Kin paused with a heavy sigh from his younger brother's words. He let the book close as he lifted it back up and slid it back onto the shelf where it belonged. The image of his mother's tears and depressed mood after their father's death crossing his thoughts. This last few weeks he had never seen his mother happier that if she was with their father again. He looked to his younger brothers, a smile slowly forming across his lips.
"You're right. Mother's happiness is the most important. We will cross the bridge of the clan when it comes and when it does. No matter if it stays Masanobu or changes to Kuchiki the honor and pride the clan holds will not."
The three younger brothers nodded to their eldest as they all started to smile, Kin starting toward the door as he heard footsteps coming their way. "Sounds like mother is home. Shall we greet her?" The four exited the room to go greet their loving mother.
