Makino walked in hearing Suigetsu's last statement the look on her face changed from a bright smile to a confused ponder. "Say what?" Her free hand then came up quickly as she waved it as Suigetsu and her brother.
"No...No. Forget I ask. I don't think I want to know."
Kin chuckled at his baby sister as he walked over to Suigetsu and let his arm slip around her waist. "So how is mom and Byakuya?"
Makino nodded slowly as she moved toward them, "resting. But before we go I want to stop by and see them."
Kin blinked and looked at Suigetsu standing at his side, then back to his sister. "You were not visiting them just now?"
Makino shook her head. "No, I went for a walk around the Gotei. Stopped in the courtyard and enjoyed the morning."
"Damn it Makino!" Kin growled. "You were told to stay out of the public eye."
"I was in the center of the Gotei 13. Who in their right mind is going to take me from there?" Makino growled back in her defense.

"Come on, Kin," Suigetsu rested her arm behind his back, looking up at him with a smirk. "Makino is a trained Masanobu assassin. If she was in danger, she'd know it and she'd know how to fend someone off or get help before they had a chance to whisk her away. And I'm sure you've had eyes on her from time to time. My father sure wanted us to."
Suigetsu smiled at Makino and winked at her. "Maki-chan will be fine. I pity anyone who tries to go after her."

Makino looked to Suigetsu, "thank you. I am glad someone has faith in me."
Kin sighed at the two of them. "Its not that we don't have faith in you Makino. Right now you're injured and can't move as fast as you normally can. If these guys are as crafty as Byakuya-sama believes. They will use this to their advantage against you. You're a target, and they are just waiting for the right time to react and get their hands on you." Kin rubbed at his temple. "Please, just do as your told and stop venturing out without an escort."
Makino sighed as well. "Well after today I will have no choice. I doubt I will be able to leave the manor or the grounds once I get there."

"Not unless you go over the wall," Kin grinned, "but in your condition. I don't see that happening." His eyes then narrowed at her. "And if you try it. Success or not. I will do to you what father use to do to us when we were children."
Makino's eyes widened. "You wouldn't dare!" she said in an appalled tone.
"Watch me!" Kin retorted with a pointed look. "I will make sure you don't sit for a week. Maybe longer, and if you push your luck and keep it up I will let Byakuya-sama tan your hide."
Makino turned beat red as she quickly hobbled past her brother and Suigetsu to get her things mumbling under her breath about how cruel her brother was.
Kin grinned and picked up one of her bags. "I mean it Makino. These guys are no joking matter and you are acting as if they are. Stop playing Russian Roulette with your life."

Suigetsu resisted the urge to smirk at her beloved and his sister. She knew what Kin was saying was true, but they were still very funny together. "I used to play Russian Roulette with my brother and sister."
When Kin gave her a horrified look she laughed loudly. "Except my idea of Russian Roulette was getting eight tea cups, filling them with either tasty treats like mochi, ice cream or konpeito candy or gross things like cough medicine or pure wasabi or straight soy sauce, then blind folding all of us and picking a cup from a turntable. Whichever tea cup you chose, you had to eat. But my father made us stop playing when Suisenro puked all over the tatami mat one time."

Kin chuckled, "I believe I remember Suisenro telling me something about that one day." He looked from his love to his sister once more. "We should be going. The movers shoulder be at the Academy very soon, and if you wanted to say goodbye to mother and Byakuya-sama we need to get moving."Makino nodded as she situated her bag on her shoulder only to have Suigetsu to take it from her. "I could have gotten that.""Yeah, I am sure you could have, but right now you just need to walk. So hobble along girly." Kin motioned toward the door as the two women moved toward it. He followed slowly behind as Makino lead the way.Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: Deep RenewalEpisode 345 "Sit, Puppy! Sit!": Ryo walked down the hall of the medical ward. Her arms were filled with papers from her office. And, a piece of paper hung from her mouth. "Hello." She said with a half hearted smile as someone walked passed her. Ryo knew that she would need to stay busy as she could until Sajin woke in the hospital. She dreaded the time it would take. Even with his humanization technique, taking a blow to the chest was devastating. Ryo placed her back to the door of Sajin's room and pushed it open. As she turned around, letting the door swing close behind her, she found an empty bed. Ryo dropped her papers and hurried to the bed's side. "Sajin?!" Her concern was amplified finding Sajin on the floor on the other side of the bed. "Sajin Komamura! What are doing?!"

Sajin sprang up from the floor, a wide grin on his face. He walked over and wrapped his arms around his wife. "Ryo!" He lifted her into a hug and held her tight.
"Sajin..." Ryo pushed away from Sajin just enough to see his face. "Put me down."
"But!"
"Sajin Komamura..." Ryo stared into her husband's gold eyes and smiled. "Can you put me down, please?"
Sajin happily obliged, gently releasing his wife to her feet. "Now, before your thoughts run wild, I am fine. I feel the best I have in years. Look at me!" He said, banging a fist to his chest. "I feel great."

"I...I don't know what to say..." Ryo stuttered her way through that sentence as she looked over her husband. "Perhaps, the Vessel?"
"Perhaps." Sajin took his wife's hands in his. "More than likely this is a result of the humanization technique. I heal quickly. The vessel, maybe...Healed something that I didn't know as broken..."
Ryo nodded. She smiled weakly as she pulled her hands from his. "Sit...We need to talk..."
"Oh?"
Ryo sat next to her husband as he followed request to sit. "Puppy..." She shook her head trying to find the words. "We've been home for just a few days. Those few days have felt like nothing. Then, the nothing shifted to chaos. And...That felt unusually normal...I don't like that all the chaos and challenge felt...normal, Sajin. None of this is normal."

"No." replied Sajin with a nod. "I suppose it isn't. But, we only returned home a few days ago. Give it time, love." Sajin hunched over and kissed the top of his wife's head. "Things have already been put into motion to normalize things. You've returned to the position of Captain. I have a Lieutenant. Isao Zayasu and Jinlei Zhang have agreed to permanently take on the positions of Captain and Lieutenant or the Eighth, respectively. Oh!" Sajin clapped his hands together.
"And, Captain Hitsugaya has entrusted Korin Kugo with the position of Lieutenant of the Tenth. He's even comfortable enough to leave the division in the man's hands while he's training."
"And, just where did you learn of all of this, Captain?" Ryo smiled as she leaned against Sajin, her back to his chest.
"I admit that I've been a bit nosy." Sajin chuckled. "I've been listening to the nurses..." he whispered. "They are a gossiping bunch."

Ryo wrapped her hands around her husband's arm. "Hospitals are apparently the best circuit to gather information, it seems."
"Are you going through with your special task force?"
"I am." answered Ryo. She tilted her head back to look at Sajin. "Hisagi got back to me fairly quickly with a list of division members he'd recommend."
Sajin hummed lowly. "If I recall correctly, Murguruma used his top seated officers after Hisagi. Why not do the same?"
"Because, I am not Kensei Murguruma. We can not afford to keep clinging to the past. Some things work. But, we've held on to too much." Ryo sighed loudly as she sank into her husband. "We've suffered the Quincy...Bounts...Aizen...the Quincy again...Aizen again...What have we learned, Sajin? What have we changed?"

Sajin sighed. He words stung. He had been there for it all. And, she was right. They learned very little from each of those trials. Almost nothing. His thoughts began to run. They've face both Aizen and the Quincy twice. The Bounts were a blip in the everyday happenings of the Gotei.
"Shosei..." he mumbled. Could this man be the next true challenge?
"What of him?" questioned Ryo as she sat up. "Can you sense him?!"
Sajin shook his head. "No, my love. We are safe." he assured her. "I was just thinking. And, his name crossed my mind."
"What are you thinking?"
"I am thinking," Sajin leaned over and whispered in his wife's ear. "We should give these gossiping nurses something to gossip over."
"Down boy..." laughed Ryo.
Sajin chuckled. "My dearest, Ryo. We will be fine. We will face this new challenge and any other challenge with our heads held high."
"Holding our heads high does not mean we won't get our asses handed to us..."
Sajin sighed. "...I know..."

"I just want people to act as if they have some sense. Stop. Think. Act with clarity." Ryo sighed as he rose to her feet.
"What are you talking about?"
"Take Kuchiki, for example." Ryo swung an arm behind her, pointing to another part of the hospital. "We return to the Soul Society and the first thing he does is burn down his home."
"Yeah." Sajin rubbed his ear. "I heard about that. There were rumors in the following days that, prior to the restoration of the realm, the hollow had been using his home."
"A fact he would not have known in that moment." Ryo began to pace the room. "Hitsugaya names Urahara's son as replacement in haste. Instead of calling for order in the middle of a meeting so utterly important, the Commander decided to throw candy at the boy as if it were some sort of remedy for whatever the boy is going through."
"Ryo..."
"Despite her helping the masses upon return, there are still idiots calling for the arrest of the vessel."
"...Ryo..."
"We are not the same people we were before all of this happened! And, we need to stop pretending that we are!" Ryo shouted, her voiced echoing in the room. She held her breathe for a moment allowing the room to go quiet. She looked down at her clenched fists, her vision blurring as tears began to fill her eyes.

Sajin walked over to his wife and knelt down in front of her. "Oh, my dear...You are absolutely correct. We are not the same people we were before Aizen's war. And, I, like many of us, am guilty of trying to pretend as if nothing has changed. But, I have learned much in the last few days." Sajin took her hands in his. "I have learned that my beautiful, courageous and strong wife is incredibly fragile right now. And, doing things such as having a hole blasted through my chest and ending up in the hospital may not be the best for her mental state."
Ryo chuckled. "I am fine, Sajin."
"Ryo..." Sajin sighed and shook his head. "I know you well enough to know when you speak the truth...And, when you're not..."
"...I am strong enough...To do this..."
Sajin nodded with a weak smile. "I know...But, perhaps you should take the time to become stronger?"

Ryo sighed and pulled away from her husband. She adjusted her haori. And, did so with her head held high. "I'm okay. I can do this."
"Ryo..."
"I can!" shouted Ryo. "And, I will. I'm okay, Sajin. I am okay." Ryo turned to face the door.
Sajin rose to his feet. "Where are you going?"
Ryo glanced over her shoulder as she made her way to the door. "I am heading back to the Ninth.I need to speak with my Lieutenant about -"
"Ryo, sit down."
"No...i have to go..."
"Sit down, Ryo!"
"Sajin!"
"Sit!" he growled. Sajin pointed to a chair by the door. "I am not going to tell you again."
Ryo looked at her husband, her eyes wide in disbelief.
