Naomi sighed again giving the best smile she could at the moment. "I am failing my new Captain, Kai. My first real job as his lieutenant and I don't know where I am going or where I have been." She sighed again and looked at the stack of papers she had in her arms.
"How did you do it?" She looked back to Kairo smiling a little more with the tender look he had in his eyes, almost as if he felt sorry for her.

Kairo chuckled and took half of her stack. “I don’t think my way counts. I doubt you’d want to memorize maps almost as soon as you could walk,” he continued, tilting his head at her.
As she frowned, his smile grew. “Don’t worry, most people get lost in this maze. There’s not that much order and the streets cut off at odd turns. That’s true even in the busy shopping district. Really, you have nothing to be ashamed about. Besides,” he winked, “it’s not fun if you’re not getting a little turned around. I can’t save you if you figure it out.”

Naomi smiled in earnest at him this time as she adjusted the now lesser stack of papers in her arms. "I am not going to call you my hero just yet. Plus, a girl's hero don't pick on her and give her nicknames like Bubblehead." She titled her head at him with a raised brow.
"Now do they?" She smiled warmly at him and gave him a playful shoulder bump as they started to walk off together.

“Are you telling me you don’t like your adorable nickname, Naomi?” Kairo called out as they walked down the street. He turned around to stand in front of her and held his free hand over his heart. “I’m hurt and here it suited you so well.”

"Maybe..." Naomi said veering to his right and quickly shimmying around him. She tilted her head back at him and smiled as he spun in place to look at her. "I mean after all, how would like if I called you Buster Cherry."
Naomi chuckled as Kairo blinked at her in disbelief.

Finally, he gathered his wits about him and chuckled again. "Now I really am hurt, Naomi," he murmured. "First, you don't let me call you by my favorite nickname and then, of all the insults you can come up with, you call me a ladykiller." He leaned towards her. "Haven't I always been a complete gentleman with you?"

"Well~..." Naomi started, "If making suggestive comments and looks counts as a gentlemen." She looked his way and smiled playfully. "Yes, you have been a perfect gentlemen." Before Kairo could defend himself, she chuckled softly and shoulder bumped him again.
"Though your comments and looks make me blush. They do make me feel good about myself... So thank you."

"You are very welcome, Bubblehead~" Kairo grinned in reply, green eyes twinkling. He turned his head down and took the lead, moving down the street. "I think I will start this tour before you get all flustered and fall into my lap. I would hate for you to be 'suggesting' something out here in the open," he purred, tone completely contradicting with his laid-back pace.

Naomi shoved him softly in the back as he walked in front of her. "If anyone is going to be 'suggesting anything' it will be you, and falling into your lap will be totally accidental on my part." She then picked up her pace, leaning forward and getting close to his ear as she spoke softly.
"That is unless you can sweet talk me." She quickly pulled back like nothing was said or done, a coy smile across her lips as she looked around the area. "And I don't see that happening."

“I didn’t know you had a cruel side, Naomi-chan~” Kairo noted in return. His green eyes continued to twinkle at their fun but he easily hid the smirk at the challenge she had put to him. He tilted his head in the right direction. “Come on, this way. It seems some papers go to the Merchant’s House.“ As she followed him, her face screwed up in concentration. Smiling, Kairo pointed out a few stands that always set up in the same position and could act as landmarks in the winding maze. As she nodded, Kairo continued with his plotting.

Walking along following behind Kairo, Naomi stopped at a cross section as Kairo kept moving forward. She looked down the one cross section then back at Kairo. "Don't we need to go down this way?"
She flipped through the first few files looking at what she had in her arms. When she could not find what she was looking for she stepped toward Kairo where he stopped. "Trade me." She offered up her stack taking his as she looked thought it. "Hm?" She hummed looking at him. "Where did it go?"

"What are you looking for?" Kairo asked, standing at her side and momentarily distracted from his ideas with her confusion.

Naomi switched files with him again digging through her arm full once more. "I had a note with all that places on it I had to go so I would not have to dig though each file as I went." She then blushed a deep red, quickly closing the file she had just opened. She looked to Kairo quickly and started to walk away.
"I think we should get going. Time is running out and the party is going to start soon." She said in a rush of words her steps just as quick to move forward.

Kairo quickly stepped up to her, grabbing her shoulder and pulling her to a halt. “Calm down,” he said. “There’s still time, and ladies have the right to arrive late.” He took the whole stack of files from her and started to thumb through them. A small piece of paper slipped free. “There we go,” he said. “It was just sticking to the forms. Loose paper does that.”
Naomi frowned and crossed her arms. “I knew that,” she muttered, picking up the piece of paper. "But it doesn't change the fact that I now have no idea how this piece of paper corresponds to where we’re at.”
Kairo chuckled, handed her the stack of papers, and then looked at the map. “Well, I do,” he grinned at her. As she scowled, he flicked her nose. “How about this? You take the stack that goes to the Merchants House while I deliver the rest? You can owe me later, but that way you will have time to get ready for the party. And don’t worry, now that you’re on this road, it’s the biggest house you see. Even a pretty bubblehead can’t miss it.”

Naomi blushed at his last statement, looking away from him. "I will make you some cookies," was what she blurted out, but that was not what she was thinking as she looked back at Kairo with a sly look and soft rosy cheeks. She clutched the files to her breasts.
"Thank you, Kai. Your a real life saver." Naomi told him.
