Yumiko stayed quiet as Kotetsu continued with the examination, checking the burns on her hands and leaving the room for some ointment after checking the more sensitive burns on her shoulders. Yumiko redressed and pulled the curtain back. Letting the sunlight in again. She closed her eyes, feeling the warmth against her stomach.
Her hand tightened on her kimono with what Misao had told her. About a terror coming…. She hoped she could help her child combat it. That it wouldn’t be alone. She looked up when Kotetsu returned.

In her hands Isane carried a few small booklets that covered pregnancy. Since Yumiko was pretty much on her own with no friends that were women, and could share the miracle of birth and pregnancy, she thought this was the next best way.
After all, Yumiko could come to her with all the questions in the world, but she could only give her medical advice. Even she herself had not been lucky enough to bring a child into the world. Isane sighed, her steps slowing as she looked down at the booklets. She felt a slight bit of jealousy, but as soon as it started to consume her thoughts she shook it off and chuckled softly.
I have no time for this. The Gotei needs me more than I need a child.
She walked over to Yumiko and handed her the reading martial. As she took it Isane informed her of further things. Once they talk started to wind down she turned from where she was standing and looked to the young girl. "You know the Commanders wife, Yoruichi, right?" As Yumiko nodded slowly, Isane contained. "I am sure she could fill you in on something as well."

Yumiko closed the top book in her lap as she tilted her head at Kotetsu. “I know her?” she asked. “But I believed that Lord Kuchiki wasn’ married.” She considered the signatures of energy that had been around the first division, but again, there were so many since Kyoraku’s death.
Captain Kotetsu set a hand on hers. “You disappeared before this happened, but Kuchiki asked Kisuke Urahara to take over as the commander. Until the Soul King decides on Kyoraku’s replacement. I was saying that you knew Yoruichi Shihoin.”
“Oh, yes I do.” Yumiko looked down to her lap again, reading the smaller print on the cover of a booklet. Mentioning Yoruichi reminded her of Kita. Someone she couldn’t put into the back of her mind as easily as Vale. Because… She sighed. “Yes, she could,” she admitted. She chuckled a moment later. Yoruichi was, after all, a flamboyant, stubborn woman.
“She gave me a bag of coins and sent me shopping for books my first day with her. When I was getting down. And then told me to not move when I hurt myself saving….”
Kita. Saving Kita.
She spread her fingers over her stomach and the warmth inside her. “I’ll ask her some questions.”

Knocking softly Kisuke entered the room, "Coming in so cover up if needed." He adjusted his hat and smirked. "Not like I have not seen my fair share, thanks to my wife." He looked to Yumiko walking her way after closing the door.
Stepping up to her he wrapped his arms around her and gave her a tender kiss on the forehead. "There is our girl." Yumiko smiled brightly at him as he then looked to Isane. "How is she doing, Doc?"

Isane smiled at him. "She is good and pregnant."
Kisuke blinked a few times adjusting his hat. "Ok wait," he started talking with his hand. "Is that, 'She is good and pregnant', or 'She is good. And pregnant?' or is it--"
Isane patted his arm laughing softly. "She is good. And she is pregnant."
Kisuke looked quickly back at Yumiko. "How?" His hands shook quickly along with his head as he continued. "I mean I know how. Hell I have a kid. BUT HOW?"
Isane patted his shoulder. "She met a God like Kenpachi did. It seems there is more than one God helping us out." Kisuke turned back looking at Yumiko with questioning eyes. Isane walking across the room so they could talk in alone.

“Hi, Kisuke,” Yumiko murmured. She paused then continued, still smiling gently. “A God of Death Misao came to me when I was resting in the room where I was sealed. He spoke of a future terror that would come… and a peace I could have. He said I deserved to have unconditional love." She looked down to her lap. "Also…. something about the first Eva. It's.... Vale.”
Kisuke looked at her for a few minutes then over to Isane. "Captain Kotetsu." She turned and looked at the two. "Yumiko can go, right?"
"Yes. I am only waiting on test results. As long as she comes see me tomorrow sometime she is free to go." Isane told them both.
Kisuke looked to Yumiko and helped her down off the bed. "Lets take this back to my office." He told her.
Yumiko nodded. "Yes, I suppose we should." She looked to the healer and bowed. "Thank you for the talk. I will come back soon." She looked back to Kisuke. "Let's go." She would learn the truth. But she wouldn't let it drag her down. Not now.
As they walked out, heading towards the first division, Yumiko let herself lean against Kisuke.

From high in the sky, a beautiful man watched as Yumiko and Urahara walked out and away from the building, his white hair fell carelessly down his chest and sides. His kimono was perfectly designed to symbolize the work he had perfected, the leaves on it were exact matches of the falling leaves on the ground in the Soul Society. He held a pretty sun umbrella with one hand, the golden brown color of it made it look like a second sun hovering over his head. He muttered to himself, "Those aren't the Soul Reapers I'm looking for," He squinted and looked around the building to see if he could find his target. He grew frustrated when she hadn't shown yet, the wind began to pick up slightly, but before it could get worse, he saw the Soul Reaper, Isane Kotetsu, "Oh there you are, Captain," He watched as she left the building and wondered to the fourth division gardens. He smiled as he spoke in a whisper, but made sure to direct the wind for Isane to hear his words, "Captain Isane Kotetsu.. You are my choice." He watched her stop and look around, when she looked into the sky, Horai disappeared, only leaving a scatter of leaves in the wind.

“Silent Fox”: (continued) Kisuke walked in the room seeing Gin sitting in a chair in front of the window. A large glass of water on the small table next to him, and a nasty scar across his neck. "Yo," he called to him Gin did not look his way, only continued to stare out the window. Kisuke walked over and sat down in the chair next to him remaining silent, waiting for him to say something first.

Gin was silent for a long while. He had been considering what to do ever since he woke up, but he had rarely been on drugs of this sort. And they messed with his mind. Even now, his usual rage seemed to be under some kind of curtain. He hoped it was a passing thing.
He would need that side of himself with the cards appearing on the table before them.
He tapped his fingers along the window sill. “You know, shop keep, I’ve rarely ever visited these walls. Either my wounds were such that they couldn’t be found out or I was somewhere this quaint division couldn’t reach.” He chuckled. "And the worst seem to always happen because of a stubborn .... beautiful human."
He fell silent again.
“Who inherited Old Man Yama and Kyoraku’s things?”

Kisuke sat forward taking off his hat as he looked at Gin, then chuckled lightly. "Captain Kotetsu must have you on some really good medication." When Gin looked his way he sat back in the chair once more.
"Are you up to talking about what happen to you? If not I understand fully."

Gin tapped his fingers on the windowsill again. “Do you or do you not know the answer to my question first, shop - keep? It’s important. Thanks to this attack - and the limited ability of regular healing, it is going to take some time to heal. I will need,” he grinned, “distraction when these drugs start wearing on me and I am more aware of my surroundings.” Kisuke tilted his head. "I'd have to look into what happened to the Old Man's things, but I would figure that most of what was in the office from Kyoraku was given to Nanao-chan or his family." He leaned forwards. "Now you have my answer. What are you up to and what happened?"
Gin chuckled again. "Vale happened, as you expected," he lisped, not wanting the words to carry beyond the two of them. "He turned back to his roots and let me taste his powers gifted to him as an Eva. He turned back my time. So I couldn't dare to go after Kita." His tapping halted. "You know what that means, right?"

Kisuke sighed. "So Tervaden did this to you?" Gin nodded slowly. "Are you sure about his returning? No one knows what was said between Vale and Aizen. As far as we know he threatened him to get Kita back, then when you showed up wherever he was when you came across him, he just put you out of the way the only way he knew how to keep you down."
Kisuke scratched his head as Gin narrowed his eyes at him. "What?! I know what I said in the past about Tervaden, but what if we both are making a wrong call." He sighed. "Given it has been a week since we have seen him and you would think if he made it out of there with Kita he would have at least gotten a message to us."

Gin’s voice grated as he spoke next. “Because he casually told his son that he killed me." His eyes sparked, but he calmed at the burning his throat. “And I bet his son is gone from the house.” He paused and all emotion left his face. “The kid touched me even with Vale dragging him away. He won’t understand the truth… He can't fix this."
His eyes narrowed. "And Vale's not getting my son."

Kisuke stood and started pacing the floor by the bed scratching the top of his head under his hat. “If it is fact that Tervaden returned to Aizen,” he shook his head. He could not let thoughts of his daughter being back in that hell enter his mind. He had to stay positive. “Maybe it’s a farce maybe he is making Aizen believe he reverted to get Kita back.”
He turned and looked at Gin as he looked to him from the window. “He knows Kita will leave him if he were to return back to Las Noches. He is no fool. His worst fear is to lose Kita and Kadaj. He would not risk it.”
“And what if he doesn’t care anymore?” Gin asked.
Kisuke’s head shook quickly. “Doubting Tervaden’s love for Kita and Kadaj is like doubting yours for Kita and Sojiro. You’ll be made a liar and made to eat your words.”

"There's another option that you're not considering," the fox responded. He hesitated, not wanting to voice this particular path aloud, but he would. "His presence there and their bond could augment Tervaden's chances to get her to stay in Las Noches. For good. If he were the one leading her and not Aizen." He paused again, turning back to the window. "It is Aizen Kita loathes and select others. She does not loathe Las Noches as a whole. If the portrait was skewed enough, if she had her family, she might be swayed."
Gin faced the shopkeeper once more. "It is an option Aizen has always had in reserve, but he lacked a key detail. Darkness. Kita and I were looking for a way out. Is that the same with Tervaden?"
