Vale fell to his knees as the breath was ripped from his lungs. The form of Juushiro disrupted and shifted until Vale calmed himself again. He was fighting a losing battle and it needed to end. He stood and raised his hand to the form of Juushiro.
Vale's form swung it's blade, driving what remained of the assaulting cloud towards Juushiro. The form grinned and called for the cloud to disperse. The sky quickly cleared, leaving the weakened Juushiro and Vale's form in the clearing. It extended it hand towards Juushiro, hand open. "...Die, Juushiro." It made and fist. And, as quickly and as suddenly as it dispersed, Chinmoku's cloud reappeared and slammed into Juushiro from all sides. The fragments pierced his body like knives. "Die."

Nori's eyes widened. "Ban-kai!" Nori called out. "Ryūja no mai," She looked to Kyoraku. "GO COMMANDER! BUT KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN!" Kyoraku nodded and was gone from her side.
Nori directed her fans at the cloud, capturing the back of the form in her funnel. Slowly it sucked it inward the fragments diminishing. With a flick of her wrist a second funnel formed, then a third a fourth appearing quickly with it. Soon the cloud was trapped between her wind funnels as it sucked it inward.
Vale's fowl and rude words echoed through the division walls as the cloud thinned. Still fighting against the funnels Vale turned his cloud on Nori.
"BITCH! YOU CAN'T STOP ME!!"
The cloud leached forward pulling against her funnels to become free.
Nori grinned, "Watch me! Kaze no dansā!" She called out as razor sharp arches of wind ripped through the cloud. The cloud parted into many sections, trying to reform as yet another bladed arched ripping through it again and again.
An agonizing growl filled the air, then everything went silent as the containment void covered the sky above them. Now, only the sound of Nori's wind whipped around them. She then calmed the wind, cleaning up the rest of Chinmoku's cloud as it now was completely engulfed in her funnels.
"It's done."
She turned to see Kisuke behind her.

As the wind died down, Shunsui moved from defending his friend to helping him. He caught Juushiro, who was bleeding from several injuries and coughing fitfully. Blood trickled from his mouth, making Shunsui frown deeply. He couldn’t tell if it was from the battle or if it was his illness. His arm tightened around his shaking form. “You pushed yourself too far, old friend,” he murmured softly, slowly lowering himself to the ground to ease the pressure on his friend’s body. “I had –to,” Juushiro coughed, lifting a hand to his mouth, trying to calm his hacking coughs. “It’s – my fault – he’s around still.”
“If that were the case, I’m sure Yama-jii would have had your hide, Juu-chan,” Shunsui responded, pulling out a handkerchief to wipe his mouth.
Juushiro chuckled painfully, eyes dull with pain, then shook his head. “If I had defeated him, he would have been gone. Yamamoto… Sensei wouldn’t have guessed that he wouldn’t appear again. And now… of all times.”
"And if we had killed Sousuke when we had the chance, we wouldn't have this second war on our hands," the commander retorted calmly. Shunsui closed his eyes. “Pushing yourself won’t erase the ghosts we have to deal with, Juushiro."

Shunsui’s exhausted voice reached through the seeping depression that had hit the ailing captain. His hand fisted and he closed his eyes. “Sorry, Shunsui, I forgot that aspect of his zanpakuto. If one isn’t paying attention, it can linger after his attack.” He smiled quietly. “I don’t care about his vendetta with me, but I wouldn’t let him hurt others, especially the healers who spend their lifetimes saving lives, not taking them.” Shunsui shook his head wryly. “Now that’s more like the reckless white knight we know.” His brow furrowed. “Juu-chan, the blood-“
“-Isn’t what you are fearing,” Juushiro finished for him, leaning back against his friend and breathing shallowly. “It’s only from internal wounds from the skirmish.”
Shunsui rolled his eyes again. “Hardly something trivial, Juu-chan.”
Juushiro chuckled. “I will be alright. I just need rest and maybe some help from Naomi.” He closed his eyes.

Kisuke walked over to the two and kneeled next to Juushiro on the other side of him. He adjusted his hat and looked down at him a slight smirk across his lips. "You're determined to have Kyoraku and Kotetsu strap you to a bed yet, aren't you?"
He turned looking over his shoulder as Nori walked up with Isane, he stood letting her in next to Juushiro to do her thing. When he back way he looked to Noir and smiled. "Good job there Windy."
Nori crossed her arms and looked at him. "Windy, huh?"
Kisuke's smirk grew as he adjusted his hat again. "Well I could call you something elses with the way you handled that cloud, but I like living."
Nori narrowed her eyes as Kisuke took a quick step back, his fan popping out of nowhere as he hid behind it.
"I am going to see Captain Kurotsuchi. We need something to keep the fragments in."
Kisuke waved as Nori turned and walked away. "Bie bie, Captain Mutsu, again good job."

Isane shook her head, shaking her head at her most troublesome patient, as she examined his body with her powers. “I think Urahara may be onto something, Ukitake-san. Strapping you to bed seems much better for your health than leaving you in a room unattended for a few minutes.” The kindly captain chuckled, eyes still closed. “I am sorry, Isane, but you were needed in defending your people more than taking on intruders.”
“And you were in a shape to be fighting him?” she murmured in turn. She sighed and lowered her hands. “One of these days, I am going to figure out how to get you to listen to me, not make another good reason for reckless behavior.” She lifted herself off the ground and smiled at the commander. “He’s alright to be moved now, but since you are here, will you carry him back to his room? I would prefer he not move until I have spent more time on him and Kato-chan has offered her services.”

The Captain Commander chuckled and tilted his hat at Isane. "I can handle that," he assured her before carefully lifting his wounded friend upwards. "It's not like I am not used to this by now," he continued with a larger grin on his face. By the time he had situated Juushiro, his friend had fallen asleep, still smiling. Shunsui looked to the healer and winked. "Shall I carry both of you, Isane-san?"
The healer shook her head again. "You're one of a kind, commander," she stated at her dullest. She turned to lead them around the damaged wings. "But then again, if you weren't, Ukitake-san would have had to fight alone. Does that excuse you, I wonder."
Shunsui laughed and followed her inside, his eyes softening as he murmured after her. "I think I need him more than he needs me."

Post by Captain Tsukiro Ashimitsu on Mar 23, 2015 20:05:04 GMT -6
"Incomparable":Tsukiro walked out from one of the adjoining rooms of Fourth Division, Naomi at his side. His hands and arms were bandaged up past his elbows from the burns he acquired while digging for survivors and the dead in the rubble of the explosion. He was grateful for the fire finally extinguishing its self or whatever it had done. He had to admit, it was strange how it just suddenly went out for whatever reason, it was like someone flipped a switch on it like a light in a room. It was odd, but he was sure there was a reason and a logical one behind it. He was just grateful it has stopped burning. Now it was all a matter of cleaning up and finding any others they had over looked in the damage left behind. Everyone was exhausted and anyone left in the debris was running on borrowed time. They had to be found or more loss of life would plague the Soul Society. Something none of them wanted. He looked from his hands, looking to the exhausted Naomi walking beside him. Side stepping slightly he playfully bumped into her with a bright smile. “Thanks for healing and bandaging my injuries, Naomi.” She giggled softly and playful shoulder bumped him in return. “Not a problem. I just wish I could do more for you.”Tsukiro chuckled lifting his arm and resting it over her shoulders as he lightly kissed her temple. “You do more for me then you could imagine.” Hearing voices coming their way Naomi and Tsukiro looked ahead of them and Captain Kotetsu, Captain Hitsugaya and Kita walked around the corner from an adjoining hall. Tsukiro’s eyes locked with Kita’s as his chest tightened and his arm that was around Naomi slid down from her shoulders, he quickly broke eye contact with her casting his look to the floor. As they past in the hall Kita greeted him in a most formal, but informal way. “Hello Captain Ashimitsu.” She said with a slight bow of her head.Tsukiro stop in his path, her greeting causing his chest to tighten more. His head started to shake slowly as he lowered it down, his fist clenching at his sides. “Please don’t do that, Kita.” He mumbled, “I am and always will be Tsuki to you.” He turned to look at her as Kita had stopped walking as well. Slowly she turned and looked to him as he walked up to her. “What did you say Captain Ashimitsu?” She asked not hearing what he has said to her.He paid no mind to his former Captain as he stepped past him in front of Kita. He was still enraged at him for what he had done to Kita days before and it was not something he was going to forget so easily. Tsukiro smiled through his breaking heart as he cupped her cheeks with his hands and looked into her eyes. “Tsuki. Please. I know I am a Captain now, but I ne--” he shook his head, his smile widening as he looked into her bright blue eyes. “Call me Tsuki. Please. I have always been Tsuki to you. I don’t want that to ever change.” He leaned forward and placed a lingering kiss to her forehead.

Kita smiled as she placed her hands to his arms letting her arms hang down, she leaned back from his kiss and smiled. "If that is what you want. I just did not want to seem disrespectful. You are a Captain after all, and we are in the Soul Society."
Tsukiro shook his head still looking in her eyes. "It don't matter where we are. I love hearing you call me Tsuki. It warms my heart." He kissed her forehead again.
Giggling softly Kita shook her head and took his hands from her face. "What happen to you?" She asked looking at the bandages on his hands and arms.

Tsukiro looked to his bandaged arms and hands again and smiled. "It's nothing. Just a few burns." He turned and looked to Naomi then back to Kita. "Naomi healed and bandaged me so they would not get infected." He brushed a few stray hairs from Kita's face.
"What are you doing here, and of all times? Its dangerous."

Kita lowered her hands from Tsukiro's arms as he captured her hand in his. "I was brought in so Sumi could help heal the Captain Commander. He was in pretty bad shape." Kita told him.
Tsukiro looked to Isane quickly. "How is he? I heard rumors floating around that he was dead."
Isane shook her head. "No. Thanks to this young lady being blessed with the Seraph." She lifted her hand and rested it to Kita's shoulder. "She saved his life. If it were me, I would still be healing him and not even have him halfway healed. She is a true God send."
Kita shook her head quickly. "It was not me. It was all Sumi."
Tsukiro turned and looked to Kita caressing her cheek gently with his thumb as he smiled. "Maybe so, but you do have the right to tell someone no. So by rights you did save the Commander. Thank you, he means a lot to us."
Kita only smiled blushing slightly. "I would never turn my back on my friends. No matter how great their needs are. And you are welcome."

Tsukiro looked between Kita and Isane as he asked, "can I help you with something?"
Isane chuckled softly, "only if you want to make a couple of beds."
Tsukiro smiled and looked to Kita. "If its for my girl I will do anything." He smiled brightly and gently squeezed her hand. "So I guess you're staying the night?" Kita nodded as Tsukiro's eyes drifted to Toshiro. "I hope you're not putting them in the same room?"

Isane gave Tsukiro a questioning look, "we are limited on space, Captain Ashimitsu. I don't see a problem putting the two of them together. Captain Hitsugaya is an upstanding Captain and a gentlemen. Kita will be perfectly safe."
Kita tilted her head and gave Tsukiro a wide eyed look. "That was not a nice thing to say about your fellow and former Captain, Tsukiro."
"I don't trust him after what happened between you two not long ago." Tsukiro voiced his eyes hardened.
"I am sorry you feel that way Captain, but right now there is no other way." Isane explained.

Tsukiro sighed combing his bandaged fingers through his hair. "I understand that Captain Kotetsu. I just don't trust him. You know why." Tsukiro looked to Toshiro as he was writing something on a note pad with a frustrated look on his face. It was then Tsukiro noticed something different about him. First he had been too quiet and the other. He was human?
Tsukiro eyes widened at this finding as he watched Toshiro past the note pad to Kita as she read it. Tsukiro peeked over looking at the note, his face contorting onto a smirk.
"ME?! Jealous! Of YOU!" He laughed, "I am about as jealous of you with Kita as I am of..." Tsukiro paused and thought for a second. "As I am of Juushiro with Kita."
Toshiro's look became scowl as he crossed his arms over his chest in a huff and looked away. Tsukiro laughed again and looked to Isane once more. "I guess that will be fine, but I want to know what room they are in. I want to be able to check in on Kita when I can."

Post by Lt. Kairo Namori on Mar 23, 2015 22:31:23 GMT -6
A commotion in the next room halted their conversation as Kairo came down the hallway with two stealth members aiding a slumped over man.
"Father!" Naomi cried out, running over. She touched his shoulder.
"I'm alright, my dear," Shota Kato murmured, raising his bruised, bloody head with difficulty. "It's just a scratch."
Kairo chuckled and set a hand on Naomi's shoulder. "Someone said I would find you here, bubblehead. Think you can keep your father out of trouble?
"How bad-" Kairo hugged her before she could voice her worries.
"He'll be fine if you can keep him down," Kairo explained with a chuckle. "I had our medic look at him when the timber fell on his shoulder and glance off the back of his head." He looked over to his officer. "But he keeps trying to join the rescue efforts so I decided I had to put him on some kind of house arrest."
Naomi looked from Kairo to her father. "Dad...."
Shota sighed and the men supporting him snickered as his daughter took command of their stubborn comrade.
Kairo chuckled and turned to the others. "I think that will keep him off the list of either miraculously healed or bedrest for a week. I apologize for sending him here, Captain Kotetsu."
