Yumiko looked back in the direction Vale had taken once again, though the direction had nothing to do with her former lover and more with the young adult she deemed her nephew. “So you believe he’s alive, Gin Ichimaru?” she asked.
Kisuke chuckled. “I have seen that man cheat death — hell, I helped him cheat death — too many times to say he's kicked the bucket at this time in his life. There’s too much he needs to do. So, yes, Yumiko, I think the old fox is still out there.” He sighed. “Someone’s just playing another elaborate, horrendous joke on us all.”
Yumiko nodded and turned to join him, taking her father figure’s opposite arm. They started walking again with the guards following near them. Yumiko ignored them.
“I hope you’re right. Sojiro needs him now, even more so if….” Her voice failed, her mind on her past friend. On if she had turned away from everyone but stayed in Las Noches.
Ukitake spoke up. “Did I hear you correctly, old friend? Did Kadaj send Sojiro away? As if he were the enemy?”
Kisuke nodded. “Yes, though I believe the boy was coached into it by his father.”
Yumiko bowed her head. “It's too much," she whispered.
And yet, she closed her eyes and recalled the birth of Shina and felt another wave of faith. It could turn around. She knew it.
"Kisuke, when we get Sojiro back, is there any way you can get Vacanze to come to Soul Society, using your position as Captain Commander? Sojiro…. he’s really starting to suffer and he’s close to breaking. There's so much rage and grief in him. I don't know if he can handle what Vale made Daj do and he won't talk to-"
She cut herself off and swore under her breath. "Damn it! Sojiro's not here anymore. And Makino's hanging on by a thread because of the attack on her family. Damn!" She closed her eyes in an attempt to hold back her tears and calm down. She didn't want to agitate Shina more so than she already would be when they got back.

Kisuke shook his head, "they're not ready for an Espada to be in the Soul Society full time. They are still getting used to the idea of him coming here part time, and Kurotsuchi does not like that he has to drop the shields while he is here. V-man will remain will he is, its not like Sojiro can't contact him or go see him himself."
Kisuke adjusted his hat with his free hand as he looked to them both. "Sojiro will just have to be watched. He has never known life without his parents. They have always been there for him, even if it was in the Las Noches. Ichimaru and Kita have always been there."
Juushiro nodded slowly. "He has grown far too attached to the idea of them always being there."
"An idea he needs to realize is unrealistic." Kisuke stated. "Even if they are not around physically and no matter where they are. They will always be with him in spirit." He looked to Yumiko.
"When we get to the Fourth Division I need you to find Makino. I don't care what you tell her as in why Sojiro's energy is no longer present in the Soul Society, but whatever you tell her make damn sure she is stable before you leave her." Kisuke looked pointedly at her. "If you have to leave her and she is still flighty. You have Isane knock her out. I will not have Lady Saya or Kuchiki waking to having her in recovery."

Urahara halted in his tracks as blood began to drip from his chest. Vale appeared, standing before him with his blade in Urahara's chest. He grinned madly, as he forced the blade deeper into the man's chest. "I said farewell, Captain." Vale stepped closer as Urahara leaned over, and whispered in his ear. "But, this is not your goodbye." Quickly, Vale slid his blade from the man's chest and spun on the balls of his feet.
Chinmoku connected with the forearm of the still ailing Ukitake. Vale's grin grew wide. "Oh, yes! Fight back!" His eyes narrowed at Yumiko. "Run."

As Ukitake stumbled and Kisuke’s blade rose shakily up, Yumiko drew her own blade and erected Benehime’s crimson barrier, wrapping it around all three of them. “You bastard!” she snapped. “Haven't you done enough today?” But before he could reply, a wave of blue white lightning struck at his back and missed. Yumiko tightened her grip on Mizue as her shield shook and Captain Hirako appeared between the shield and Vale as he reappeared.

Shinji’s mask tilted to one side as he hissed from within the confines of his hollow. “You really have a bad habit of jumping away before blasts can mark you, Vale Tervaden. And I think it’s time I fixed it. Eva or not, you’re a pain in the ass and I am tired of playing guard over the wounded.”
He shunpo’ed forwards, reiatsu climbing and clashed his blade with Chinmoku, claws forming on one hand and eerie ripples sliding down the bone.
Shinji lashed his claws out, trying to rake him with the poison. "THIS is much more fun!!"

Vale's form shattered into Chinmoku's cloud as his laughter echoed throughout the area. Urahara grunted, bringing a hand to his chest.
"He's slightly more annoying than Teruo." he chuckled. "And, his disdain for dying makes him slightly less annoying than Ichimaru."
"Now is not the time for-"
Ukitake's words were cut short as Chinmoku grew in mass and began to rip through the area.
"I am curious, Urahara...Ukitake." Vale's form appeared before the three again. He focused on the Captain Commander and the ill captain, ignoring the Vizard. "They say that history repeats itself. And, well...Your brother is living proof of such a thing. I've asked before. And, I'll ask again." Vale chuckled. "This game... You've been playing the same game for centuries now. The rules have not changed. Neither have the consequences. The only thing that has changed, are the pieces." Bringing a finger to his chin, Vale hummed. "And, since you are more than capable of figuring out how to beat the game, it only stands to reason that you haven't finished the game is because you enjoy it."
"What's the question, Vale?" asked Kisuke.
"Why. Haven't. You. Ended. The. Game?"

“It has nothing to do with enjoying this war or the game as you deign to call it,” Juushiro snapped as his friend growled, his hand over his bleeding arm and face pasty white. His eyes remained strong. “The answer to your question is this. We haven’t ended it because we won’t sink to the same level as those on the other side. Therefore, it takes more time…. and more sacrifice…. to make a victory.”
He closed his eyes and Yumiko set a hand on his bleeding arm. “But if we were to become our enemy, we would lose the war. By default. Because we would give up our souls...."
He took a breath and looked to the swirling storm around Yumiko's shaking shield. "And that is something that sets us apart, Vale Tervaden, you from your brother, and Aizen from each member of the Gotei. You will do anything. We know there are limits before you lose something you can never get back. That is something even Kenpachi Zaraki agrees to."
Kisuke chuckled under his breath, coughing a moment later. "Not that- that the big ass would admit or know that."
Juushiro smiled momentarily at the truth of that matter.
"It is my turn for a question, Vale Tervaden, since you believe it is the time for this."
He raised his head and looked to the form with burning eyes. "You had a chance to get back what you lost. You turned your back on it. Why are you doing this?"

"You are an ignorant, old fool." said Vale. "Have you learned nothing?" He stepped forward, letting his hand grace the surface of the barrier. "Why is there the assumption that I've lost something? Why not accept the fact that it was willing given up? Must you try to see the silver lining in everything? Some things are truly just as dark as they seem, Ukitake. I kill, not because I am told to but I want to. If you are in my way, I will move you. And, still, my treachery is not a severe as Urahara."
Vale looked over to Urahara with a wide grin on his face. "He harbors the devil in his house. Snakes may shed their skin, but it doesn't change the animal. And, the hollow. You all are a bunch of idiots for thinking he's turned. It's not in a hollows nature to become what you wish him to be. And, regardless of how much you attempt to mold this...character...it won't change the fact that he is hollow. He is a damaged soul that clung to his evil so much so that he became a creature whose very nature is to haunt and terrify. Not...bake cakes and fall in love. Shadows can not illuminate the dark, gentlemen. You beg for a change that isn't there. And, because of that, the greatest betrayals come from within your house. Kita. Kenji. Ichimaru. Vacanze."
Chinmoku began to fade as the form of Vale began to disappear. "I cause chaos because it is a distraction from the truth. A simple truth. And, until you acknowledge that truth, this monster will continue to call...Because you enjoy the game."

Kisuke coughed, his hand still to his chest. "The only ignorant, old fool here is you Tervaden. A man can change. Not only his heart, but his way of thinking. The only thing he needs is the reason to do so. The men you speak of were given that reason for change. They wanted it. They embraced it and in doing so they were able to do something you never could or will do."
His eyes narrowed under his hat as he looked at him. "Not even for the woman you love or the children you raise. When you know for a fact the path you walk is a path to destruction and in the end death. If anyone of the men Kita has been with were selfish. It is you. The ones before you only wanted to make life better for her. You only want to drag her and your children into the darkness and put them in the pits of Hell for your own selfish wants and needs."
"You, Vale Tervaden are the one that needs to be removed from her life. Not Ichimaru, not Vacanze, not Tsukiro. You."

Vale chuckled as he continued to fade. "A tiger can not change his stripes. No matter what his agenda, or the process he takes to obtain it...None of them have change. So, stop fucking around and believing that they have. Look at what you've done, Urahara. You've ensured the safety of others because you believe as I do...They have not changed. Vancanze with either yourself or the Kurosaki's. Ichimaru always with yourself or watched from a distance."
As Vale finally disappeared, his voice lingered behind. "Yamamoto ...what would he think..."

Juushiro sighed as Chinmoku’s presence faded. “I will never understand that man. He has seen change, but when it suits his purposes or his perspective, he will deny its existence.” He looked to his old friend, who was leaning on Shinji. The hybrid was scowling at the lopsided grin on the shopkeeper’s face. Kisuke adjusted his hat. “The world would be a very boring place if we understood everything about it.” Juushiro chuckled. “I think you’ve lost a little too much blood, Kisuke. Let’s get you to Isane before you fall over.” “Are you sure you want to go to her when you’re away from your bed again? She’s still pregnant, you know. That does scary things to women!” Juushiro didn’t worry about replying as the four of them left the area, mind on the confrontation or the warning left behind by Vale Tervaden. -- END RP -- "Setting the Hounds Off Again"

"An Urahara": (Continued) Kenji walked slowly, Ryuko walking in front of him. The sleeves of his haori fluttered behind him as a cool wind blew. He squinted from the sun, as he looked at Ryuko. She had stopped and waited for him to catch up."Walking slow won't help." she said, gently rocking the bundle in her arms. "Come on, now. Hurry." Kenji shook his head. "I'm hurrying. I'm hurrying." Walking a bit faster, he caught up to Ryuko and stood beside her. Kenji leaned forward and kissed her cheek. "It feels so different here." He looked around, hearing the murmuring of the people around them. "Everyone seems...so..." He sighed."So...what?" Ryuko placed a finger beneath Kenji's chin, lifting his head. "So, different..." Kenji looked up, seeing the towering figure of Captain Komamura. "Captain!" said Kenji. He walked over and waved. The large Captain grunted as he leaned over to see the boy. "It's me. Kenji."Sajin grunted again. "Kenji Urahara, hm?""Yeah." said Kenji, rubbing the back of his head. "The one and only."Sajin laughed loudly, picking up the small man and squeezing him tight. "It's good to see you, again." He dropped the boy to his feet. "If you're here to see your father, he's off to see Captain Kuchiki.""Oh?" he sighed. "Well, do you know when he'll be back?" "No clue." said Sajin, lifting a hand and pointing to the young woman. "And, just who is that? Is she an Urahara?"Kenji nodded."And, the little one?"Kenji nodded again. "Both Uraharas.""Haha!" laughed Sajin, smacking Kenji on the back, knocking him forward. "Seems you've been busy.""Kind of." Kenji placed his hand to his chest and coughed."This will be quite the surprise when your mother comes down." Sajin pointed to the top of the stairs, as he began to walk away. "Welcome back, Kenji.""Mom..." whispered Kenji, as he looked to the top of the stairs.

Seeing the exchange below between Sajin and another, Yoruichi slowly made her way down the steps. When Sajin moved she saw her only son standing with a woman that was holding a child in her arms. She quickly picked up her pace and made her way to them. When she reached them she stopped in front of her son and looked at him for a brief moment before tears pooled in her eyes and she embraced her son.
"Kenji..." her arms grew tighter around her son. "Where have you been? We have been worried sick about you." She leaned back from the embrace and looked into his eyes. "We thought you were dead when you did not return with the others from Las Noches." Her dainty hand lifted as she brushed the hair from his eyes.
"Your father and sister will be so happy to see you."

"Yeah." Kenji gave a sheepish smile as he took hold of his mother's hand. "How...How are you, mom? Are you okay?"
"I'm alright, honey." Yoruichi smiled at her son. "I'm okay. How are you? Where have you been?"
"I've been around." he answered, looking around.
"Well, if that isn't an Urahara answer." laughed Yoruichi.
"Well, it's true." Kenji kicked at a pebble on the ground. "After Las Noches, I kind of wandered for a bit. Then, I got tired of that. So, I built a house in Kamikawa. Did a bit of growing. You know. That sort of thing."

Yoruichi smiled, "something we all have to do." She commented on the growing part as she walked over to the young lady that was holding the infant. Her hand lifted as her nimble fingers moved the edge of the blanket back ever so slightly to look at the child.
A warm smile crossed her lips as she looked to the young woman. "May I hold my grandchild?"
