The Captain Commander hummed in agreement and sipped more sake, falling silent. Soul reapers were the hollows' opposites, another example of contradiction ruling the Realms. But then again, a soul reaper ruled Hueco Mundo with a stronger hold than any Vastro Lorde hungering for power before him. Humans were at the mercy of both the soul reapers and the hollows and yet, these greater forces were created in their likeness. He looked in his sake saucer. Alcohol could soothe a person's pain but it could also be the worst drug.

Nori looked to the commander and shrugged. "Just something to ponder."
Her head then quickly turned scanning the area. She felt a presence surround them. It was calming and warm, not not like what they would normally feel from an Espada, Aizen or Gin. However, it was still an intruder. Even the commander noticed it, though he was deep in thought.
"We have company." Nori announced softly.
The commander nodded as the two kept a close eye on what was going on around them.

Not completely materializing Sumi stood before the commander and the captain. She nodded slightly to them both before she could be fully seen by them.
"It seems I have caught you at a bad time, Commander Kyoraku." Sumi told him as he look at her in bewilderment.
"Forgive my rudeness. I am Sumi, the Seraph that harbors the young womans body you kept safe here at the Gotei 13."

"The Seraph's Judgement":
Shunsui chuckled and sighed. "And here I thought I was too old to be fooled by others," he murmured. He turned to Nori. "Go enjoy the party, Nori-chan," he stated, gently dismissing her company. Nori nodded and leaving the sake, walked away. The commander turned back to his 'visitor.' "Forgive me, but I thought you couldn't leave your vessel's body. Is that not the truth?"

Sumi smiled. "While my vessel sleeps I can have what you all call 'out of body experiences'." She stepped forward as the commander motioned for her to join him. She took a seat across from him and looked into his eyes.
"I am here to gather and convey any information you might think helpful in what I have marked out for my vessel in her endeavors."

Shunsui set his sake aside, eyes slightly narrowed in seriousness. "Since I have not seen or heard of Aizen attacking Karakura Town, I am guessing that Ichimaru revealed that he couldn't use the Hougyoku to bring you to his command. What now then is Kita's role in his war?"

Sumi nodded. "Good, so you have been informed of that piece of information." She looked around them and spoke. "You are a strong man Commander and what I am about to tell you could make even a man of your likes, sick and weak. However, you need to know the level Aizen has advanced to, to get what he wants." She looked back to the commander and started her story from Ichimaru and Kita's return to Las Noches.
She left nothing out, covering all the details. When she was finished, the commander had finished the container of sake Nori brought him and was pouring the last saucer of his.
"If I do not comply to Aizen's threats and let Kita gain control of my powers this will only grow worse." She looked the distraught commander in the eyes. "So I have decided to let Kita gain control of them."

Shunsui sighed and lowered his hat over his eyes. When the goddess had started her tale, he thought he would be prepared for what she would say. Of all the people I should not underestimate, he muttered to himself, a goddess is definitely on the top of the list. Ichimaru, he was sure, had gone through enough hellish experiments in the Rukongai poor districts, but Sousuke had not singled him out. The bastard had crafted the night so both Kita and the shrewd fox would suffer by making sure she was part of the 'events'.
Now, it's going to be even more difficult than the first war to tear Ichimaru from Aizen, and no one but Rangiku suspected there. And Kita.... I think I will keep this information to myself until I must share it. We can examine her scars then.
Draining the last saucer of sake and letting the alcohol ease away the majority of the nausea and disgust in his system, the commander looked back at the Seraph. "We're running out of time then," he stated. "How long do we have before she can open the gate for him?"

Sumi shook her head. "It will not make it that far. Aizen cannot and will not be allowed to enter the Godly realm. I will teach Kita everything she needs to know to make Aizen believe I am cooperating to the full extent." Sumi fell silent then spoke up again.
"However, a Seraph's powers, even being a God. Are limited, and they can never be used to kill. If Aizen ever becomes aware that what is being done is a farce." Sumi sighed lowering her eyes. "I don't think I need to elaborate on that one."

The commander sighed again. "What time do we have?" he asked.

"A little less than a year." Sumi told him. "For Aizen to believe Kita can control my powers and open the gate she has to control one thing without fail. The flow of time. And she had to control it in three realms at once."
She looked at the commander as his eyes widened from under his hat. "Not an easy feat, and with her being human. I doubt she will ever get to that level of power without it killing her first."

The commander groaned and rubbed his forehead, holding back a huge headache. He glared, half-heartedly, at the goddess. "You know," he grouched, "today was supposed to be a day of rest for us, and that includes me." She only offered him another of her enigmatic smiles.
He leaned back against the flowering tree, breathing in its scent. "If the quincies were still around, we of the Gotei 13 would only have half of the world on our shoulders..." he muttered, half to himself, then sat up, looking closely at her form again. "Any questions you have for us, lady?"

"I could have not came at all and left you in the dark." Sumi got an annoyed look in her eyes. "I already deal with one bullheaded man in protecting my vessel. Do I really need to deal with one that is ungrateful as well?" She stood to her feet and looked to the commander once more.
"I will warn you now, Commander. If you are attempting a rescue for either of the women in Las Noches... You will fail, and I will make sure of that. Aizen has to be stopped and your interference will not make this happen." She stepped away from him as her words trailed behind. "Leave it to the ones in Las Noches to bring themselves out alive."

The commander's reply was immediate. Standing up, he walked closer to her. "What do you mean we can't rescue either of them and you'll stop us? I can see you having control of Kita's unfortunate circumstances, but what does Yumiko have to do with your plan?" He hissed.
Realizing he was talking to a goddess and that he didn't want to attract the attention of his best friend, he sighed and took a step back. "I didn't mean to act ungrateful. I was attempting to add a joke to the hard subject you were giving me to digest."

Sumi did not turn to look at him as she spoke. "Commander, tell me how would one conquer an enemy they do not understand?"
When he did not reply right away Sumi turned and looked at him. "Did you not understand my question?"
The commander only looked at her. "Fine then. I will spell it out for you. The Gotei 13 has been fighting the same man for centuries. You have only been lucky enough to catch him once. In how many centuries? That's a bad track record, Commander. No one here even comes close to thinking like Sousuke Aizen. So don't you think you should leave the catching of and disposing of a man such as Aizen to a man that understands him and knows how he thinks?"
She tilted her head and looked at him a finger at the side of her chin. "What is that saying the humans use?..." She lifted her finger in notice. "Ah yes. 'Send a criminal to catch a criminal'. Leave Aizen to Ichimaru. With my help, he will defeat him." She lifted her head up and looked into his eyes again.
"Yumiko is safe. And in time she will return home to the ones that locked her away because they feared her." She paused and pondered for a brief second. "Sad, but I always believed it was only the humans that destroyed what they did not understand or could not control." She shrugged her shoulders. "I guess it is as Kita says. 'Soul, Human, Hollow, God. There is no difference. We are all the same. Only our powers set us apart'."
She turned once more to walk away only to be stopped by the Commander's words again.
