"An End to an End": (continued) The guards bowed as the commander returned in the morning hours, but one look at his stern face kept them from voicing any of the normal greetings. Their leader was not happy. Shunsui ignored them as he continued on his way back to his office, eyes stormy with scarcely concealed rage. Vale Tervaden had stepped too far this time. His new espada had brought Juushiro's body back in time to where stress from grief and guilt tripled the agony of his illness' attack. His friend was now in intensive care, fading in and out of consciousness with each wrenching cough, and so he would for at least another days or so. Until his energy had calmed enough to start fighting back. How would his friend handle one of the worst losses' in his life a second time? Shunsui was not sure. He pushed into his office, frowning at the silence, but soon recalled that Nanao was in Fourth Division with Hinamori. At least with this attack, all who were now in that division were under a powerful barrier, created by Isane and himself. The enemies would not be returning for a second round against those there easily. The commander set his hat on a table and moved to his desk, searching out some mild sake. He took a few sips, closed the bottle, and started penning defense plans, starting with a long list of requirements for a new security system for the 12th division. In his mind, he considered enlisting Kisuke to create more powerful protections for any who had been targeted in the past, in the form similar to the bracelet they'd created for Yumiko. There was also the possibility of his friend recovering faster if Yumiko or Naomi were allowed to watch over him. A hell butterfly coming in disturbed his contemplations, and his controlled fury spiraled upwards again. Kita Miyamoto's parents were murdered by Vale Tervaden's lackeys. He glared at his draft of plans. And then heard a knock. He sighed. Folding the draft of his plans for 12th division and hiding it in the secret compartment of his desk, he bade the person enter.

Tsukiro stepped up to the Captain Commander's office. knocking on the door as he waited for the Commanders stern voice to grant him entry. When he did Tsukiro entered closing the door behind him stopping in front of his desk. He bowed to his Commander.
"Good afternoon Commander, I hope that Captain Ukitake is feeling better after yesterdays invasion of the Espada."

The commander sighed again. "Unfortunately, that is not the case. I have yet to send out the butterflies with the news, but the situation with his illness is dire. He will be relieved of his position as a captain until further notice, and one of the other captains will aid Lieutenant Kuchiki in his stead."

Tsukiro sighed closing his eyes then opening them again to the sad expression on the Commander's face. "I am sorry to hear that, Commander, but I have faith in him. I have always believed that Captain Ukitake was the strongest of all the Captain in the Gotei." He sighed inwardly seeing the Commander so torn up, but he fully understood why.
"I will have to stop by and visit him. Maybe some chocolates will cheer him up." He gave the Commander a reassuring smile.

The commander chuckled. "I doubt he will be allowed to enjoy your chocolates, but the thought behind them will indeed help." His eyes narrowed, again reminded what the espada had forced him to live through again. "Especially now."
He leaned back in his seat. "You look like you are on a mission, Baby Captain. What is the reason for your visit beyond inquiring to your favorite peer?"

Sighing again Tsukiro looked at his Commander. "I am sorry to bring this to you now Commander, but I feel this needs to be placed into motion and pushed until it takes effect."
Kyoraku raised a brow looking at Tsukiro wondering where he was taking this conversation. "What are you getting at, Captain?"
"Ichimaru Gin. I believe it would be wise to have him placed under arrest and tried under a court of his peers. This was his second betrayal toward us. He can not be trusted. He is a liability to the Soul Society and all existence."

Shunsui chuckled shortly. “Trust you to bring up the one thing I have not wanted to put into effect.” He lowered his head and then raised it. “I will address that matter at another time. Right now, we owe Kita Miyamoto a great debt for her suffering. I will wait on Gin Ichimaru’s fate a little longer.”
His eyes narrowed slightly at the young captain. “And if you are thinking of going ahead of me and to Central, be aware of two things, young man. Kita is in pain right now. Any more might destroy her.” He paused. “Her parents were slaughtered last night, probably at the same time Ukitake was targeted. Think of what is more important.”
And secondly, Central is tricky. Don’t go there unless you have all the cards. And I mean, ALL the cards. They will have questions for you before they even let you address them on your small matter. Keep that in mind before you dance with them.”

Tsukiro felt a rage building inside as he looked to his Commander. He was not sure if it was because the Commander was pushing an important matter aside or if it was from the news of Kita's parents being killed. Either way he spoke his mind trying to keep his rage under control.
"But there is no guarantee when Ichimaru will come from his coma. What happens if he wakes and he has not changed? Aizen aside. Ichimaru is dangerous." Tsukiro's voice raised slightly, "where does that leave us if we do not act now?"

Shunsui raised an eyebrow at his vehemence. “Are you telling me that your teachers, Yoruichi and Kisuke, couldn’t handle Ichimaru? Or Sumi?” He folded his arms. “There is also Kurosaki in that town. If Ichimaru wakes and has turned again, they can handle him.”
He sighed again. “Make no mistake, Ashimitsu, even if the man has changed, it is my duty to judge him for his crimes. It will happen, but right now, I don’t intend to be the piece that will break that girl’s heart. Waiting on judging a man who is still in a coma is not something that will harm us. Rushing it, may.”

Tsukiro gave a frustrated sigh, his rage not subsiding, he needed to retreat before he was reprimanded for his actions. Turning from the Commander he stepped toward the door quickly. "I understand."
He reached for the handle as the Commander called to him stopping him before he had the chance to leave.

“Just because you have become a captain does not mean you discard the other roles of your life, Ashimitsu. Now, you need to be a friend.” Dismissing the new captain with a nod, he rose from his desk and walked to the balcony, his eyes narrowing at the damage still apparent.

Tsukiro looked at the Commander as he walked across the floor his eyes slightly narrowing. "That's what I was trying to be, but my request was denied, sir." He turned opening the door. "Kita has always been the first and foremost important thing in my life. Why do you think I made it this far?" He walked out closing the door behind him. Leaving the Commander to himself.

"Last Shot I": (continued) Alister opened a gate in the office of the Captain Commander. Tervaden stepped out of the gate behind him. "Tell me, Tervaden, the answer to the question you didn't answer back in the Throne Room. What purpose does this serve?" Alister allowed the gate to close behind he and Tervaden. He leaned against the wall as he watched as Tervaden sat on the Captain Commander's desk.

Vale crossed his arms over his chest, as he sat on the desk. "I just want to talk to Shunsui. we have quite a bit to talk about." He looked to the god. "Quite a bit has passed in the last few weeks. Inoue coming back pregnant, Hinamori's return, the death of Kita's parents, the attack of the Sickly Prick...Plenty to talk about."

Shunsui wandered back towards his office, scratching his head as he laid out the situations before him. Anger had faded away to weary forbearance, his mind turning from finding blame to weathering the storm and contemplating how best to retrieve the upper hand. It wouldn’t be easy with what Juushiro had confirmed.
Juushiro had finally regained consciousness and had been able to talk a little bit. He would still be staying in the Fourth Division intensive wing for at least another week, but thanks to the work of Isane, he was no longer in danger, still extremely weakened. A little later in the week, he would be ready for the warming healing powers of his fourth seat, Naomi-chan. That would be a huge relief to all.
However, he still had his news to contend with. Ayakashi. Hollows higher than espada and with even worse powers. One had erased five people from existence by turning back their time and had forced his friend into a worse time. What were their other powers?
Setting a hand on his door, his thoughts ceased. Something was different. And he would bet on Yama’s grave that it wasn’t friendly.
Stay over there, Nanao-chan, he murmured.
And opened the door.
He tilted his hat upwards. “What does the new big bad wolf want with the captain of Soul Society?” he asked, tone cordial, his eyes anything but.
