"Nothing good," Mayuri commented his hands lifted, fingers wiggling as he reached out. "Anything a God has their fingers on or is mixed up in, I can guarantee it is no good."
"I am sure from what the Urahara boy said, the God has tethered the twos powers. Which means," a wicked grin crossed his lips. "The stronger his brother gets the weaker he grows, and if Aizen knows this..." he fell silent his grin growing even wider.
"Aizen will push his limits just so he can be rid of the man that has disrupted his plans more times than he would like to admit."

Kyo rubbed at the scar above his eye as he interrupted the scientist’s musing. “Not to burst or bubble or anything, Kurotsuchi, but Aizen will have a hard time succeeding with that. Not when his father's master saw fit to make Urahara immortal. That didn't change with this new deal."
Mayuri chuckled, "Daddy made one son immortal"--an eyebrow raised as he gave Kyoraku a pointed look--"and you don't think he did the same for the other?" His hand lifted as he rubbed his chin. "Highly doubtful if you want my opinion on the matter."
"Because to me, the immortality of those involved in that deal is immaterial. Aizen has plenty of aces up his sleeve. Compared to the Hougyoku and the power of his zanpakuto, combined with his intellect, it's a small piece of the puzzle. A puzzle we don't have to worry about at this time. That is the Soul King's balance here."
Mayuri hummed his hand dropping to his side. "Balance aside. Have you ever known Sousuke to not strive for power?" His hands lifted about his head. "It was the entire reason this all started." His hands dropped to his sides once more. "Mark my word, Commander. Sousuke will be back to his normal strength with his sword repaired within a year. If not sooner."
"I have no doubt that Aizen will be back to haunt us at some point in time, maybe within your timeline, but the Soul King saw fit to remove him from the equation. He also saw fit to set a couple equalizers on our side, Urahara's immortality and being able to sense his power being one of them."
He looked over the whole hall. "Aizen Sousuke is our boogie man. He will continue to test us and find our weak points. In the first war, there were too many to count. In this war, well, that's the first task I have for you in this meeting. I want you all to consider those words. Why did we lose this war? Why did the Soul King step in after the Goddess flattened our society?" He let out a shrug and sigh afterwards. "Maybe those answers won't help and maybe they will. We have time. That is what we need to focus on. We were better prepared for this war because of the first war. Let this one be a lesson for us all, your commander included."

Mayuri was rubbing his chin as the Commander spoke to them. "Things to ponder on? I have one!" His eyes lit up as did his index finger.
"How about we learn how"--his tone changed from a high-pitch to a low, ayyoned tone--"not to be kidnapped." He looked around the room at the ones that had been absent from the Gotei for the last year, plus. "That might be a good start." His arms crossed over his chest his finger tapping at his arm.

Toshiro stood silently listening to the others' conversation. He had to agree with Kurotsuchi. Aizen was not known for giving up nor remaining weak. Aizen would continue to try and reach his goals, whatever those were these days. With that man it was hard telling. At first it was rebuilding a better Soul Society by getting rid of the Soul King. Then it was his nonsense about only the strongest being worthy of leadership. And now days? Now he just seemed like any stereotypical power crazed lunatic hell bent on controlling the world.
That's why they had to be even more prepared than they thought they were. They had to be ready for anything, because Aizen had proven to them that he was willing to do anything to get what he wanted.

Kenpachi scoffed as he looked across the line. “Don’t go yapping your beak, freaky bull head. You didn’t fight out there. You ran with your tail between your legs. Or maybe you flew the coop. Not sure which fits you more. But really, between the two of us, you’re the one who messed up. I got locked up. You ran around like a rat in a maze.”

"So do we think that the Soul King's little 'failsafe' works both ways?" Tsukiro lifted a hand and shook his head. "Kisuke getting weaker as Aizen gets stronger isn't good for us. That means if Aizen gets his power back, we're down one captain level soul reaper to help us fight. So we'd better hope that as Aizen gets weaker, Kisuke gets stronger. And as much as I trust that big ol' brain of his, if he can't fight, that's not helpful to any of us. Also, if Aizen is immortal too, then what's the point of fighting in the first place?"
He scoffed, scowling at the ground. "He's already proven to us that he can break out of prison easily as well as take over the whole damn Soul Society. And now he's still free to do whatever the hell he pleases. If he's immortal, then we will be stuck in this cycle for the rest of eternity."

Sajin brought a hand to his chin. "Hm...Pardon me. If I may make a suggestion." He glanced quickly at his wife. "Perhaps it would be in our best interest to, as Captain Kurotsuchi suggests, learn not to get kidnapped." The Captains around him murmured in disapproval or confusion.
"Hear me." Sajin raised a hand. "We can no longer afford to acknowledge that Sousuke Aizen is a threat but do nothing to prepare for it. We have developed systems and procedures to combat hollow attacks. Granted, they need to be revised and adjusted. But, why have we done nothing to combat the threat that is Sousuke Aizen?"

Tsukiro looked across the way at Sajin, a touch of confusion in his expression and his tone. "So you want someone, Captain Kurotsuchi, to create an--anti--Aizen, barrier slash shield or an alarm system for the Soul Society or just the Seireitei."
"Well, if we are trying to keep Aizen out it would have to be for the Soul Society, not just the Seireitei." All eyes turned to Isane as she spoke up. "Well am I wrong? Keeping him from one but not the other is not going to solve our issues with him."
"Is that even a possibility. If I understand the concept of the Hollow security system correctly, it is set up to recognize their over all existence, so their reiatsu and DNA. Whereas, Aizen is a Soul Reaper and anything against him would go against us as well. Right?" Tsukiro threw out there.

Isane got a hopeful look in her eyes and a soft smile across her lips as she looked from Tsukiro to the Commander. "If anyone could create something like this and it not work against us it would be Urahara."
Mayuri audibly ground his teeth, shoulders going tight as his hands lifted and tightened into tight fists. He glared at Isane at the front of the hall. "AND WHAT AM I? CHOPPED HOLLOW LIVERS!"
Isane cringed as Mayuri yelled across the room at her, he was angered at her words, so much so, even his reiatsu was starting to grow. She lifted her hands in her defense. "I did not mean it like that, Captain Kurotsuchi. Please forgive me. I just meant..."
"Go on! I would like to hear what you meant." Mayuri called her out to explain herself.
"I...I...I..." Isane stuttered as Mayuri started walking closer to her.

"Oh calm down, Captain Kurotsuchi..." Ryo folded her arms over her chest. "None of this requires you to be as nasty as you have been. So, for once, hold your tongue...Or I'll burn it out of your mouth." Ryo gave Kurotsuchi a threatening glance.
"I think Captain Komamura is correct. We have spent years teaching ways to safeguard ourselves against hollows. But, our greatest threat has been one of our own. We can claim ignorance when it came to his first attack. But, we are nothing but fools for falling for every attack after. We have done nothing to protect ourselves against Sousuke Aizen. Nothing. Now, instead of insulting each other," Ryo gave Kurotsuchi another sharp glance. "Why don't we act as the Captains we are and devise a way to better protect the people we have so far failed."

"Lady Captain Komamura is right, we need to find a way to protect the people of Soul Society. As well as Seireitei. There is no excuse for us to be defenseless against him." Nori looked around the room at the ones that shared captivity with her. A few of the Captains, her glance lingered a second longer.
"Some of us suffered hell. While some of us not so much. It was hard for us, but not like the ones that were held captive outside of the Maze, but we all suffer from the fear of this man coming back for us someday. We have to find away to make our home feel secure to us once more or the ones that were taken are never going to be at ease again."

Toshiro thought sliently, reflecting on everything each of them offered to the conversation. As he thought of the Soul Society's anti-hollow security system and how it, as Tsukiro mentioned, prevented hollow attacks by sensing their specific type of reiatsu, an idea came into his mind. Kotetsu may have mentioned Urahara could easily come up with a solution, and he could, but the mention of Urahara gave Toshiro a better idea.
Toshiro looked up and over to Kurotsuchi who was still fuming from Kotetsu's comment. "If you want to prove you're better than Urahara, then perhaps you can take his design and improve on it."
Mayuri looked next to him at Toshiro, "what design might that be? I know of no such a design by Urahara."
"If we augment the barrier keeping the hollows out to also include Soul Reapers, then that means we have no way of passing through unless we devise a way to trick the barrier into thinking we are not Soul Reapers. Urahara's gigai technology gives us soul beings a physical, human body. All you need to do is create a gigai that can trick the barrier into thinking we are powerless souls without reiatsu. Souls can pass through to come to the afterlife as well as leave to be reincarnated, neither hollows nor Aizen can come through the barrier, and we can control which Soul Reapers are leaving and coming back to Soul Society with your altered gigai technology. Anyone who is not supposed to be in Soul Society will be essentially stranded with no way in unless they have a contact with the inside. Control the flow of souls coming in and out of Soul Society, and we will not be caught off guard by Aizen again."

“Sorry to burst your bubble,” Shinji popped his ball of gum loudly, “but that barrier you’re discussing so much only covers Seireitei. If he’s in Rukongai or any of the other outlying towns or wilds, the barrier does nothing.” He shrugged. “Maybe we can expand it, if everyone doesn’t mind that and we have enough materials, but unless you can devise a barrier to enclose the whole realm, a task fit for the Gods, he can come knocking. We can potentially keep him from traveling from Soul Society and the other realms if we can control Dangai better, but if he stays in one realm, unless we have a way to capture his signature without it changing on us, we’re going to be trying to catch one fly with a very large net.”
His golden eyes gleamed. “If I were him, I’d hang out far away from Seireitei and sit back and watch while we’re running around like chicken with their heads cut off. He doesn’t have to be here himself to get his hands in the cookie jar. We’re proving that now.”

A silence filled the room for a brief second after Shinji's comment, but only for a second.
"Why is it that you are more worried about me when you don't know where I am; compared to when you do know where I am?"
Aizen ask as he walked into the meeting, stopping at the end of the formation of the captain line up. His signature smirk across his lips as he looked around the room at all the captains. It was only a second as all blades were drawn on him. Aizen lifted his hands from behind him in surrender. Even a few kidos were sent his direction. Only to bounce off a Danku.
"I am unarmed as you can see."
"You're a master at kido, so in reality you are armed." Nori announced.
"Ah"--Aizen's head nodded--"Yes, I am." He looked to Kyoraku that was now standing from his chair. "But I am only here to ask a favor. Will you hear me out? If you grant me this favor, I think I could solve at least, one of your issues."

Ryo felt her temper flare but her blood run cold as she looked at the man standing in surrender. She drew her blade and pointed it at the threat on instinct. But, as the seconds ticked away, the act of standing against Aizen with a material weapon seemed more and more pointless. So, she sheathed her blade.
"Sousuke Aizen..." her voice broke. "You stand accused of great many crimes against the realms. The smallest of which are treason and murder. May you be granted nothing but the opportunity to leave this room unscathed." Ryo inhaled deeply and exhaled loudly before returning to her place in formation.
