Makino smiled. "Well I have a helper and if we do this right we can get those Nobles to the silent auction without suspicion. The public auction will be publicized throughout the Seireitei. We can just make sure the silent auction is by invitation only, ask me if I care if someone gets butt hurt if they are not invited to the silent auction." The two chuckled for a moment as Makino then continued. "And if anything remains from the silent auction it will roll over to the public."
"To mix things up a little since you're worried there might be questions about this. We can invite some of the lower nobles to the silent auction or ones that have donated to the Academy to help out in the past."

Nodding, Riku sat back down. "I'm still worried. The public auction might be enough to attract the weaker thieves guilds. I will make sure none of them get in." Then he smiled and bounced in his seat. "So, when are we going to pick out things from your mother's gallery?"
Makino giggled. "Well we need to get fliers made and it is too much to do in the middle of the week so..." she paused. "This weekend?"
Riku's excitement tripled and he jumped up and spun around. "Great! I can help with fliers so it'll go quicker! I know a really good printing and inking shop in the marketplace. I can get a great discount on a large stack. Hell I can even pay for them if the Fall Festival is short on funds."

Makino sighed and nodded slowly. "Lets just say its in a mess right now. I will know more in a few days." She lifted her hands both had her fingers crossed. "Fingers crossed I don't find a bigger mess then."
Riku was about to ask as she halted him with a quick shaking of her head. "Not here." She looked toward the entrance of the field as more students filed in. "If you want to come by my room after classes we can talk more and I will explain what is going on a little better in detail for you." She smiled widely at him. "It can be like old times. Drag Soji-kun along with you and we can have dinner and chat about all this. I think I can even get Allura there. She is my other helper."

Riku nodded, smiling brightly. "Of course. I'd really like that. We haven't had dinner together in a while." He held out his hand to Makino to help her up. He smiled at her once more. "I promise I won't let you down with this. It'll be ten times more successful than you can imagine!" Makino giggled at his enthusiasm. "I know you won't." The two of them went back onto the field as class started to come together. Makino ended up helping Riku out with his Kido skills after he told her about Ryusuke and his challenge to him, as well as the book. After classes were over, they parted ways until later. -- END RP -- "Father and Son":

"More Surprises":Yumichika stood in the center of the courtyard used for the advanced class of Kido, setting up dummies for the first part of his lesson. But that wasn't all. He had some wooden boards and bales of hay. It was to be more hands on and the students were to consider the landscape around them today. Not just their opponent. It would serve as a good starting point for those about to leave on a certain training mission too. A chiming by his ear caused him to turn. A hell butterfly was drifting around him. "Interesting," he murmured, raising his hand. The insect alighted on his finger and Yumichika ran a hand through his newly conditioned hair. A visit from the Commander today? The butterfly flew off and Yumichika set a hand on his chin and looked at the sky. "Very interesting~" He continued to set things up, wondering what the crafty commander wanted the students for.

Mitsuo entered the Kido class with Makino, Sojiro and Riku in tow. They were right with them but something caused them to fall behind. What he had no clue, he and Makino were in a rather interesting conversation.
“Well you had better hurry there are only two days left until the festival starts. Don’t we have to start set up tomorrow?”
Makino nodded slowly as she looked out across the field seeing Ayasegawa. She waved, Ayasegawa returning her wave with a bright smile plastered across his face. She turned back to him.
“So what are you thinking about going as?” Mitsuo asked her.

Makino looked ahead of them once more watching where she was walking so not to stumble over anything or anyone in the class. “I have looked at a few costumes, but the ones I really took a liking to are the Princess, the butterfly and a belly dancer.”
Mitsuo looked at her in confusion. “A what dancer?” His head shook and before she could explain he started talking again. “No on the Princess, the butterfly might be nice if it is not too containing. You don’t want to feel like your wrapped in a cocoon.” He chuckled. “No pun intended.”
Makino giggled shaking her head, “Sure sure, and the butterfly is rather containing. Its body is one big piece and then it has the large wings. I would have to wear a black long sleeve top and leggings with black slippers, and even black gloves. There is a head piece with antenna and two big black eyes on it.” She looked over at Mitsuo as he was rubbing his neck.
“Sounds like a lot to me.” He grew silent then replied. “Ok so no Princess and--’
“Why no Princess?” Makino asked him.
Mitsuo blinked a few time as he leaned back slightly. “Really? You have to ask that question?”
Makino giggled again. “Well that was the whole reason why I was going to wear it. I figure if I am called that,” she shrugged, “might as well be one. Even if it is for a few days.”
The two laughed for a second as they took their seats. Their conversation continuing as they wait for Sojiro and the others to join them and class to start.

Sojiro's interest piqued at the dazzling giggle of his girlfriend which preceded her next statement about the "belly dancer" outfit.
"Though my new father might have an issue with all the skin put on display with that one~"
Sojiro looked to their teacher -- Ayase seemed to be waiting for someone -- and leaned over to join the conversation. And hopefully preserve Makino's beauty for himself. "Actually, Makino, I have a favor in regards to our costumes during the festival, if you don't mind." Smiling, she tilted her head and waited for him to continue. Mitsuo raised an eyebrow. Probably waiting to tease him. He forged on. "If you don't mind, I want you to wear white, silver, and the lightest blue in fabric you can find."
He took a breath. This might cause a couple reactions, but he had stayed up late after taking Makino home thinking about it. He was set in his decision. "I will still wear the fox mask, like we talked about, but I am going as my father." He paused. "With everything going on and the rumors spilling out after Aizen visited the Gotei, I want to make a statement. I want to challenge the whispers -- and if they approach me, I will have a response for them. Also, I want to trust my family, and my mother's, strength." Expression softening, he took Makino's hand in his. "Will you be Shinso, my father's first companion and the one who will always trust him?"
Eyes deep blue with feeling, he hoped she understood the double meaning of the last statement.

Makino looked to Sojiro his soft violet eyes looking deep into hers. This was something he wanted more than she could understand at this point, but she did understand. How? She did not know, but she did. Her heart clenched that he asked her for something like this as her head nodded slowly.
"I have the perfect kimono for that." Makino told him.
"So you will do it?" Sojiro smiled warmly at her, excitement in his eyes.
"Mhmm," Makino hummed as she kissed his cheek. "It would be an honor to portray your fathers zanpakuto spirit."
Sojiro took her in his arms hugging her tightly. "Other then the clothing? Is there anything else I will need? Shinso is a white five tailed fox, right?"

Standing behind them Jiro looked to Sojiro as he was telling Makino that she would indeed need a few more items for the costume. After Sojiro finished telling her that Jiro spoke up. "I hate to say this. You know I have no issues with you, but don't you think that would be a little disrespectful toward the zanpakuto. I hear some of them are a little touchy." He paused for a second as Sojiro and the others looked his way.
"Also," he gestured toward Makino. "What about the ones that spread these rumors? If Makino dress' up like this what will they start about her? She has more than her own clan's reputation to think about these days." He looked solely at Makino. "You got the Kuchiki reputation to uphold now." His head shook as his hand lifted, his fingers combing through his chocolate brown hair.
"With all this I can see Captain Kuchiki liking the belly dancer costume better. Even if it is a little showy. Portraying a traitorous rogue's zanpakuto spirit might be enough to set the man off."

Sojiro lowered his head slightly to consider this. He wasn’t worried about Shinso. The fox spirit, though prickly with others, adored his family and had kept his mother company when his father had been in a coma. But that wasn’t the only thing Jiro had pointed out. There was Makino and her family to consider.
So far, Captain Kuchiki had been a quiet observer in his relationship with Makino, willing to give him the doubt, and willing to speak on his behalf. “I understand, Jiro. And I don’t wish to antagonize Kuchiki-sama. Or bring dishonor to his family.” Makino squeezed his hand and he looked back to her. “I could ask him, and if he believes it exposes you to ridicule or threatens to bring about harm, then I would withdraw my request. Daichi looks like Shinso in profile sometimes.”
He paused. “Jiro’s right, though. Even if the captain were to allow it, being my girlfriend is one thing. You portraying the spirit of my father’s zanpakuto, one who has caused so much destruction, is something else. It could hurt you.”
“Maki, it’s up to you. I should have considered that and I'm sorry. Please don't feel pressured."

"No!" Makino barked as she looked to Jiro with narrowed eyes. "You know I don't care what others have to say. If they were smart enough to get the facts behind things they would not still feel this way." She grabbed Sojiro's hand as he looked at her.
"I am happy to go as Shinso. Proud even. Let them talk. Let them whisper. Gossip is just a tool to distract people who have nothing better to do from feeling jealous of those few of us still remaining with noble hearts. I won't let that detour me in making this decision."
"What about Byakuya-sama?" Sojiro asked her.
She sighed and looked down at their hands folded together. Her eyes lifted and met his once more. "If he thinks it is a bad idea other than the gossiping." She smiled warmly. "We will think of something else. After all, this is a costume festival. No matter who you are you should be able to dress as whoever or whatever you please."

Shin was in the background listening to all of what was being said as he stepped up with a wide smile across his lips. His hand clamped down on Makino's shoulder. "Good for you Maki-chan. One of things I love about you. You don't let what people say about you or others get to you."
"Because I learn the truth before I judge others and if it is about me or someone I know, I know better because I know the truth. Where the idiots talking don't know their own head from a hole in the ground." Makino replied with a firm attitude.
Shin chuckled. "I think you would look cute as Shinso the five tailed fox." He looked to Sojiro with a serious look. "No kissing her while in costume. People might think your father had something going with his zanpakuto."

Post by Sada Teruo on Jan 13, 2017 18:40:39 GMT -6
Teruo's laughter echoed throughout the Kido field. A gate opened, slowly at first. Then quickly, as Teruo pushed it open. He sonido'd over to the Shinigami Ichimaru, grabbing one of his arms and turning it behind, tearing him away from the young woman in front of him. She screamed and reached out for him, as. Teruo grabbed the boy's other arm. Teruo fired a cero at the young woman as he pulled them far behind the boy's body until the boy screamed out in pain. Teruo grinned at the sound of crack bone and tearing flesh.
Reaching behind him over his head, Teruo grabbed the boy by the chin. He threw the boy over his head and into the gate. Then, as quickly as he had come, Teruo disappeared and the gate closed behind him.

Etsuya came running, his bo staff in hand. "What fresh hell was that?!" he shouted, running over to Makino. "Are you okay? Huh?" Makino nodded, as Etsuya turned and looked around the field. "Is anyone hurt?" No one answered. Etsuya grunted and sat on the ground, laying his bo staff across his lap. "I haven't felt anything like that-" Etsuya's words trailed off as he spotted a guard appear near the entrance of the field.
"Things just keep getting better, doesn't it." he said, pointing to the guard.
