"Moving Forwards Again":Toshiro sat on the guard rail on the top of a hill that overlooked the river. People scurried up and down the stairs to his left. He sighed deeply as crossed his arms over his chest. A cool breeze chilled his human form and blew his hair about.
I've abandoned them...Again...First, for Kusaka...Now...I am a coward..."
Toshiro pushed himself from the guard rail and walked towards the river. He stood at the river's edge and looked down. Staring at his reflection in the water, Toshiro frowned at the loss of pride that once shined brightly in his eyes.
I am a coward... He sighed. Cowards do not deserve to live...

As the human began his decent into the water, Alister grabbed him by the scarf looped around his neck and pulled him backwards. "Cowardice does not become you, Toshiro Hitsugaya."
"Unhand me this instant! This doesn't concern you!' shouted the boy, before ceasing his struggle against the god. He turned and looked back him.
"Does it not, Histugaya?" asked Alister, releasing the child from his grasp. "If not for our last conversation, you wouldn't be in this predicament. Alister looked down at the child, a smirk growing at the corners of his lips. "And, you're welcome."

Toshiro narrowed his eyes at the god as he brought his hand to his throat. "And, what price are you owed for this?" The god shook his head and Toshiro nodded. "Thank you." He bowed to the god the fixed the scarf he had loosened.
He turned to looked at river again, his heart beating rapidly as he took another step closer to its edge.

Alister chuckled as he set a hand to the boy's shoulder. "Ice floats." The boy trembled beneath his hand. "I have to say, you were quite unlike yourself last we spoke. Almost as if you were a completely different person. You overstepped your bounds. You were arrogant and you got what you deserved."
"And, who are you to have decided what I deserved?"
"The god you got testy with, boy!" Alister forced the boy to turn and face him. He sighed as the pools of water in the child's eyes began to run down his face. "I am not a sympathetic god, child. You brought this upon yourself."

"I know." replied Toshiro, his head hung as the god spoke to him. "I was wrong." Toshiro turned away from the god, and wiped his face. "I apologize. But, I can not go back. Not now. I am a Captain that abandoned his duty. This was far different than with Kusaka. I was fighting for Hyorinmaru. This..." He shook his and backed away. "This is cowardly!" He ran towards the river edge again, this time stepping onto the river seconds after it froze. Toshiro nearly fell before catching his balance.

Alister lifted his hand as the ice dragon, Hyorinmaru crashed through the frozen river and hovered over it. His gaze fell on the boy as he looked up at the dragon on awe. "You act as if you have never seen him before. He is your zanpakuto spirit." Hyorinmaru let out a chilling roar. Alister look to his right, a group of school children playing soccer still froze since the time of his appearance. "Say what you need to and quickly?"

Toshiro slowly gazed up at the icy dragon before him. "Hyorinmaru. What...What are you doing here? I'm human, now..." He looked to the god of fire still standing on the hill, then back to the dragon. "I am human."
"Is that what you wanted? Humanity? To leave me?" asked Hyorinmaru.
"Not you." Toshiro shook his head. "I thought...I didn't want to leave you."
The dragon lowered himself to Toshiro. "Why would distancing yourself from your problems be any easier than confronting them, as you always have?"
Toshiro shook his head and fell backwards onto the frozen river. He slid a bit as he looked to the sky above. "It isn't. It's harder. My problems are still there. I've only made it harder for me to face them."
Hyorinmaru rested it's head on the river beside him. "Then, stop running. Face them. As you always have, with me at your side."
"But, I am human."

"Cross me again, child..." Alister voice echoed as he faded from the hill. "I will end you. This is the only time I will forgive your deeds." Hyorinmaru's blade appeared on the hillside in an eruption of fire, as a surge of power coursed through Hitsugaya's body. A small flame appeared in front of the boy as he fell to his knees. "Ice, Captain, cold enough...Will burn."

Toshiro nodded as he shunpo'd back to the river's edge, before the river unfroze and Hyorinmaru returned to it's rightful place. "Thank you." he whispered, a single tear falling from his eye. "Thank you." Suddenly, Toshiro rolled over in pain from having been hit in the face. He glanced over to see a soccer ball roll to a stop.

A teenager rushed ahead of the group and knelt by him. “Hey, kid, you okay?” he asked. “Sorry, we didn’t see you. Do you need a doctor?”
He stood up and cupped his hands around his mouth. “Nice going, Kurosaki-san,” he called out, “you hit a kid with white hair. I think you need to let someone else do the kicking now.”
“White hair?!” someone else repeated.
Grass crunched under shoes as Karin, dressed in a T-shirt and yoga pants, walked over with two other boys. Karin flipped the ball up into her hands as her teammates grinned. “Hey! We know him! He helped us win against those bullies a few years back. You know before the earthquake that ruined the field in the north side of town.”
“Sure hasn’t grown at all.”
“He’s actually kind of too short… maybe he’s a brother.”
Karin grinned - as Toshiro gave a muted glare in her direction - and passed the ball to another player. “Why don’t you guys continue toward the field? I'll catch up."
"Take your time. It will give us more warm up time before you start drilling."
Karin crossed her arms over her chest. "Do you want to be ready for the tournament or not?"
"Doesn't change the fact that you've been a tyrant since Hatachi-taichou busted his ankle." Karin uncrossed her eyes, eyes narrowed but smirking, starting towards the speaker, who raised their hands in surrender.
They wandered away with Karin berating them and then started down the road, kicking and passing the ball back and forth. Karin returned and squatted down next to him. She tilted her head. “You know normally you dodge, Toshiro. Distracted?" She frowned slightly, seeing the wet tracks on his face. "Were you crying?"

Toshiro rubbed his cheek. "Yes. Distracted." His eyes grew wide and he sprung to his feet. Wiping his face, he cleared his throat and look at Karin. "Long story. I will tell you later." Toshiro removed his scarf and looped it around Karin's neck before leaving a kiss on her cheek. "Later." he shouted, running up the hill to grab his zanpakuto. He held Hyorinmaru tight as he began to run down the road...Back towards his problems to face them...-END RP-

"The Unspoken Truth":Kita was enraged as she walked down the street toward the shop as she spoke aloud to herself. “I can not believe for six years they kept this from me. Something of this importance. Something this crucial. Gin I can forgive in this case he has just learned this fact this morning when he woke, but the others. The others kept this fact from me for six years. Six years!”“Calm yourself, Kita.” Sumi called to her.“Calm myself? Calm myself?!” Kita exclaimed aloud as she knocked a mailbox from the edge of the street with her mental powers, causing it to fly across the street. “FUCK.YOU. TOO!” She lifted her hand closing it around the mailbox stopping it in midair holding it in place above the street. “YOU KNEW THIS AS WELL AS THEY DID AND YOU SAID NOTHING AS WELL!” The mailbox exploded as she crushed it with her powers. Mail drifting down toward he street as it littered the walkway, street and yards in its way. “YOU KNOW MORE THAN THEY DO AND STILL YOU SAID NOTHING!! AT LEAST NOT UNTIL THE FACTS HAD BEEN BROUGHT FORTH BY ANOTHER!! YOU EVEN KNOW IF AIZEN IS STILL ALIVE OR NOT!! BUT YOU SAY NOTHING!! NOTHING TO THIS FACT!! YOU LET US WALK AROUND OBLIVIOUS TO THIS FACT!! DANGER LURKING IN THE SHADOWS AND AROUND EVERY CORNER WITH THIS MAN STILL BEING ALIVE!! YOU KNOW!! YOU KNOW AND STILL YOU HOLD BACK IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM US!! FROM ME!!” “Kita,” Sumi called to her in her fit of rage in a soothing and calm voice. “Go away! You have been silent for six years! Go crawl back in your hole and LEAVE ME ALONE! I AM SICK OF THIS! ALL OF IT!! ALL OF IT!!” Kita screamed at the top of her lungs. “I BUSTED MY ASS TO KEEP SOJIRO SAFE AS A MOTHER SHOULD AND ALL OF YOU, ALL OF YOU!! JUST SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE WITH IT! YOU LET ME PUT HIM IN THE WAY OF DANGER FOR SIX YEARS!! DID YOU GET A GOOD LAUGH OUT OF IT? DID YOU!!” Kita stopped walking and looked up to the heavens. “FUCK. YOU. ALL. TO HELL AND BACK!!!” She screamed, her hands clenched at her sides as she burst into tears, falling forward to all fours on the walkway. “I lived through hell in Las Noches. The nightmares still haunt my dreams,” her head shook. “I will die first before I let Aizen, Vale or anyone for that fact harm my son.” Her head stop shaking as her nails dug into the concrete of the walkway a few of her nails busting off to the quick and start bleeding.
“I will kill the bastard that touches him," she growled deep in her chest.

"As you should, Kitten." Gary's soft kind voice spoke to her from behind as he rested his hand to her shoulder.
Kita jolted from his touch as she quickly turned falling back to her backside and backed away from him. "It's alright, Kitten. It's just me." Gary still spoke softly to her as he offered her his hand to help her up.
She blinked at him a few times clearing the tears from her vision as he continued to smile warmly at her. "Come on. Such a lovely dress. You should not be on the ground. You will ruin it." He urged his reach toward her for her to take his hand. When she finally did he help her to her feet and over to a near by bench as the two took a seat.
Brushing the hair from her face he took one of her hands that rested to her lap. He pulled a white handkerchief from his back pocket and started ripping it into small strips wrapping her injured fingertips in it.
"Bad night I presume?" He asked her looking slightly up from her hand.

Kita said nothing only cringing a few times as he wrapped her fingertip in the white cloth that was once his hanky. Once he was done she looked down at her injured and now wrapped fingertips. Her tears starting to fall once more.
"How much of that did you hear?" Kita asked him.
Pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose he smiled, "enough to know that you are willing to kill for your son's safety."He patted her leg and adjusted himself in his seat. "As any mother would. Though--" Gary paused. "Why would Sojiro be in any danger?" He looked to her with a tilt of head. "Other than the normal dangers of our world, what else could harm him?"
Kita cast her eyes down to her lap shaking her head. "There is this man. A very evil and cruel man that took me eight years ago." She looked to Gary wiping away her tears. "Sojiro's father saved me from him. Killing him in the process or so we thought he killed him. There has been talk that this man is still alive to this day."
