Yumichika gave a cold smirk of his own as the boy paced and threw back an insult towards him. “Let me tell you something, boy. There is a difference between knowledge and wisdom. Perhaps you have one. I admit it was surprising you were able to analyze all of that with his short appearance; however, you still don’t understand what you did wrong. You think you should have known exactly what you’re up against. But you haven’t stopped to consider the human condition.
If people know too much and don’t have a reason why it is that way, then they are liable to crack. And if you really were smart, you would know that. Sada Teruo is stronger than our greatest. He killed our greatest. Do you think that will inspire people to fight? Some truths only hinder human courage and will. And some truths should only be revealed at the right time. That is something you do not understand.”
He turned away. "And until you learn that, Tanahashi, you will only be a lab rat of a scientist, not something greater. Keep that in mind."

Ryusuke froze in his steps and had to think upon the words of his Sensei, "I can agree with you there. But Humans are also very spur of the moment creatures. After all, you cut the pole that your friend was on without thinking at all."
"Yes, I did," Yumichika acknowledged, "but his a member of Eleventh Division. He could take a fall if he were too slow to shunpo to another location. My impulsiveness did not create a big effect. Yours did. If you wish to gain knowledge and be acknowledged for it by more people, you need to learn when to mention the things that you have found out. And when to either stay quiet or speak to a select few about them."
He paused. "For example, you could have joined your friends at Fourth Division and asked about your findings with the select top of your class, not the full gathering, the majority of which were on the edge of panic. Or you could have addressed it in another class, another day, when the fear had faded enough to be faced. Or asked me after class on your own. You are still a student, Tanahashi. You need to remember that and stop to ask why certain facts are not revealed to the populace."
A sly grin slowly appeared across the students face as he began to speak, "I wouldn't have said it if I thought the class was weak. You underestimate me just as much as I do you."

Yumichika’s eyes narrowed again at the return of his cocky grin, but the boy had admitted to underestimating him. Perhaps force wouldn’t be necessary. “Those students who you claim aren’t weak also opened their mouths and leveled one of the worst accusations that I have heard in regards to the Takeover and the captives from Las Noches.”
“Tell me, Ryusuke. Even if it was a ploy to get more detailed information, what would have happened if such a disgusting description of the Goddess’ fate had gotten out?”

The student began to think again, "I'm sorry, Yumichika. But that necessarily isn't my issue. Now is it?" He turned his head, narrowing his eyes to a glare at his Sensei, "My apologies for the negligence of taking that into factor."
He stepped away before the Sensei could speak, his back towards him, "The look on your face says your patience with me was gone a long time ago. You keep questioning me, yet I fire back with my own questions." The cocky grin appeared on his face once again as he turned his head and looked at the pissed off Yumichika.
"Tell me. When will this be check mate on my part so you can shut up?" He kept his back towards him, though keeping a very watchful eye on him at the same time.

Yumichika nearly marched over and beat the boy for that last line but halted at the last minute, an idea coming to mind. “Very well, Ryuusuke Tanahashi, if you think you can treat me as if we are equals as well as dismiss your friends, then you will be staying behind and assisting me in cleaning up today’s routine.” He turned and pointed to the buckets of water. “You can start with carrying the buckets back over to the well and dumping them there. Then I will have another task for you.”

There was a moment of silence between the two before Ryusuke busted out laughing, "Alright. I'll be glad to help. Should've just asked in the first place."
Without hesitation, he hurriedly picked up the buckets and heaved them over to the well. He quickly dumped them and set the buckets to the side, "Whats next, Sensei." He had a very obvious sharp tone to his voice, trying to press his buttons.
"But why are you making me do this?" He turned and rested against the well, "Can't think of any other logical punishments with that brain of yours?"

Yumichika’s hands twitched and he ran a hand through his hair to keep his temper in check. He had a purpose to keeping the boy here, and getting him sent to Fourth Division in a fit of rage — even with the excuse that he was teaching the boy — would not accomplish that.
“You’re quick on your feet as well as with your tongue, aren’t you?” He pointed to the bales of hay. “They go in one of two sheds. You won’t fit them all in one.” He pointed a shed at one corner far to the west of the courtyard against the wall and then pointed to the opposite side.
As the boy moved, he commented, as if to the wind, “And this punishment, as you call it, does have a logical reason. A couple actually. But the main one is if you aren’t going to see why your statement is a danger to your friends, then it would be better for you to stay away from them for a little bit.”

His eyes were still joyful as he looked towards the hay, "Stay away from them? Sorry, Sensei, but I'm rarely near them as is." He started to walk towards him, "I have been alone most of my life. And these friends are just here for the academy. Why yes they do bring meaning into this life. They are also nothing but time wasters and fillers for when you aren't doing something incredibly important."
He stopped when he was in front of the sensei, "Now as you called me a "lab rat", you are right. I spend a lot of time in the lab without thinking about others. You could compare me to Mayori if you wish. But there is a key difference between him and myself," Ryusuke chuckled and spun, quickly firing a powerful Sho at the hay, launching it towards the shed, "He is insane, while I am not, While I say what I say to get where I want to be."
Ryusuke then raised is hand a mere few centimeters away from Yumichika's face, "And no. This is nothing like Aizen." He let out a dark chuckle before dropping his hand, "You are trying to teach me a lesson I already know, Sensei. But frankly, it has no affect on me."
Before the Sensei could react, he walked away and started firing off Shos at the hay, knocking them every which way until they were where they needed to be, "Next."

Walking into the little display between a student and Yumichika, Kisuke and Byakuya paused and watched the show. A guard was standing there as well, watching it with them. Kisuke then inquired from the guard what was going on. He explained to him what Yumichika was trying to do and what the boy was and had done before they arrived. Kisuke nodded slowly, highly impressed with Yumichika and him keeping his cool with the boy, especially, after what the boy just remarked about friends. They all knew the importance of such a thing in one's life, but at their age there was not much they did not realize. As the boy spun again in place, Kisuke adjusted his hat.
"Someone needs a lesson taught to him." He disappeared from Byakuya's side.
At that moment the boy flew across the field and slid to a stop at Yumichika's feet, Kisuke appearing behind the boy as the boy coughed, rolling to his side then to his hands and knees. He coughed a few more times as Kisuke reached down and grabbed the boy by the nap of the neck and lifted him to his feet.
"You have five seconds to apologize to your Sensei and the man know as Division Eleven'ss; Fifth Seat, Yumichika Ayasegawa." He lifted the boy off his feet and shook him slightly. "And you better mean it. Because if you don't, you're going to get a taste of what Sojiro is getting right now with that Monster that took him." He jerked the boy back toward him, a wide and crazy smirk across his lips.
"And if you know who just kicked your ass," he paused and chuckled oh so maniacally, "you know I can make that happen."

He stayed silent for the five seconds before coughing once again, looking towards the Captain Commander, "Well hello, Captain Commander. If you would set me down I will comply."
Kisuke's smirk grew even more as he shook his head. "No. I think I like you right where you are." He then shoved his hand forward and down making the boys knees buckle and go into a knelling bow. he pushed the boys head down with his other hand. "One...Two..."
Ryusuke growled at the sick twisted game that his Commander was playing, "Yumichika Ayasegawa. I apologize for my troubles within this time period," His eyes tightened as the anger started to make his blood boil, the scientist was more than pissed at how his commander was treating him.

Kisuke released the boy and let him stand, he whirled on him, Kisuke standing his ground, but before the boy could speak Kisuke already had. "How does it feel to be belittled, young man?"
"You are implying I have belittled my Sensei. Which no, I have not!" He stepped forward, getting closer to his Commander. There was an obvious wince of pain when he stepped forward, he held his breath to stop a small pain in his chest, "All I have done is pin point his pet peeves and used them to get what I wish."
"Really? Is that really what you have done here? You do realize that if you had pushed the wrong button, Fifth Seat Ayasegawa could have ended your badgering at the blink of an eye? And you do know that if you had been attending your classes all your questions would have been answered. This class has just had the unfortunate pleasure of coming face to face with one of the Monsters, Aizen keeps at his beck and call."

Ryusuke grabbed his chest and took a massive breath in before looking through his hair, a very dark look straight at his Commander, "Captain Commander Urahara. My actions here have resulted in me being slightly injured and treated like a child. Which I can agree that I am only for someone of your power."
He turned as he winced in pain once more, "My actions could only have caused a higher up to come examine why I have caused such a ruckus. My Sensei has enough sense not to end a life right here. This is an academy, not a concentration camp."
He let out a dark chuckle before continuing his little conversation, "Now I do apologize for my inconvenience to someone like you. And to your friend." His arm raised and pointed to Kuchiki, "But you are looking at what I have done wrong. And not what I have pointed out from just a brief appearance. And on another note about me skipping this class. I am a first year student that Kido skill is already through the roof in this academy. Within the first months I have memorized several high up kido spells as well as memorized the books they have come from."
The student turned once more and looked at his Sensei, "So you. I apologize for my inconvenience to you as well. You were just a playable piece to get someone like him here. But for our Captain Commander," He let out yet another dark chuckle, "Why don't you look at the good and stop staring at the bad."

Kisuke chuckled shaking his head. "You call yourself a Scientist." Kisuke adjusted his hat. "You do understand the definition of such, correct?" Kisuke paused waiting for the boy to answer, but he seemed confused at his question so Kisuke proceeded.
"A scientist is a person engaging in a systematic activity to acquire knowledge that describes and predicts the natural world. In a more restricted sense, a scientist may refer to an individual who uses the scientific method. The person may be an expert in one or more areas of science. Scientists perform research toward a more comprehensive understanding of nature, including physical, mathematical and social realms."
Kisuke looked from under his hat at the boy. "I never knew badgering was part of that." He looked to Yumichika. "And the last time I checked Fifth Seat Ayasegawa was part of the Eleventh Division. Not Research and Development." His finger then shook at the boy. "Not to mention. What he did tell you was a breach of the oath he took after returning back from the Takeover." His head titled slightly as he looked to Byakuya. "Don't that mean this young man needs to be taken in and questioned?" He looked back to Ryusuke. "Might even have to have your memory of this moment erased."
Kisuke made a clicking sound with his tongue as he shook his head. "What do you think Captain Kuchiki?"

Captain Kuchiki did not know what the shopkeeper was hoping to teach the thick-headed fool in front of them with that threat, but then again, this kind of person was not someone he would normally deal with. Walking over to the commander, his face set in his usual mask, he nodded.
“He does seem to have information that has otherwise been considered classified, and we have had spies from Aizen in our midst before.” His eyes narrowed down at the boy. “Sending a young one would give him a chance to get close to Sojiro Ichimaru, whom we know is a target of his.” He paused, and then in a moment of acknowledgement at his own annoyance, he added. “Shall I take him in custody or send for Hirako to beat what he knows out of him?”

Ryusuke laughed at the Captain's comments, "If you wanted to know what I have in my mind. All you have to do is ask. I'm an open book." He opened his arms and smirked, "Anything to help."
The captain looked to the commander. "That sounds like something Aizen would say in order to get close, doesn't it?"
"Yes. Yes it does." Kisuke rubbed his chin. "Take him under custody, Captain Kuchiki." He looked over at the guard then back to Byakuya. "Give him to the guard with strict orders to take him to Sixth Division. Lock him in solitary confinement. When we have finished here we will take care of things with this young man." He looked to Ryusuke. "I have no reason to doubt that you might be a product of that crazy ass Szayel. Its better to be safe than regret this later."
Ryusuke sighed as he stuck his arms forward, "Yes, accuse me because I'm a pain in the ass. Thank you, Captain Kuchiki and Captain Commander Urahara. When I say ask me something. I mean it literally," He shut his eyes and shook his head, "I'm in this academy for a reason. Do you sense any hollow? No? Didn't think so." The aggravation in his voice was quite obvious.
