The Captain Commander tilted his head up at his new guest. “Sensei Satoshi Tetsuya. To what do I owe this visit? I thought we had exhausted our opinions of each other and the options for a peaceful outcome a couple days ago. If not, then please take a seat. It’s always good to have a second opinion.”
Kyoraku went on to explain their meeting and the man’s relationship to Vale Tervaden, and Juushiro held out his hand to the teacher. As they both sat down again, Shunsui turned his focus back to Tetsuya. “You made a good point, Sensei, but your argument has one tiny flaw." He waved his hand and took another drink from his sake saucer. "It's not something I can blame you for, though. Your knowledge is incomplete since you don’t know the players as well as I do.”
He tipped his hat. “The fact you're missing is this. There are now two Uraharas in Las Noches. Two slippery, devious raccoons. And with the right distraction, they’ll wiggle out and cause hell.” He winked. “The distraction of a raid not unlike the first little excursion could work really well."

Satoshi shook his head as he laid his crutch to the floor. "Your hope lies with a child? A child who is, undoubtedly frightened and without his zanpakuto. An Urahara or not, that is a foolish place to rest you hope."
Sighing heavily, Satoshi looked to Captain Ukitake. "Consider your own words. If they have Kisuke Urahara, Kita Miyamoto and Gin Ichimaru then Aizen has all that he needs. All other persons there...It can be assumed that they are serving as entetainment and collateral.

Juushiro sighed. “I think Shunsui was trying to find a way to cheer up about this difficult situation, though I do agree that if given the chance, Kenji could do something small. Even defenseless, he wouldn’t let Sojiro go into Las Noches alone this time, probably clinging to Tervaden’s leg the whole trip. Yes, it means that Kenji and Sojiro are collateral for their parents, but that also means that nearly Kita’s whole family and a good chunk of those Kisuke will fight for have been put in danger.”

The commander leaned back in his chair. “As Juu-chan explained, I wasn’t putting my hope in Kenji Urahara. I was mentioning his spirit before putting forth my actual plan of causing a distraction. The raid did help our cause for a while in the first war, even if it did separate our forces for a while. Perhaps a similar offense will help again.” He looked to the zanjutsu teacher. “What are your suggestions since your way with words keeps correcting my wonderful roundabout way of strategy?”

"My suggestion may be a hard one to understand." Satoshi shook his head, leaning forward and taking his crutch from the floor. He rose slowly, tucking the crutch beneath his arm.
"Mounting an assault of any kind endangers all you care for in Las Noches. Therefore, my suggestion is simple. Do nothing."
Satoshi walked toward the door of the office, slowly. "I apologize if my words do nothing to calm the raging storm looming over the realms. But, to protect them, we must allow them to make this journey on their own."
The Commander shifted in his chair, sighing heavily. "And, how long would you wait?"
Satoshi sighed. "Until the first of them comes home."
"So, you suggest I leave them?" asked the Commander.
"For now..." Satoshi shook his head, forcing the door open with his crutch. "For now." He left the office, leaving the Captain Commander and Captain Ukitake to ponder his suggestion.

Juushiro looked after Tetsuya and then glanced back at his friend, who was shaking his head as he sat back in his chair. “Do you believe he’s saying that in hopes that if we stay away - and the conflict is kept in one place - that his brother will finally find peace?”
Shunsui raised a hand. “I don’t know,” he muttered. “But somehow I doubt it.” He rubbed at the scar above his eyepatch and then lowered it, staring at his friend with both eyes. “I think he’s trying to limit any more loss of life, and to him, that means waiting and letting them suffer until luck gives them a chance.”
“That’s a cruel way to put it,” Juushiro stated.
The commander shook his head. “He see things in black and white. If I don’t punish Ichimaru to the full extent of his crimes, then I cannot punish his brother in the same way. If there is a way before shedding blood, he would take it.” He chuckled. “Kind of a verisimilitude to yourself.”
Juushiro smiled slightly. “There is that. But… I wouldn’t wait in this matter.”

Shunsui sighed. “I can see both sides of the matter. Kita and Yumiko have gone through the hell of Las Noches enough to last both of their lifetimes. Sojiro and Kenji are still young. It’s unfair - no, cruel - to subject them to that hell in the first place. However, Aizen has snared a lot of power in his dark, lofty palace. His ability to control said wells of power, Kita, Ichimaru, Kisuke, Yumiko, is a question only time can answer.” He set a hand on his zanpakuto. “And if we can weaken his army by calming the beast Tervaden - use this kidnapping to our advantage - the high road may be the right way to deal with this.”
“I hate sacrificing so many to this,” Juushiro murmured, lowering his head.
Shunsui reached over and poured him a cup. “If I were only a man and not Gotei’s dragon, I’d wallow in the same thoughts, old friend. It’s always easier to send warriors into battle than to put beauty, purity, and innocence out as bait.”

Juushiro took another sip of sake. “I have to wonder, Shunsui, if we succeed in this, will it be a victory we can be proud of?”
“War’s a grim beast,” Shunsui murmured in response. “There’s always something bitter to swallow at the end.” He paused. “I didn’t really like killing that lazy ass Espada when I did because in another time,” he shrugged, “we might have been the best of friends.” He chuckled. “Then again, he might attract Nanao-chan, and that wouldn’t go down well.”
Juushiro chuckled shortly and then leaned over as his throat caught. He sat up and shook his head slightly at his friend’s narrowed look. “It’s not what you think. Something got caught in my throat.” He rose and walked over to the balcony, observing the life forces humming down below them in harmony, striving to do their best, even as a threat loomed over them. Had loomed over them.
“Shunsui?”
The commander lifted from his seat and walked over to join him. “What is it? Something else on your mind?”
“Alister.”
Shunsui’s eyes narrowed and he scratched at his eye. “What about him?”
The white-haired captain glanced down at their city. “Your desire to wait probably means not testing a certain limit we have.”
“You have,” his old friend interrupted, clarifying. He set a hand on his friend’s shoulder. “I don’t want you risking that until it’s the last resort.” When Juushiro stayed silent, Shunsui’s eyes narrowed. “Alister is one threat, but we still don’t know what will happen with Kita or if Aizen will be able to reach out for his wish. I don’t want to risk you again, my friend. You barely came back the last time.”
Juushiro bowed his head. “I sometimes feel that I should have used Him already. As soon as we realized the threat Alister was becoming - as soon as he used Yumiko’s love to get the bargain he wanted. That day I warned him about touching any of us again….” His hand clenched on the railing. “But as Tetsuya believes, life is precious and so is peace. Dipping into that domain will hurt people, least of all myself.” He sighed again. “I know that. I know the price of using the connection, but it has been a long time since I have felt burdened for not using it.”

Shunsui sighed again. “Just because you have the power, old friend, doesn’t mean you should use it. The Realms themselves were falling apart that time. There were no other options. Now… Now,” he emphasized, “there is still hope around us, and in many places, your voice strengthens that song. Your final flame of courage is not necessary yet.”
As Juushiro’s shoulders heaved in a long breath of relief, Shunsui turned him and made a pouting face. “If you’re so worried for people, will you please save me from more paperwork and then calm a baby captain before he darkens my doorway with more doomsday business? Please?!??!!”

Juushiro laughed, looked outside one more time, before clapping his friend on the back. “Alright, I will help with the paperwork today, and this evening I will talk to Tsukiro.” He fell silent. “And I hope we don’t wait too long. Even if we were prepared for something like this to happen.” “They’re strong people,” his friend offered, over his shoulder, fixing his eyepatch again. “That is what worries me,” Juushiro whispered. “How far will they go - what will they sacrifice - for the final end?” - END RP - "The Panther's Play Toy":

"308" continued:Shunsui entered his office with Tervaden behind him, Nanao behind him. Shunui took a seat on the floor by the balcony, tossing Tervaden a few cushions before leaning back on a few more. Nanao sat at the desk's chair before checking her ink. "Question #1, Tervaden, is this," he murmured, taking a sip of sake. "Why is Yumiko not with you if you were so appalled at her rape?"

Vale's gray eyes grew cold, as they focused on the man before him. He said nothing, as he raised the hand that was cuffed. The Commander shook his head. "I told you not to complain, Tervaden." said the Commander. "You will not wander free." Vale smiled. "No one said anything about wandering." He shook his hand, the chain jingling from the motion. The Commander sighed, rubbing his forehead above his eye patch. "Lieutenant Ise, I relieve you of duty for the evening. Tervaden and I have much to discuss. And, I would like to do so in private." Met with immediate protest, the Commander raised in hand. "This is not open for discussion. Go." Glancing over his shoulder, Vale watched as the angry Lieutenant left the office closing the door behind her. "Do I have to ask again?" Vale raised a brow as he turned and looked to the Commander. The cuff fell from his wrist."Yumiko is still in Las Noches." he answered. "I couldn't bring her with me. I'm going to go back for her. And, you're going to help me." Vale smiled as the Commander sat up giving Vale his attention. The lifted his eye patch, allowing both eyes to focus on Vale. "What do you need me to do?"END RP "Strike of the Cobra":

"Dusk II" (continued):Vale stepped into the dark of the First Division, the floorboard creaking beneath his weight. He looked to the darkest shadow looming around the balcony of the First Division office. Slowly, he walked toward the balcony, his head tilted to its side as he tried to focus on the figure in the dark. A grin formed on Vale's lips, as the figure lurking in the dark became clear. Sitting in a chair overlooking the Soul Society, sat its Captain Commander. "My my, Kyoraku. What have you become?" The man hissed weakly at him as glazed eyes turned toward him. Hissing again, the man turned his head away from Vale. "What's wrong, Kyoraku? Gods got your tongue?"

"Something along those lines, Tervaden." spoke the god, appearing on the balcony behind the shell of the Captain Commander. Placing a hand on each of his shoulders, the god of fire pushed down on the man dragging a dry groan from him.
"He is a shell, at this point. Unable to move or speak for himself." The god walked over to the man's side, lifting one of his dry wrinkly hands.
Vale stepped back. "That explains the smell."
The god of fire chuckled, placing the Captain Commander's hand back to the armrest of the chair. He turned toward the Shinigami. "Has Sousuke Aizen's reign already begun. Hm?" The god folded his arms across his chest. "I suppose you want me to...make this easy?"

Vale chuckled, shaking his head. He crossed his hands over his chest as he began to pace the balcony. "Nothing is ever easy with you, Alister. You like to bargain. And, your price is always higher than the cost of what's being asked for."
"You should expect nothing less, here." the god of fire smiled smugly. "I am fair with my bargains, Tervaden. I favor no man over another. And, while my price is high, it is worth it."
"That is all a matter of perspective. From my end," Vale shook his head. "It's never worth it. But, this is small talk. What is your price?"
