"Angel's Return":Continued from here Raelin's curled-up form reappeared on the floor of Ishida's living room. Her wings unwrapped and faded away as she sat up with difficulty, watching the blood leak from the still-open cuts. Pale and shaking from the use of her power and loss of blood, her red eyes lifted to the fellow quincy at the table. She smiled slightly at his neutral gaze. "Ishida-san, can I ask for help wrapping these until they heal?" she asked.

Uryu nodded as he pushed his frames up along his nose. He rose from his seat at the table and walked over to a nearby cabinet. "Tell me, Raelin, what happened?" He took a fist aide kit from the cabinet and walked by over to his fellow Quincy. He pulled gauze and bandages from the kit and set them next to her on the table, and said nothing.

As Ishida started cleaning the deep cut on her first arm, Raelin started to talk to take her mind off the blood. “Kita Miyamoto refused to let me reverse a parent’s death, and she gave a good reason for me not to.” She smiled slightly. “That was the first time anyone has refused the second chance of my powers.”
Her smile fell as she considered what happened next. “The calling still demanded something be done for her, so instead of reviving a parent from the dead, I purified some of the worst darkness keeping a soul reaper dear to her heart in a coma- Ouch!”
Ishida gentled his grip, his gaze still neutral, but he’d already given himself away. Raelin waited for him to finish the antiseptic and then spoke up again. “I take it you do not take kindly to this particular soul reaper,” Raelin pressed in her quiet voice.

Uryu pushed he glasses up slightly, then continued to tending to Raelin. "No. I am not at all fond of Gin Ichimaru. He should be dead. Or, locked away in Central." He paused, only for a moment, before continuing. "According to Lieutenant Kuchiki, I am not better. I am a Quincy, after all. We are constantly at war, with everyone."

“Yet Quincies were the first protectors of the Realms,” Raelin murmured, following his movements, “and you’re still here.”
Her companion remained silent. After a few minutes, she looked up at him again. “I only met Kurosaki-san, but if the others are anything like him, I think you could call them your friends again.” When her companion remained unresponsive, wrapping the second arm, she added. “I also gave the shopkeeper and his guests a false name before I talked to Kita Miyamoto alone. My secret should be safe.”

Uryu gave a slight nod, as he finished tending Realin's wounds. "My friendship with Kurosaki is something that you do not need to worry about. I have been away and have some mending to do on my own." He sat back in his chair after he was done. "How much were you able to help him?"

“I was able to purge him of the darkness that clung on and continued to wound him - that which he could not assimilate into his shifting personality - and by doing such and healing some breaks in his soul, the build up of light in the center of his heart could bridge the gaps and start the real healing process.” She looked down at her white pants with a sigh and then back at her comrade. “He should forgive himself and wake earlier for her.”

Uryu nodded and rose to his feet with a sigh. He left the room, coming back a few moments later with blanket. "And, if he should return to the same man he was under Sousuke Aizen?" He draped the blanket over her shoulders. "Who should I hold responsible?"

“Ishida-san…” Raelin fell silent and then dared to touch his cheek. “It won’t be your fault.” She removed her hand, blushing slightly. “And if you wish to hold me responsible, you may.” She wrapped the blanket tighter around herself.
“But… but his soul will suffer for it if he does go back. Unless he forges stronger ties to either the light or the dark, even a soul like his who can hold both light and dark, will fall.”

Uryu pushed his glasses along his nose and turned away from her. "I will do no such thing. What becomes of his soul, will be by his own doing." He turned to face her once more, crossing his arm over his chest. "It is time the Quincy's were seen as the guardians we once were. Perhaps, this is what will set us on the correct path." Uryu set a hand to her shoulder. "Well done, Raelin."

"Thank you, Ishida-san." Raelin smiled and stood, holding the blanket around her. “Do you think - if we tell them - that the war will end? Is our secret something that can end-“
Ishida quickly cut her off.

Uryu raised his hand and shook his head. "It will remain just what it is, a secret." He pulled his glasses down a bit, and winked at Raelin. Showing a hint of a smile, Uryu pushed his glasses back into place. "You should rest. I am sure that was quite an exhausting ordeal."

Raelin smile brightened even more at his small one and she nodded. “You’re probably right.” She looked out the window, to the nice weather outside, and then back to him. “I’ll clean the blood on the floor later,” she murmured and started to leave the room.
Ishida shook his head as she passed him. “Don’t worry about that.”
Raelin paused and then nodded. “Thank you, Ishida-san.” She continued to her room.

"Rest well, Raelin." Uryu bowed slightly until she was gone from the room. He walked over to the pantry and pulled from it, a cleaning cloth and bucket. He filled the bucket with warm water and set it to floor. Rolling up his sleeves as he knelt down, Uryu began to clean the blood from the floor.
There is no need to tell them yet. Not yet.
