or without Evita to help you, I’m still going to have some fun. I don’t accept boredom, Junior.”
Sojiro didn’t reply but removed one hand from his asauchi, energy forming in his now free hand, Daichi digging into his uniform. The hand on his asauchi tightened as his father’s voice echoed in his head.
“When you’re cornered, don’t allow them to see your fear. Your opponent can use that as a weapon.”
He couldn’t stay still for long.
She crooked her finger at him. “Come on, Junior. Don’t keep me waiting.”
“Bakudo No. 21: Sekieton.” Sojiro disppeared in a cloud of red smoke and sealed his energy, moving to another place.

Perched on the windowsill near the cafeteria, Evita munched on an apple as she watched the exchange from her hiding spot. Her eyes narrowed as the woman mentioned her and something inside her pinched at the sensitive place between her temples. Her eyes watered and her vision darkened. The air whispered around her, but it didn’t seem to be the stray thoughts of the others leaking into her mind. She glanced down, the threads around her wrist stirring.
Did she want to get involved?
She agreed with Soji. She didn’t have to do it to prove a point. But was there another reason to participate in this foolish game when Sojiro couldn’t beat her?

"I don't like to get involved either," a voice from above echoed. Starrk watched as the young Aizen looked up, her eyes widening in recognition. He lifted his hand from his pocket and gave her a slight wave, a lazy smile playing on his lips. Slowly, he began to descend toward her, his presence imposing yet strangely comforting.
"But if you don't help the Ichimaru kid," Starrk continued, his voice calm but carrying an underlying urgency, "Whisper will light this building up, and I don't think you want your fellow students getting hurt." He landed gracefully in front of her, his gaze steady and unwavering. "You might be an Aizen, but you're also human from your mother's side."
Evita clenched her fists, her mind racing. The weight of Starrk's words pressed down on her. She could feel the conflicting emotions bubbling up inside her—loyalty to her heritage and the undeniable compassion she felt for her human side.
Starrk’s eyes softened slightly as he watched her struggle, knowing the decision she faced was not an easy one.

Evita stared up at the Primera Espada, unable to move or refute his words when a blast shook the area. She stood up, the apple falling to the ground as her threads sprang to life from her wrists, her heart hammering. No, she hated this whole thing. She didn’t like watching this anymore than she had in the first place. It seemed ugly and wrong.
“I don’t care about them,” she denied as she jumped over the window ledge, running back inside.
“Hey, you can’t go outside,” a voice called out. Damn kids really need to listen to your elders at a time like this….
His inner voice caused Evita’s lips to curl up in a parody of a sneer. “No, you’re the one who will stay inside.” Her threads leapt out, wrapping around her gym teacher’s arms and swirling around his head. “There’s nothing to see there.”
It’s all clear here,” he uttered, toneless.
Evita nearly grinned before frowning as the sight of other teachers checking other places passed to her from the teacher. She blinked, trying to banish it, but her vision grew further and saw other images, classmates or younger kids sneaking out. Stark’s words echoed deeper in her head and the white space in her eyes shrunk. Her threads expanded out. Hungry for more.
No one is going outside, Evita ordered through the growing connection, half aware of her own actions.
She put a hand on the doorknob and stepped out as Whisper sent something at the red cloud, making her cousin stumble.
Evita tilted her head, some threads shifting into physical form around her. A portion hardened into something like two white horns on her forehead. “And you’re not burning this school.”

Starrk observed everything with a detached calmness, his eyes following Evita’s every move. As she stepped out and confronted Whisper, he sighed, shaking his head slightly. "Kids these days," he muttered under his breath.
He took a step forward, his demeanor unhurried but his presence commanding. "Evita," he called out, his voice carrying a subtle authority that demanded attention. "I know you think you can handle this on your own, but it's not just about you. It's about everyone here. If you fight alone, you risk everything your parents worked for."
His gaze shifted to Whisper, his expression hardening. "And you," he continued, addressing the Espada. "You’re treading dangerous ground. This isn't Las Noches, and you're not the only one with power here."
Starrk's eyes flickered back to Evita, a hint of sympathy in their depths. "You have potential, Evita, but you need to be smart. Use your strength wisely. Protect those who can't protect themselves." He glanced at Sojiro, who was regaining his footing. "Work together. It's what your parents would want."
He let his words hang in the air, hoping they would resonate. For all his reluctance to get involved, Starrk knew that sometimes, a guiding hand was necessary to steer the young ones in the right direction.

Whisper's eyes narrowed as she took in Starrk's words, a mix of confusion and suspicion crossing her face. "Starrk," she drawled, her voice laced with uncertainty. "I thought you were on our side. What's with the sudden concern for these kids and this school?"
She took a step closer, her fiery blue eyes locking onto his. "You're the Primera Espada, one of Aizen's most trusted. Yet here you are, lecturing me like you actually care about these human brats and their safety."
Whisper glanced back at Evita and Sojiro, then returned her gaze to Starrk. "Are you really going to stand in my way? Defend them instead of fighting alongside me?" She shook her head, disbelief evident in her expression. "I never pegged you for the sentimental type. So what's the game here, Starrk? Whose side are you really on?"
Her flames crackled with energy, the threat of violence lingering in the air as she awaited his response, her mind racing to make sense of his unexpected stance.

Sojiro didn’t wait for the Primera Espada to reply, shunpo’ing next to his cousin, eying her change. The darkened eyes and the horns with threads around her caused him to pause. “Are you okay?”
“You should worry about our opponent,” Evita whispered, still watching their surroundings. “But we’re not alone anymore.”
Sojiro spun around as another reiatsu bore down on him and Whisper and Stark disappeared from their positions. “Dad!” he cried out, grinning. He froze a moment later at the stern expression in his eyes, crimson like the dark patches all over him, even in his hair. He realized his father was even leaning to one side. His throat tightened. “Dad?”
“Get back inside, both of you,” Gin growled, eying Whisper nearby.
Sojiro broke out of his flashbacks and grabbed Evita’s arm. “Let’s go.”
“They’re locked,” she murmured.
“Then unlock them,” Sojiro retorted. “Dad said-”
He ducked, a shield of wavering spikes appearing in his hand as fiery debris struck in the place where his dad had stood. A tree started to topple their way. At this rate, it would fall into that window. He clenched his hands, willing time to slow. His head spun and Daichi chittered in his ear.

Evita cocked her head to the other side as her cousin protected her but listed to the side, clutching his head. But before she could focus on that, she sensed his attention to the tree. It froze for a moment before falling once more.
Her eyes narrowed as her threads wrapped around the physical threat. She winced at the weight pulling on her. “I don’t like pain,” she growled. She clenched her hands and wrenched the weight backwards., hissing as the muscles in her arms and legs screamed at her.
She fell against Sojiro as the tree swung towards Whisper instead.
