"Yes, I guess you could say that. I am sure you are aware of the danger Kita has placed herself in? Though, you may not since all their digressions have taken place in the Soul Society, and I am sure neither Tervaden or Kita has shared such information with you."
She stepped toward Gin looking him in the eyes, "The light Kita so deeply embedded in you still shins brightly." Her head shook, "This will not do." She lifted her hand as Gun grabbed her wrist before she could touch him. His eyes narrowed at her a burning question rested deep within them.
"Ask now. You may not remember after I have finished with you."

Gin’s eyes gleamed. “I know enough and I will get more of it out of her in time. But why the hell did you let it get this far with her?” His mind sharpened and his grip tightened. For a moment, he forgot who was in front of him. “You could have given her half of your power. You could have diluted the effect of Szayel’s mind probing. And you and your damned Soul King promised to protect Soji!”

"I am not allowed to interfere in the path my vessel chooses. I can only hope the path they choose does not lead to their death. You know the rules as well as I and those rules have been bent and drawn almost obsolete within the last decade. Now new rules have been added to the game since Aizen has a hand in this. My part is still the same. I cannot interfere unless it endangers my vessels life." Sumi sighed, "It has gotten to that point. You and Kita have switched roles." Her head shook, "Until your paths are set straight once more like they were when you first met. Kita's path will only grow darker. You are her darkness and she, your light. There can be no reversal of that. As long as Kita is on this path your light will only blind her. Pushing her further down a dark path."
Gin released her flinging her arm from him. " Damn it Sumi! That makes no sense. If our roles have switched, I should be able to pull her back like she did with me."
Sumi's head shook again. "Kita's heart will never completely fall to the darkness. Your light and the light that remains in her are opposing forces. She needs a balance and you can not offer that to her in the state of mind you are in. You will have to return to the man you were before you fell in love with her."

Silent, Gin stepped away, and then, his anger boiled over. “Never!” he spat. “I am not going to forget this past decade for you Gods that are always watching from afar and doing nothing.” He stepped forward. “It is the Gods’ prophecy that damned the worlds to Aizen’s rule. That gave form to Tervaden's shadow. That destroyed the peace I ripped my soul and body apart for. You tore her wounds that never healed. You - took me from my son.”
Suddenly, Gin disappeared and wrapped his hands around Sumi’s throat, his eyes livid and flaring with bloodlust. “You promised! And you lied! Centuries of blood, betrayal, and soul rending, centuries of distance, I chose to care for nothing. I existed between all of it. I didn't care! But you wouldn’t grant my one desire. No,” he sneered, “that was only after I had fallen as far I could. After my whole world shifted onto a new torturous axis! After a damned, wonderful…” He fell to his knees and grabbed at his head. “You take and take…."

Sumi touched the top of his head with a gentle hand. "Then shall I leave you to your own? I was not looking to take anything away. Only return what is yours. Though it is nothing I can do for you. You have to fight for it on your own."
"You lie..." he hissed. "I killed him... I freed her... You brought him back." He looked up, eyes narrowed to slits. "You said my child would be safe!"
"Not lies. Not broken promises. I have done everything within my power short of killing for my vessel and her family." Her hand lifted from the top of his head as she turned from him stepping across the cell. "Do you believe in fate, Ichimaru or are you one that believes in your path in life is what you deem it to be?"
Gin's sneer returned. "As if life is as simple as either of those."
She turned looking at Gin once more, "But it is. Look at your son..." She paused, "...look at your wife. Every move she has ever made has been by her choice." Her head titled slightly. "Well... as long as there was no outside influence of mind control like Aizen and Tervaden likes to provide."

"But, this world would never be had if not been for someone's influence." Vale stepped from the shadows of the room. "You know that, goddess of history." A smile formed at the corner of his lips. "You know all of history. But, you can not speak on the future. It is, as you say, unwritten. So, you try to write the future based on what you've seen in the past. The past has a nasty habit of repeating itself, doesn't it?" Vale's smile turned grim as his eyes glowed fire.
"Why would you return to him, Tervaden?" ask Sumi.
"He didn't have a choice." replied Vale. "And, you know why." Vale grabbed the back of Ichimaru's kimono and yanked him away from the goddess. He threw him into the bars, head first. "Centuries ago, Alister saw fit to redirect my path. He didn't see it as interfering. As you don't with Kita. So long as your vessel is on a path that does not threaten you, all is well. You're not interfering. You're directing. Which is the same fucking thing, in this case!"
Vale stepped toward Ichimaru, dropping his foot on the man's face. "A balancing act of dark and light, this is Kita's path. And, it remains as such even with this reversal of roles. It is just not the direction you would like it to go. Leave it be, goddess. You gods should know by now, the consequences of directing."
"The Soul King will come!" grunted Ichimaru from beneath Vale's foot.
Looking down before turning his attention back toward the goddes, Vale narrowed his eyes. "The Soul King knew he was wrong for rising from his seat, those many years ago. Sumi's life would not end with Kita. She is the goddess of history. And, so long as there is time, she will exist. If not in Kita, then someone else. Why he would come down to protect her for a brief moment in an immortal life, I do not know. Why he would chose to bless a child because he was birthed through the vessel, I do not know. She's a container. You don't bless the cup just because it came with the bowl."
"You want Kita out of danger, yet you keep placing her in it. You keep placing her family in it! Everyone's opinion is based on perception. And, so Kita's perception falls in line with yours, you gave her your opinion on a path she has chosen. Now, you take it from her."
Vale snapped his fingers, as Ichimaru disappeared from the cell in an eruption of flame. He pointed to the goddess as he stepped into an opening gate. "Do not direct, goddess. Do not interfere. A seraph is to remain silent in her vessel. Or, have you forgotten the rules?" Vale grinned as he disappeared into the gate and it closed.

Sumi's eyes narrowed as Vale disappeared from the cell with Gin. "If you think disappearing with Ichimaru will stop me from what I have set out to do you're as insane as the God of Fire." Sumi snapped her fingers. In doing so, Gin's personality was changed back to a time before his love for Kita, a time before his son Sojiro. A time before Vale Tervaden. Erasing his embedded love for Kita.
She then turned phasing through the bars. "Two can play this game, Tervaden. Lets see how well you fair with your Master once I have stripped the beloved Kita of my powers and returned her to her normal human self. You want me to play by the rules, Tervaden? Then so be it."
Sumi snapped her fingers again with a smirk wide across her face. "Good luck to the four of you." Sumi disappeared from the cell.

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 444 "To Live or Die": Even though she knew where she was going, Kisuke still escorted KIta to the cell where Aizen was being held. Entering the area, Aizen was still in a critical way--and Sada's poison was working just as it should--he was in a cold sweat and his body was jerking wildly, his head tossing side to side. Whatever he was hallucinating over it had him scared and on the run.
Kita could not help a wicked grin as she watched the man on the bed suffer. "Do I have to heal him right now?" She looked to Kisuke who was standing next to her. "Kita," Kisuke replied with distaste in her words. Her eyes narrowed at Kisuke's tone as she looked back at Aizen, "Think what you want, but you know he deserves everything happening to him. Even if it is," she slowly looked back at Kisuke, "a hallucination," a tear rolled down her cheek. "Let him suffer a little of what everyone else has. It will never come close to repayment, but it's a start."

Kisuke sighed as he watched the tear fall from her chin and christen the prison floor. She has suffered so much, too much for it not to be her war. His hand went firmly to her shoulder. "I know he has hurt you. No," Kisuke's head shook. "we all have hurt you--in one way or another. None of us are guilt-free in this war or any other we have fought."
He took her shoulders and turned her to look at him. "No one stopped to think or even remember that you were only a kid, and human on top of it all. I should have done more to protect you." Kisuke sighed, his head dropping. "To protect Kenji. I failed everyone." He looked up into her tearful eyes once more. "So much so that I had to send Ichimaru to Las Noches to protect you. The one place he should have never returned. It not only made things worse for you, but it did not help him."
Another sigh slipped from between his lips, "Ichimaru has changed you--"
Kita's eyes narrowed as she blurted out, cutting Kisuke off. "Las Noch--"
"No," Kisuke locked eyes with her a hard stare that could have burned through her. "Ichimaru changed you. He conditioned you, trained you, taught you how to survive in that Hell." Kisuke paused. "He made you and the only person you will submit to is him. He made sure of that."
He watched as another tear fell from her face to the floor.

Kita wiped away her tears shaking her head. "I know what Gin has done to me. I know he molded me into the person I am now, but if he hadn't we both would be dead right now. Gin could not carry me and protect us both."
She fell silent, "Gin was trying to fulfill the promise he made to you." She looked Kisuke pointedly in the eyes. "The promise to protect me no matter what. Yes, bad things happened to me, but they happened to Gin as well. Neither of us was exempt from Aizen's wrath."
She sighed and cast her eyes to Aizen lying on the cot, more tears falling as she thought about the night Aizen came into their room and attacked them both, having his way as he pleased. A night that haunts her whenever she closes her eyes or sees the scar on Gin's forehead. "The things he did. Haunting things. Things to make us bow. Things to rip us apart from the inside out." Her hand lifted as she wiped away a falling tear. "Gin was the only one there for me and I was the only one there for him. So many times we had to pull one or the other back on their feet. Healing was not just a physical thing for us. We had to mentally heal one another as well. We were one another's rock, one another's anchor. So if I submit to Gin, he deserves every bit of my undying attention and love. He did what he promised me. He brought me home. He got me out of that Hell called Las Noches, and he deserves more than what any of you will ever give to him."
She looked back at me, a hateful look in her red and swollen eyes from crying, but if I looked deep enough I could see the sweet, warm-hearted girl that was sent off to fight a war that was not hers. She was in there, but her mental and physical anguish was so deep that the girl she once was, was trapped deep inside. She was hurting so badly and no one understood her pain--mentally or physically--no one but the man who was being blamed for her change, and here, she was standing in front of the man who caused all of that torment, and was being made to heal him for the sake of the greater good. "Kita..."
Her head shook as she looked on at Kisuke. "Go make your call to Kyoraku-sama. I will heal Aizen and then I am leaving. Get your answers, but I warn you. If he runs free after you get them." She paused and looked at Aizen once more. "I will kill him when he is found again. Gin willing or not."

Kisuke sighed adjusting his hat, and watched as Kita walked over to the cot Aizen was occupying. She sat on the edge of said cot and started purifying the man's blood. He said nothing only shook his head and watched.
After a few minutes, Kisuke turned lifting his soul phone from his pocket, and called none other than Kyoraku. He stepped out of the cell but remained in the area of the cells. He was not sure if it was for Kita's safety or Aizen's. Whatever the reason, he stayed close to both of them as he listened and waited for Kyoraku to answer his phone.
Hello, old friend, is our nemesis awake?
"Not yet," Kisuke looked over his shoulder at Kita, "but she is healing him. She is not pleased about it, but she is doing it." Kisuke sighed. "Kyoraku, we need to make damn sure Aizen is not going to get free of his confines this time around."

The commander lowered his hat over his eyes. “It is supposed to be near impossible to break out of the Muken unless without the specific keys and Aizen had eight seals on him in addition to the usual sealing. And yet, he managed to do so in a way I still don’t fully comprehend, but that’s a moot point. I haven’t found answers to that escape since the last two wars. I’m not going to find it now.
What is your proposal to keep him locked away this time? The Forever Seal? Anything we do here will be a risk. I hate to say it, but that is the reality of the situation. You and I both know it. Anyone with any snuff in this war knows it. It’s who that man is, even if he is drooling in pain right now.”

"My idea is to keep him under constant surveillance. In the Muken he is left to himself, and he doesn't need that reflecting time. I'll see what I can whip up to seal his powers and for someone strong enough to be his guard. I have Mod Souls that will suit that position, even if I have to amp them up some." Kisuke looked Aizen's way and continued.
"I think we need to put him in the lower level of the Maggots Nest." He sighed heavily, "No matter where or what we do with him it has to be a sure thing. Because if he finds his freedom again a certain vessel has already threatened to kill him."

“Interesting,” the commander murmured. “It’s been a while since I’ve been in those cells but I don’t remember them being completely isolated. So unless that can change, I’m not sure about putting him there. No, I think it’s better to say it won’t happen unless he can be separated from everyone. I don’t want him whispering in anyone’s ear again.”
He paused. “As for the Mod Soul, will his loyalty be infallible? With or without his powers, Aizen is one of the most intelligent people in any of the three realms."
"The cells are not completely isolated, but it would not be hard to make one that way. As for the MOD Soul being infallible, it would be a simple tweak to make that happen." Kisuke exhaled his eyes drifting back to Kita and Aizen. "I believe we can make this happen, Kyoraku. We have to."
The commander released a long sigh. "I agree with you, Urahara. Since you told me last night that he was coming here, I've been trying to figure out how to end this permanently. Him, the Hogyoku, our influence organizing the natural chaos of Hueco Mundo even. The fact of the matter is that the Soul Society, the Gotei, failed to hold Aizen using our methods. We will try this route; however, at the first signs of weakness, we change it to something else. We don't wait. This is long overdue."
He fell silent for a few moments. "Will your family, your son, be against you maintaining this? This is your Mod Soul. You should be in charge of keeping it sharp. The less knowledge we spread around, the more of a chance we have that this will be the final resting place we desire."

"I don't think that will be an issue. They want Aizen locked away as badly as the rest of us and with Tsukiro and Kairo--nothing against Soi Fong--running the 2nd division now. They will keep as close of an eye on Aizen as I will." Kisuke reassured Kyoraku.
"Well then, we're planning this by the seat of our pants. That's not a good start. What do you need from us to get this done and can it be done swiftly? or will we need an interim plan?"
"It will need to be put into action and done as quickly as possible. Until then Aizen will remain here in my cell with Kita's shield containing him. That's the only shield he won't be able to break through." Kisuke looked at Kita once more. "If push comes to shove, she might be willing to do the same when we move him to the Maggots Nest."
"Temporarily, that's a good measure, but she won't live her life if she is put in charge for long. She'll sneak off in the night and visit him like she did the first time."
Kisuke fell dead silent for several minutes as he looked over at Kita with a confused look. "And this happened when?"
