Ulquiorra chuckled quietly. “Is that really true?”
“What do you mean? Sumi’s-”
“A goddess. Not human, soul reaper, or hollow. Those created above creation, I understand that.” He paused. “But is raw power the only thing needed to stay alive and be strong? Is it that simple?” The Espada’s dark eyes focused on his lost charge. “All Aizen - anyone - has to do is wait for your human shell to take over to rule you. If it weren’t for the orders of Aizen, someone already would have.” He chuckled again and walked over to the balcony. “You have much to learn, Kita Miyamoto. Of survival, of power, in a world of black and white.”
He slowly transformed. “Examine your experiences so far and those of your friends. You will understand more.”
“What do you mean?”
“Why is Gin Ichimaru still intimidating and respected now after his betrayal? Why has Yumiko Ryouma, a woman who I have said has died more than once already, is still alive and worth possessing? Why did …. Orihime Inoue break and crawl out as something else?”
His wings stretched out, spreading over the room like a cloak. “Think on that, woman.” He took off.

Kita knew the answer to his questions. She knew it was not power alone that kept one alive, but his examples were poor. One thing the Espada underestimated is the power of love, family and friendship.
Something Kita no longer had.
Both Yumiko and Orihime were broken. Broken to the point that if left unattended they would have withered and slipped into a deep depression.
If left here in the hell called Las Noches. They both would have been lost; not only to themselves, but the ones trying to control them. Neither was molded properly as to what Aizen wanted and needed them for. They were just broken and left to tend to their own wounds, which only festered and grew sour. Causing the women to withdraw. It was their loved ones, family and friends that helped them stand again. It was the lessons they lived that made them strong. Strong of heart, mind, and soul; and the sheer will to not let it happen again.
“Sheer will…” Kita mumbled in the silences of the room.
Kita stepped out on the balcony where Ulquiorra departed. Placing her hands on the railing she looked out on the dark sands of Hueco Mundo, the crest moon hanging low in the sky as it softly lit the white sands below it as she spoke softly to the moon. Hoping he would hear.
“There is no hate. There is no love. Only dark skies hanging above. I’m calling your name as I walk alone. You're my dark star and now you're falling away, but I found in you what was lost in me. In a world so cold and empty I could lie awake just to watch you breathe, but in the dead of night, you went dark on me.” She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. “You're the cause. The antidote. The sinking ship that I could not let go. You led my way then disappeared. How could you just walk away and leave me here blinded, I can't do this on my own? You were all I've got.”
Closing her eyes she took a slow deep breath and held it, her head tipping back slightly as a warm breeze wrapped around her once more. Her long raven hair danced, her white billowing haori drifted lightly in the wind around her.
Her mind cleared as she exhaled, her eyes still closed as she stepped up on the wide railing of the balcony. She lowered her head, her eyes opening as she looked down to the sands below. She smiled, looking back out over the horizon. Without warning. Without tears. Not even a farewell. She spun pushing back with her legs, her arms out wide as she fell into the nothingness called Hueco Mundo. Falling, falling, falling to the sands hundreds of feet below the balcony. She looked up into the dark sky her smile still in place as a peace washed over her; she closed her eyes still smiling.
“There's a memory of how I used to be. I can see it through the flames. I am hypnotized as I fantasize. Forgetting the lies and pain, but I can't go back. The ashes are already calling my name. As I pour the fuel, and fan the flames; I am breaking the habit and melting the chains. Embracing the fear, and chasing the fight. The glow of the fire will light up the night and the bridges are burning. Making the past an unreachable place. It's uncontrollable. Such a beautiful desire. There's something sinister about the way it hurts as I watch it burn--Because I can't go back--I know, this is the point of no return.”
“All my life they let me know how far I would not go, but inside the beast still grows. Waiting. Chewing through the ropes.”
”Who are you to change this world? Silly Girl. No one needs to hear your words. Just let it go.”
”He will come for you. Come to take away everything you are. Bring you to an end.”
“Could he change me? Could he take away everything I am…? Everything I am?”
“Make me fall. Make me bleed.” Her smiled widened as her mind toppled deeper into the darkness. “Go ahead and change me? Take away everything I am. Never enough. Who I am is not good enough. Never enough. Who I am. I'll be what you wanted. Until I burn beyond control. I will bring it to an end. I will face the odds against me and run into the fear I ran from.” She laughed, “It has begun. Into the darkness below. Evading shadows. I’ll watch this shell come unraveled as the seed begins to rise, embracing its fate.”
She cradled her arms over her chest, a soft laugh echoed around her once more as her eyes closed again.
“I know you're watching, I can feel you out there--Please save me... if I become my demons. When I become my worst enemy.”

“Bankai.”
A wave of reiatsu flowed up through the Fourth Tower as a blinding ray of white twisted out from a window. Ripping through the atmosphere, Shinsou sliced through the woman’s haori three times. Great slashes clawed into the Fourth Tower and the afterimages of the steel flame rippled outwards. Two scraps of cloth drifted downwards like dying doves. The raw energy from the reiatsu lingered.
Kita’s white form soared across the air on the current like momentum, the wind knocked out from her, and the silver-haired reaper retracted his blade. Eyes narrowed, he sheathed his blade and shunpo’ed towards the small figure. Corralling her in the flimsy cloth left and seizing her bundled body. He whirled around and took off towards the canopy. He landed on the wide dome and tossed his burden down. His blazing eyes burned.

As the woman plummeted, whispering strange words as she fell, Ulquuiorra had dove, morphing into his second release for a burst of power as he fell towards her, but he veered off the instant before a silver and white blur whipped through the air, cutting the particles around him. His wings spread out and he soared above the danger, amber eyes narrowed on the reunion as the demon landed on the sand on Las Noches' dome with his burden. What would he observe? And what was the purpose of the stunt the woman had pulled on his watch? He was not amused, but as the reiatsu of the furious Snake lashed around the sky, the Espada decided to wait for Aizen's interference. Wait and watch. Moved

"Resuming Orders":
Ulquiorra set Miyamoto on the couch and stepped back, waiting for her to wake. The woman had challenged him twice this day and had been given back into his hands. He would finish what he had started, and as usual, her flame would drag other players down with her. The only question was the matter of time. Ulquiorra folded his arms and looked down at the vessel. What had she learned? And what were the lies she clung to now?
A glint of metal on her finger caught his eye.
Moving forward, he removed it. Holding it in his hand, he considered the facts forming before him, dissecting them and waiting for her to wake.

Kita started to stir slightly, her hand lifting and going to the back of her head as her face scrunched up from a building headache. Letting her fingertips gently touch the tender area she hissed and withdrew her hand. She tried pushing up from the slouched position she was sitting, this causing her head to spin as she moaned softly and her eyes squeeze shut. When the dizziness passed, her eyes opening slowly, thankful that the light in the room was dim.
As they opened a blurry, dark silhouette stood in front of her. She blinked a few times to clear her vision. It was not working so she closed her eyes again and shook her head slightly hoping it would not aggravate the building headache. Her hand lifted as it slid to the back of her neck and she rubbed. Suddenly the rubbing stopped and her other hand jolted up both hands now feeling the collar placed around her neck.
She growled as her eyes opened quickly and she looked directly at the blurry form in front of her. She knew who it was now. "Take it off me, Ulquiorra! Take it off now!" Her words were not loudly spoken, but held forceful demand behind them.

Ulquiorra sonido’ed over and ripped her hands from the collar. “You will desist in this action, woman," he ordered. "And if you won’t stop trying to pull it off, then I will tie your hands behind your back. The collar will not be removed now and your attempts to remove it by force will only result in the highest price.” He let her go. “You will greet Death — even if we were to bring you back. Are you that weary of life, woman?”

Kita whipped her look to the Espada a nasty look on her face. "You bastards created a collar that if removed it kills the one wearing it?!" She growled a little louder than she anticipated as she grabbed the side of her head and fell back into the couch. Her head tossed side to side as she grew still and silent. Suddenly she started to giggle softly, it slowly grew louder as her head started to shake again.
"Bastards..."

“I told you before, woman,” Ulquiorra stated, unfazed by her changing emotions, “that the rules of combat are survival, at any costs. At the moment, you are a valuable commodity. That is no longer true if you were to escape. Furthermore, you seem to believe that the Goddess makes you invincible. It is not the truth. She can be taken from you, like any other weapon if you are weak enough.” He turned. “And you are weak, Kita Miyamoto, and vulnerable.”

Ignoring his statement she giggled again and fell over on the couch, stretching out making herself comfortable as she laid on her stomach, folding her arms under her head. One of her legs came up as she started to twirl her foot at the ankle. "So..." She started as she then pulled a hand from under her head lifting a hand to the pins in her hair and pulled them out, letting her hair down.
"What does he want me for now? He knows I can't open the Godly gate. It has been found that it would kill me and Sumi before I even got it open." She rolled over to her side and looked at Ulquiorra a wide silly smile on her face.
"Wait!" Her hand shot up with a show of a flat palm in the Espada's face, she had interrupted Ulquiorra as he opened his mouth to speak. "Let me guess." She rolled over to her back and started playing with the hair that rested over one shoulder. "He wants me to help him with his new task. Let me think..." she grew silent for a moment as she heard Ulquiorra move, her eyes went quickly to him, he was moving toward her.
"I know!!" She shot up on the couch and stood in front of him, both hands went to his shoulders as she shoved him back away from her. "Last I heard the Bastard was in Hell." Her hands went to her hips as she leaned forward and got in Ulquiorra's face. "He must want me to help him free more assholes like you onto the realms."
Ulquiorra growled and went to grab her as she spun quickly to get away from him, but she wavered and almost fell to the couch. Swiftly she corrected herself and pushed off the couch where she caught herself to get away from Ulquiorra. She then started a path toward his open balcony. "Well... It won't work. I can't do it. So you can sprout your little bat wings and fly off to wherever he is and tell him he is S.O.L."
She stepped out on the balcony and turned leaning back on the rail as she started to giggle again. "And if you don't know what S.O.L means..." she looked over at his book case then back to him. "Look it up." She giggled again and turned her back to him as she looked over the sands of Hueco Mundo.

Ulquiorra could feel his irritation rise at the vessel’s clear inebriated state. If he were to accomplish anything in her current state, he would have to work with what she was sprouting and not his agenda. And it would be better to speak succinctly and to the point. He turned the ring over in his pocket and then removed his hand. “Your first order of business, woman, is to eat.” He waved at the table with a tray of food. “That is for the sake of your health. And if you don’t do it yourself, I will force feed it to you. Furthermore, you will face consequences for disobedience.”

Kita's eyes lit up when she looked to the tray of food. She had to admit she was hungry. She had not eaten since the day before. Making her way back into the room she walked over to the tray and sat down in the chair provided. She plucked one of the grapes from the vine that held it in place and popped it in her mouth.
She then looked to Ulquiorra as he moved toward her. A hand came up as she pointed at him. Swallowing quickly she spoke. "You can stay over there." Her eyes drifted to her hand when she did not see the glimmer of her wedding ring on her finger. Her hand drew back quickly as she opened her hand and looked at her bare finger. It lowered slowly as did the sandwich she had in her other hand.
"Where is it?" She looked to Ulquiorra. "Which one of you assholes has my wedding ring from Seto? I want it back! NOW!"

Ulquiorra pointed to the tray. “You will eat and then we will discuss your marriage. After I receive my answers you can have your trinket back. Not before.” Kita opened her mouth to speak. The Espada’s eyes narrowed as he cut her off. “Defy me and I will throw it to the sands below us and you will never see the useless thing again.” He pointed to the sandwich. "Now eat.”

Kita shot up out of the chair about to retort as Ulquiorra turned, his hand sliding into his pocket as he started a path toward the balcony. "NO!" Kita screamed. "Please... I will eat." She slowly sank back into the chair and picked up her sandwich, taking a bite.
She sat there in silence and ate her meal, Ulquiorra standing before her for a few minutes before he turned, taking his own seat at his bookcase. He lifted a book he was reading hours before cracking the spine to continue as he waited for her to finish her meal.

After a while, he realized she had stopped and was waiting with her hands in her lap. He closed his book and approached her. “Have you eaten enough?” he asked. She nodded. “For yourself and the children?” She repeated the motion. Ulquiorra lifted the wedding band from his pocket and lifted the ring into the air. “What is it that this stands for, woman?”
She looked to her wedding ring as it dangled before her. "It symbolizes a never-ending circle of eternal love."
"To whom does this pledge go to, woman?"
"Seto. Seto Tetsuya." Kita replied as she stood and reached for the ring.
"Don't you mean Vale Tervaden, the lover of your best friend?"
Kita's hand fell to her side as she looked into the eyes of the Espada. "Yes, but she could not give Seto want he sought from a woman."
"Then you claimed him for your own because you wanted him?"
