Kisuke watched the two as Byakuya spoke to them, he noticed that the young Masanobu's hand tightened around the young Asuhara's when it was said that there was a chance the young Ichimaru could take the place of his father's. He could see the worry rise up in the girl's eyes at the very thought she might have to make a very hard decision later in her life concerning Sojiro. The boy was not doing much better with the thought as they tried hard to comfort one another through holding the others hand, like one might slip through the cracks in the floor.
Kisuke chuckled and stepped toward the kids as he adjusted his hat. "One thing Captain Kuchiki left out. Sojiro would never join Aizen and his cause. He has far too much of his mother in him for that."

Makino looked to the Captain Commander, worry still in her heart and in her eyes. She then turned and looked at Sojiro's father as all of those things faded away. She released Riku's hand and lowered herself to Gin's side. She reached for his nimble lean hand and took it in hers. She looked up from them into his eyes.
"I believe in your son. Even more then I believe in myself, and I know you and and his mother are not as bad as everyone wants to make everyone believe." His father raised a brow at her as she continued.
"If you were like that, Sojiro would not be the wonderful person he is, and I would have never fallen in love with him. I have faith he will come back to us in one piece, and I will stay at his side as long as he wants me there."

Gin’s piercing gaze faltered at her words before he looked away but turned his hand over to squeeze her own. “Sojiro….” he whispered, hesitating for a moment before continuing, “is better than either one of us. I don’t know how, but he is. And he has chosen well…. in his friends.” His twisted smirk faded into a glimmer of a more genuine smile.
Before he withdrew again.
He couldn’t bear too much warmth right now. He needed a clear mind, and that was hard enough with the stakes climbing against him. Releasing her hand, he turned his head deliberately away from the beautiful girl.

Makino retreated leaving the man to his own and back to Riku's side taking his hand once more feeling more at ease. She smiled warmly at Riku. "He will be alright. I know he will." The two hugged again when they heard the voice of the Captain Commander pulled them back to the reality they wanted to escape.
Turning the Commander's ways they watched as he walked toward the door demanding the two kids and Saya walk between him and Captain Kuchiki. They did as he asked, Makino's mother walking behind them as Captain Kuchiki brought up the rear.
They were lead out of the room, down the hall and out of the medical ward. Soon they were outside the gates of Division Four and headed toward the Academy and to the dorms where they were left with her mother, the Commander and Captain now going off to talk to Yumichika.Moved/Merged- END -

"Final Straw":
It was after the nurses had finished their evening shifts, the sun was on the rise and visiting hours were about to pick up for the day when Gin Ichimaru opened his eyes. Wide awake and aware. He could also feel his limbs. Kita was in a chair across from him. Raising his arm up, he clenched his hand into a fist. Once. Twice. On the third time, a grin rose on his lips and his crystalline eyes flashed vermillion for a moment.
"About time death let go, don't ya think, dearie?"

Kita stirred in the chair where she had fallen asleep with hearing Gin speak. Her eyes fluttered open as she shielded them from the bright light in the room. She started to yawn as she looked down and covered her mouth. After her yawn she stood, turning her back to Gin she stretched with her arms over her head as she spoke to him.
"How are you feeling? Do you have all feeling in you fingers and toes?" She turned and looked at Gin, but it was not a look of worry. It was a look that a doctor or nurse would give a patient after they finished fixing them up.
She stepped toward his bed taking his hand in hers turning it palm up then reached for a blunt needle on his bedside table. "Tell me if you feel this?" She went to poke the tip of his finger with it as he jerked his hand back.
Gin curled his fingers up and around Kita's thumb that rested to the center of his palm. "Why are you poking me with that dagger?" Gin grunted.
Kita rolled her eyes. "Its not a dagger," she then shook her head. "Are you afraid of a little needle, dear? You have been damn near sliced in half and you're afraid of a blunt needle?" Her head shook again as she pushed her thumb up to open his hand once more. "My three year old son has more balls than you." She poked the tip of his finger waiting for his reply if he could feel it or not.

Gin chuckled as his hand started. “I did not say I was afraid of it. You’re assuming that.” He waved the needle away and continued, ignoring the tingle that remained on his skin. “I asked why, dearie, because it would not be necessary when you wasted so much in energy on me.” He sat up. “You know," he grabbed her arm, "you could always get into bed if you’re so dead on your feet that you fall asleep on a hospital chair. It’s not like I need it anymore.”

Kita gently pulled away from him freeing her arm, "you need this bed until I say different. So hush and let me do my job." She took his hand in hers once more, palm up, and stuck another fingertip watching it draw up. She poked the others watching them do the same. She then reached for the other hand as he tucked it behind him.
She sighed with a slump and looked at him. "Really? You are going going to do this?"
He just looked at her with a wide grin and his bright sky blue eyes.
She sighed again and flipped the covers down from over him. "Then I guess I will check your feet." Before he could move them away she quickly drug the needles tip up from the arch of his foot to the ball, she was quick enough she was able to check both. Both his feet twitched, his toes curled and he pulled his legs up and crossed them in front of him making his other hand free to her.
She walked around the bed as she spoke. "You're not going to keep me from doing this, Ichimaru. I have to make sure you have complete feeling in your extremities. I can not tell Isane you're completely healed when you are not." She stopped at the halfway point and placed her hand out for him to give him his other hand. She grinned as she wiggled her fingers.
"I don't do things half assed. That's why Aizen is dead now and not locked away where he can become free again." She paused still grinning as Gin looked to her with wide eyes from the news of Aizen being dead. "Now give me your other hand."

Gin stretched out his hand and then twisted it around hers when reached for it, catching her wrist and pulling her close to him. "What do you mean?" he asked in a hiss. His grip tightened. "How can you be sure he's gone this time?"
She pried his fingers from around her wrist with narrowed eyes. "Because I had him trapped in a sphere and I watched him burn. His sword is ash as well. Both sealed and in Kisuke's office."
"That doesn't mean it wasn't an illusion trapped in your spell," Gin muttered in turn.

Kita nodded slowly, "I will give you that, but it was not. Sumi confirmed his death and all illusions he had over us has faded." Kita sighed her head lowering slightly. "The Eva babies were one of his illusions." She fell silent her voice cracking slightly when she spoke again her thoughts on Yumiko, Shina and Vale.
"Shina...Yumiko." Her head shook slowly. "She is handling it, but I don't know for how long until she breaks." A tear started to fall as she looked to Gin. They started to flow as she quickly turned away wiping away her fallen tears. She quickly made a path over to the window, her arms wrapping around herself and head hung.
"Vale...he is...he..." her tears flowed faster. She tried to compose herself, but she could not. The dam had finally broke and everything was washing over her in a flood of emotions and tears.

Gin gazed at her through slitted azure eyes, his hands clenched at his sides, for a few minutes as he dealt with his own reaction to rest of the news, particularly about Vale abandoning her. Then, he pushed the sheets aside and rose from the bed. His legs felt strange. They were jello or achy. But they tingled from the contact of the floor, as if remembering something. His lips tightened. He’d manage.
Gin crossed the room and wrapped his arms around Kita from behind, setting his chin on her shoulder. “You know, dearie, I’ve been told that it is better to deal with these things leaning on someone, not hunching over away from them. But I will let you decide which works best.”

She turned quickly in his arms and buried her face in his chest as her hands clenched onto his kimono. She continued to cry in his arms as he held her close to him. "He's dead, Gin. They killed him on Aizen's orders. Those bastards ganged up on him and killed him. When I find them... I will kill them like I did the others and Aizen. I took their palace away from them. I leveled it to the ground. Turning it to the sand it once was. They have nowhere to go and when they surface or show their faces..."
Her hands tightened on his kimono as her voice grew angry, her tears stopped flowing and her reiatsu rose. "I will kill them all."

Gin remained silent as she spoke, his crystalline eyes hard beneath his silver hair, as she shook in his arms and venom sprouted from her mouth. He could feel her reiatsu push against his own, demanding he bow, and he fought the instinct to curl his lip in a sneer. Not because it is what he would have done against another’s. But because this change in her was something that man had caused.
And he really disliked it.
But that man had been the one she’d married and would bear more children for even after he left that scar of hatred on her.
It was supposed to be over.
His arms tightened on her. “Killing them won’t bring him back,” he snapped.

She growled and pushed against him. Her hands still tightly holding on to his kimono as she took a small step back from him, looking up into his eyes with her own narrowed blazing eyes, she growled.
"You say that like I don't know that piece of information. I am not a fool. I know their death will not bring him back, but they deserve to die for many more reason other than killing Vale." She shoved him lightly back from her as she turned and stepped away from him closer to the window. "I am tired of letting assholes push us around. I will end this even if I have to level Hueco Mundo in its entirety, and Gods forbid that I will allow one of them bastards to survive my wrath when I do it."
She looked slightly over her shoulder at Gin as he stood behind her saying nothing. "They have taken too much from us. It's time they atone with their lives."

“You sound like Aizen,” Gin muttered, frowning now.
When Kita whirled on him, Gin didn’t flinch at the rage brewing around her, even as a thread of it whipped against his ear, leaving it ringing.
“Well, you do,” he stated, a little of his sing-song tone entering his voice. “Revenge and world domination.” He waved a hand. “Most of those hollows will scatter to the winds without a leader or a king. And the one who took that title and sent them against us is now ashes in a bottle.”
He tilted his head. “Are you sure that one isn’t a genie?”
