Kenji looked away from his mother. "That lady could have been a complete stranger, Mom..." he grunted. "Geez..."
"I know an Urahara when I see one." smiled Yoruichi. "May I?" she asked as she looked to the young lady.
Ryuko smiled and gently handed Kenji's mother her child.
Kenji turned back to see Ryuko, his child and his mother. "Mom. This is Ryuko. Ryuko Urahara."
"I told you, Kenji." said Yoruichi. "I know an Urahara when I see one."
Kenji chuckled as he scratched the back of his head. "His name is Keiji."
"Kenji wanted to name him Kisuke. He looks just like his grandpa, wouldn't you say?" asked Ryuko.
Yoruichi smiled. "Blonde hair. Those bright yellow eyes. You are a spitting image of your grandpa Kisu, aren't you?" Yoruichi smiled.
Kenji smiled warmly as he looked to his family. He reached over and rubbed at his shoulder. He pulled his haori over his shoulder. "Mom. Captain Komamura said that Dad was Captain Kuchiki. Do you mind if I go?"

"To go see him? Of course I don't mind at all. Your father would love to see you." She turned to face her son with his child still in her arms. "Byakuya is in room 198 in the medical division. I am sure he would enjoy seeing you as well. Your father went to him with good news."
Kenji shook his head, "no mom. I mean can I leave since dad is busy."
Yoruichi frowned. "Of course you can't leave. You just got here and I want to spend time with my son and his new family. There is so much I want to tell you. Things you need to know." A wide smile crossed her lips. "Your Uncle, he is dead. Its over. Its finally over."

Kenji's mouth opened slightly as he shook his head. He shook his head slightly. "Dead..." whispered Kenji. "Aizen's dead?" He shook his head as he reached across his body again, taking hold of his arm. Kenji backed up until he found himself against the wall of a building.
"He's...gone..." Kenji slid down the wall until he sat on the ground. "Kita!" he shouted, scrambling to his feet. "What about Kita? Vale? Soji? Mom! Is Kita okay?!"

Yoruichi's head shook slightly. "Your sister is in mourning from the death of Tervaden. Sojiro is doing fine."
Kenji looked pointedly at his mother. "Vale is dead too?! What happen? Did Aizen kill him?"
Yoruichi sighed looking down at the bundle in her arms. "No. The Ayakashi killed him." She looked back to her son. "Kita is not sure, nor does she care, but with what Aizen said to her before she killed him; she believes they were acting on the orders of Aizen. Either way. She wiped out Las Noches and kill many of the Hollows along with Aizen."

Another breeze blew, pushing Kenji's haori off of his shoulders. He turned quickly, catching his haori before it blew away. Kenji turned to face his mother again. He turned away from her curious eyes, draping the haori over his shoulders again. He began walking up the stairs, sure his family would follow.
"He doesn't like talking about it." said Ryuko, following Kenji as he moved up the stairs.
"What happened?" asked Yoruichi, kissing her grandchild on the forehead.
"He told me that it was taken by a hollow." answered Ryuko.
"Did he, now..."
Ryuko nodded. "But, like you, I don't believe it. I think he did it. Kenji went through a really dark period, out there by himself. I pitied him, when we first met."
"And, now?" questioned Kenji, looking over his shoulder. "Do you pity me, now?"
Ryuko smiled as she shook her head. "Not at all, Kenji Urahara."
Kenji smiled and kept walking.

"Why did you take your own arm, Kenji?" His mother asked as she followed in behind him. "Was it from a failed experiment?"
When her son refused to answer her she let it drop knowing it would come out soon enough by the probing of his father or sister. She looked to Ryuko and smiled. "How long have you two been married?"

"Are you going to pry the entire time we're here?" questioned Kenji, stopping on the stairs. He turned to face Ryuko and his mother. "I didn't come to play twenty questions."
"Oh, but that's what you're going to get!" grinned Yoruichi. "Don't think you're too old to get your ass handed to you."
Kenji sighed and waited for his mother and wife. "We married shortly after we found out this little guy was coming. " Kenji gave Ryuko a quick nod.
Ryuko smiled and gently took the baby away from Yoruichi. "I'll give you two some time." She began walking toward the bottom of the stairs.
"Don't go too far." Kenji called out. He looked to his mother before sighing and taking a seat on the stairs. He placed his zanpakuto across his lap. "Mom..."
Yoruichi sat beside Kenji, folding her hands in her lap. "Yeah?"
"...I'm sorry." Kenji was silent for a moment. "You know, Ryuko and I...Kind of reminds me of Gin and Kita." His mother looked at him curiously. "I don't deserve her. And, she deserves better than me. But...The way she looks at me...Smiles at me...It's the same look you give dad."
"So, we look at you both like you're crazy?"
Kenji chuckled. "Like you love us..." He looked down at the ground. "I really did miss you guys, Mom. And, Ryuko doesn't have any family. So, if everything goes well today...She would like to stay, if you guys will have me. Us...Have us." Without letting his mother answer, Kenji rose to his feet quickly. "I'll do what I need to earn my place, again. I'll clean barracks. Wash uniforms. Keep the grounds. Tend to the sick. Anything!" Kenji's faced warmed with the tears the ran down his face. "I just...I just wan-" Kenji quickly found himself wrapped in the arms of his mother.

"We never shunned you away. You're the one that did that. There is no need to prove anything. You're always welcome in our home. Our home. Meaning your home too." She released him from the embrace.
"You will love living in the Shihoin palace or not. Its up to you were you want to live, but Ryuko will never again not know what it is like to not have family. Nor will your son, my grandson, not know who his family is." She chuckled softly. "We might be a little crazy at times, but there is more love to go around then we know what to do with." She paused for only a second.
"Your sister is going to be so over joyed at being an Aunt. Something she needs right now." She took his hand in hers and smiled as she looked deep into his eyes. "Welcome home, Kenji."

Kenji wiped away his tears and nodded. "If it's alright with you, I'd like to go see dad, now." He felt the gentle fingers of Ryuko as she brushed hair away from his face. "Why don't you talk to your mother just a bit longer, Kenji?" Ryoku smiled as she motioned to hand Keiji to his father. Kenji handed his zanpakuto to his mother as he took his son. "I can do that. Why don't we go inside?" he said, nodding toward the First Division office. "Maybe, word it'll get out that we're here and dad will come back."Moved

"The Tiger and the Dragon": (continued) Kisuke continued his path unaware that time had stopped. He had already placed Kadaj's zanpakuto in a safe place. Not locked away from the boy. Not sealed, but up out of the way so the only time the zanpakuto was with the boy was when he was being trained. He was not going to allow another incident like this one to take place. He was going to have a hard enough time explaining this, he did not want to have a round two and then having to fight with the masses to seal the boy and his zanpakuto. This is his grandson, and in time he will get the boy to understand and wield his zanpakuto with the greatest of ease and control the beasts within. Hearing a noise behind him Kisuke turned, his grandson standing behind him, his eyes narrowed and glowing a deep dark purple. "Kadaj? Where is your mother? Where is Kita?"

"Where is Shokan?" Kadaj grabbed his mother's father by the front of his shirt. "Where did you put him, Kisu..." He released the man and stepped back. "Give Shokan back." Kadaj's long black hair flowed in the breeze. "It is unwise to strip a man of his zanpakuto."
"What do you know of a zanpakuto and a man, Kadaj?" asked Kisuke. "You can barely wield yours. And, yet you're attempting to lecture me."
Kadaj narrowed his eyes at his mother's father. He held out his hand. "Give me Shokan." He glanced over his shoulder to find his mother and her brother behind him.

Kisuke chuckled as he adjusted his hat. "Maybe if I saw a man in front of me I would conciser your requests, Kadaj. However, I do not see a man. I see a child. A child that not only does not understand his zanpakuto. He can't even control it."
He stepped forward. "Let me train you, Kadaj. Let me teach you how to use Abreak to his full extent and make the two of you a force hard to reckon with. If you are not trained properly it will come to the point where Abreak will devour you. Do you want that to happen? Do you want to leave your mother alone. Without you. Without your father. She will be alone. Sad and blame herself. Is that what you want?"

"Father?" asked Kadaj, his hand falling to his side. He glanced over his shoulder to look at his mother. Her expression confused him. He turned to face her. Kadaj narrowed his eyes at his mother until he could no longer. He looked away from her. "Mommy isn't alone." his voice was low. "She has daddy."
"No Kadaj. Your father is no longer with us." Tears slipped down her cheeks as she thought of her husband. She tried to keep her tone as neutral as possible and not let her emotions take over as she talked to her son. This was not the way she wanted to do this. "Your father was killed by Aizen's Ayakashi. He is gone. Its just you, me and Sojiro now."
Kadaj looked to his grandfather as his eyes filled with tears. "I can fix it...I need Shokan..."
Akui appeared before the four. She turned to Kadaj and wiped away his tears. She gently caressed his cheek as he regressed in his sadness, becoming a child again.
"I wa' Shokan..." he whined to himself. "I tell daddy Kisu no give Shokan back."

Kita quickly went to her son kneeling in front of him as Akui stepped aside for her. She took her baby boy in her arms and held him tightly. "I am sorry sweetie. I did not want to tell you like this. I did not want you to have to find out about your daddy like this."
Kisuke and Kenji walked up to the the two of them as she felt the hand her brother on her shoulder, her father placing a hand to Kadaj's shoulder and kneeling beside them as he turned his eyes to his grandfather.
"You may have Shokan back if you promise me one thing." Kisuke told him.
Kadaj buried his face in his mother's shoulder, not wanting to look at anyone. He said nothing.
Kita stood with Kadaj in her arms and looked to Kisuke. "Lets finish this conversation either later or tomorrow. Kadaj has had a very trying last hour." She hugged her son tightly and kissed his temple as he hid his face in her shoulder, her hand gently rubbing his back.

Kenji nodded as Kita walked away with Kadaj in her arms. Succumbing to the pain, he fell to one knee. Kenji chuckled as he looked to his father. "I think...We've both got some serious explaining to do."
"Oh?"
Trying to stand, Kenji grunted with a nod. "I'll have to explain to my wife why I was almost eaten by a dragon. And, you'll have to explain to the Captains what all that ruckus was about." Kenji grabbed his right arm as he sat to the ground. "What are you going to do about Kadaj, dad? He'll need more training that I did. You've got a whole army to lead. You don't have time for that type of training."
