Quickly the door opened again as Saya swiftly entered the room. Her eyes immediately went to her daughter as Byakuya kneeled before her healing a wound on her arm. "I heard the alarm. I was in the shopping district when it went off. I followed Maki-chan reiatsu to here." She walked quickly over to Makino and Byakuya resting a hand to each.
"What happened?"
Her daughters head lowered slowly as she watched a tear stain her red hakama a darker red. She then noticed the young man Riku with a sad look on his face, lifting her hand from Makino she brushed a few loose hairs from his face cupping his cheek as she smiled warmly at him. her eyes then drifted back to Byakuya the same question still on her mind.

Byakuya lowered his head slightly, eyes closing as her hand went up to his cheek. He sighed. “The boy was taken again, right in front of her, and she came to me,” he murmured. Saya kissed his cheek and then wrapped her arms around her daughter.
Byakuya watched from the side, uneasy at the hiccuping sobs in his new daughter’s throat. That he couldn’t help her when she had reached out to him. And had called him …. Father.
“He was taken by the same creature that killed the captains. Aizen’s worst. That is all she has said.”

Saya held her daughter tighter. "He will be alright. I am sure of it." She pulled back and cupped either side of her face and looked into her eyes. "Remember who his mother is. What she is, and what his father has been through. He is strong and he will prevail against this just like he has every time."
"Yes, he will." Byakuya also replied.
Makino's head nodded slowly as she sniffed softly. "I know he will mother." She looked to Byakuya and took his hand in hers giving it a gentle squeeze. "Thank you..." she smiled the best she could at him, "...Father."
Saya gasp looking quickly from Makino to Byakuya, a wide bright smile crossed her lips. Coming quickly toward them both she pulled them into a hug. "I love you both very much and we are here for you, Makino."
Makino cringed as her mother ended up pushing into her wound as she hugged her. Saya moved quickly back looking at the wound as Makino pulled the cloth away from it that was sticking to the blood on her arm.
"What happened here?" Saya asked her as she ripped away the sleeve on her top to look at the wound better.
"I attacked the monster," she looked to Sojiro's father sitting at the edge of his seat. "Sada. When he grabbed Sojiro. That bastard won't soon forget me. I know I left a mark on his face." She looked down at her arm. "He tried to lash back with a Cero--" she cringed again as her mother started cleaning the blood from her arm and wound. "But I was too quick for him." She looked to her father and smiled. "Next time he won't even get close to me or Sojiro."
Saya looked to Byakuya remembering what he has said about this creature Sada, but before she could say anything, Byakuya had already spoke up.

Byakuya’s eyes narrowed at his new daughter, his ONLY daughter. “If you see that creature, you will stay FAR away from it, Makino Masanobu, and that is an order from your Father!”
“But Father-”
“Byakuya, maybe if you-”
Byakuya raised a hand, silencing both women. “Makino, you will obey in this or I will end your relationship with Sojiro.” When she gasped and Saya touched his arm, he set a hand on her shoulder. “This creature killed Captain Ukitake. And he didn’t just kill him. He destroyed him. There was nothing but a head at that scene, a head and scraps of bone.” He paused, realizing he had gone too far, as her face became white as a sheet, and he made her sit again.
He took a breath himself, looked to the woman of his heart, who gave him a forgiving smile, and knelt in front of his daughter. “I did not tell you that because he will do the same to Sojiro. I did that so you would understand the sheer brutality and disgusting amusement he finds at causing pain and destruction.”
Makino’s head dropped, tears falling onto her balled up hands. “He hurt Soji-kun. He didn’t just kidnap him. He ripped the arms right out of the sockets and was laughing…”
Byakuya had to press this further. Or he would risk losing her. “Don’t attract his attention, Makino. He will kill you. And I don’t have the power to stop him.”

Kisuke stood from his chair stepping from his silence. "Makino." She turned to look at him and he continued. "What your father is not telling you is this." He looked to Byakuya a side glance to Gin.
"This creature. Sada. He was created by the hands of the God of Fire, Allister. The blood of Vale Tervaden. And pulled from the pits of Hell. He is a creation of God, Soul Reaper and Demon. He knows no restraint and he knows nothing of the word mercy and cannot be controlled. He is a beast of his own means."

Makino nodded and looked back to her mother and father. "I understand and I will stay clear of him." She looked solely to her mother. "How did you do it all those years?"
Saya titled her head looking to her daughter, her hand lifting as she brushed the hair from her face. "What do you mean, Maki-chan?"
"How did you keep it together when father was out on mission or even patrol. Didn't you worry? Weren't you scared he would not return?"
"Of course I was, but I had faith in your father and his abilities. He was the best at what he did." She smiled warmly at her daughter and looked to Byakuya. "Now that's not to say your father did not come home unscathed." She giggled lightly. "He surly came home with his share of wounds, but he still came home in one piece and wounds heal." She fell silent into thought as she looked to her daughters wound again. "I remember his worst." She lifted her eyes from the wound to her daughters face as she turned and looked at her.
"Is that when he came home his arm almost severed?" Makino asked her.

Saya nodded slowly. "You remember that?" Her daughter nodded remaining silent. "If it had not been for the late Captain Unohana he would have lost that arm."
"What happen? No one ever told us kids," Makino asked her.
"Your father told me he was out on patrol, and a blade came out of nowhere. There was no one around. Not a soul. We never found out who it was, but after years of the wars and invasions from Aizen's group." Her eyes drifted to Ichimaru as he sat next to the window. "I think I know who that stray blade belonged to."
Makino looked to her mother seeing she was looking across the room at none other then Sojiro's father. Makino's head tilted as she narrowed her eyes in thought.
Gin's head lowered slightly. "For what it's worth, I apologize, Lady Masanobu. I have done many bad deeds in my lifetime."
Before her mother could concur Makino spoke up. "Why did you attack my father?"
A gentle hand rested to Makino's shoulder as her mother spoke up in Ichimaru's defense. "I don't think he was attacking your father. Your father was just an innocent bystander. If you know anything about Ichimaru's blade you know the danger lies within his blades ability to extend to great lengths and do it at a very rabid rate." She looked to Ichimaru again and smiled. "Did I get that correct, Ichimaru?"

“If I had attacked your father,” Gin muttered, tone becoming hoarse, “he’d be dead.” He sighed and rubbed at his scar. “If he was caught somehow by the edge of Shinsou, then it's as your mother has guessed. He wandered into it and was far enough that I didn’t finish-” He coughed.
“You need to stop talking,” Kisuke stated.
Gin glared at the shopkeeper. “Like Hell!” he snapped. He turned back to Makino, his son’s girlfriend — if not more. This was important. “I wouldn’t know why he got caught on the tail end of my attack, Maki-chan. I’ve killed more than I can count or,” his throat caught, and he swallowed, tasting blood, “remember. That’s - the facts.”
Kisuke gave him another look, saying he knew he was tearing his vocal chords and to shut up or he would stay drugged. But there was so much more he should tell, but he couldn’t now. So… it was unlikely he ever would. He turned back to the window, his lips twisting into a macabre smirk.

Kisuke turned to Gin as he sat looking out the window, he knew he had more to say but now was not the time not in the shape he was in at the moment. A firm hand went to his shoulder, Kisuke then turning back to the family in the room. Byakuya holding Makino's hand as her mother tended to her injury.
"I need to make my way back to my office and speak with the instructor of the Kido Class."
Makino turned slightly and looked at him. "Yumichika?"
Kisuke nodded slowly. "I am sure your story is correct, but in the state you entered the room, I am sure some details may have been overlooked or even forgotten."
She nodded slowly to him as she turned back to her parents. He looked back to Gin. "I trust you will behave with this news and stay put in this room." Kisuke paused as Gin looked at him with narrowed eyes. "Giving me looks like that will only get me to call Captain Kotetsu in here and put your ass back into dreamland. So what will it be? You going to behave and stay put or do I call for her now?"

When Ichimaru growled and gave a short nod before turning back to the window, as if to tune them all out, the commander turned to the noble captain. Captain Kuchiki looked to his beloved Saya. “With the creature Teruo on the prowl again, I need to escort the commander now. And as we are headed to the the academy now, the children can come with us. What do you wish to do?”

Saya looked to the two men in command, her beloved and the Commander. "Do you mind if I come along?"
Byakuya shook his head once. "I believed that is what you would wish, but it should be your decision." He paused, glancing to Asuhara. "Makino is not the only one who can use your kindness."
She looked to the young man who's heart was as heavy as her daughters from their beloved friend being taken. He had been silent since his first and last statement to Makino. She reached to him taking his hand in her and gave it a gentle squeeze and gave him a warm smile. "I will stay with them until they feel the need to chase me away."

Riku smiled weakly at Lady Saya then squeezed her hand back. His peripheral vision caught a flash of the bedridden man's silver hair. He turned and looked at Gin Ichimaru. Really looked at him. He was there when Sojiro's father awoke in the house in the human realm, but he hadn't spoken to the man. This was the first time he was actually able to get a good look at the man who fathered his best friend, who helped give him life. Safe to say, Riku was nervous. However he wasn't scared in the least. There was no way he could be afraid of anyone who Sojiro found important. Killer or not.
Riku slipped his hand from Lady Saya's and stepped forward towards Gin Ichimaru. "Ichimaru-san," he said quietly, but with no hesitation. "I don't mean to make you speak when you're injured so badly, but I was wondering... Have you been in the same situation as Soji-kun is in right now? Have you been at the mercy of this demon that took him?"

Kisuke pulled his hat down over his eyes with the boys question, but it came quickly back as he heard Gin move from his chair. Kisuke stepped quickly back to Gin's side, his hand going to his shoulder as Gin had stood and stepped into the boy. His eyes were narrowed as they hid behind his bangs of silver. The boy had stepped back his face blank of expression.
"To your question, Asuhara. Yes. Ichimaru suffered three years at the hands of that demon."
Gin started to settle as he sat himself back to his chair and turned to face the window once more. Kisuke looked to him and sighed softly, then looked back to Riku.
"The subject is still very sensitive for him."

Guilt washed over Riku as he realized how insensitive he had been in asking that question. "I--I'm so sorry!" Riku bowed deeply to Ichimaru. "I didn't mean to rub salt into your wounds! The reason I asked..." He paused as he considered continuing on his train of thought. He took a deep breath and continued.
"I asked because if you could survive that man's torture, then I know Soji-kun will survive him as well. I may not know either you or his mother that well, but I know from Sojiro that the both of you are strong. So because of that, I know Sojiro will be strong as well. He'll survive no matter what." Riku's body trembled horribly as the thought of Sojiro suffering like his father did. Hot tears of fear cascaded down his cheeks and he covered his face with his hands. "He has to... He just has to. None of us could bear to lose him."
Sojiro's words from just a week ago, telling him to not give up or lose faith seemed twice as hard to live by now as they did then. He tried to tell himself that if his father could survive three years with the man, Sojiro could survive too. But the thought of just WHAT he would be surviving was enough to send soul crushing waves of despair through him.
"I'm so sorry." The words came out without Riku knowing exactly why he was apologizing.

As Makino pressed a hand to her mouth and then quickly ran over to hug the boy, Kisuke looked to Ichimaru, as if to keep him silent on the matter. Byakuya made a decision and faced his daughter and her friend. "There is a big difference between what our enemies want of the father and of the son."
He looked to the silver-haired reaper. "Gin Ichimaru used to be one of their best lieutenants and he still knows more about Aizen than the rest of us combined. As long as he remains on this side, he is a threat. Then, there is his personality to consider. Until recently, he believed his skills made him near invinclble or at least, impervious to death. Unless he searched for it."
The noble captain turned back to the children. "Sojiro Ichimaru is blessed by the gods and has been gifted with some of their powers. His is also Kita Miyamoto's firstborn son. In order to control her, the vessel of a goddess, it would be unwise to destroy her son."
He paused. "He may also take the father's place." Ichimaru's hands clenched around his chair. Byakuya continued. "All scenarios require Sojiro to survive. And he is also immortal. Your friend will return."
