Post by Commander Shunsui Kyoraku on Aug 20, 2014 14:48:13 GMT -6
"Soul Society Taking Action":In the late morning, Shunsui stopped by the assembly hall before going to find Juushiro. The meeting wasn't going to be until that afternoon, and he had some things to accomplish before that. However, he wanted to do one thing before people started appearing. Shunsui walked slowly up to the old chair, Yama-jii's chair, and set his hat on the seat. "I hope I do this right, old man." He paused respectfully, bowed, and left the hall, determined to stay away until it was time. ......

Suisenro Koriyama, Captain of the Ninth Division, walked into the empty hall, glancing around. His expression stayed even and calm, but on the inside he silently rejoiced at appearing first in the hall; part out of childish triumph, and part because he was afraid of showing up late to a meeting as important as this. He worked his jaw and glanced around nervously, though he tried not to show it, even with no one there. Unsure of what else to do, he assumed his place on the right side of the room and waited, shivering slightly at the cool chill of the drafty room.

Toshiro Hitsugaya walked in next, his brows knitted together, most likely in stress and irritation from recent events. He glanced over at the Ninth Division captain and gave him a curt nod in acknowledgement. Taking his spot adjacent from the Ninth, he gave a barely noticeable sigh and reminded himself that once this was over, he would go and find his absent Third Seat and Lieutenant and remind them of their duties with a thorough chewing out. His teeth grinded together at the mere thought of what Captain Commander Kyoraku would have to say on the Aizen situation. At this, the bridge of his nose scrunched and his head bowed, unable to keep a straight face as he was reminded tenfold of all the hell Sosuke Aizen had raised only a handful of years ago. In the corner of his eye he saw Koriyama swallow visibly and his shoulders shake--most likely from the extra cold breeze his reiatsu gave off a second ago. He sighed again and closed his eyes, attempting to calm the storm of rage within him.

Captain Kuchiki appeared next in a rush of shunpo which stopped at the entrance. The rush of the wind had calmed his recent headache from his once-again mounting frustration, but it hadn't taken away the bite of disappointment in himself. Closing his eyes for a moment, Byakuya pushed all emotions deep down inside him as was proper, appearing serene. The noble continued into the room at a slow walk, taking his place on the left near the top the room. He glanced at the two captains present, Hitsugaya who seemed to be battling with himself and the new captain of the Ninth, Suisenro Koriyama, who gulped audibly. He nodded to both then looked down again.

Nori Mutsu Captain of the Third Division walked slowly into the Captain's hall. There she bowed her head courtly to the other three captains. The Nobel Byakuya Kuchiki of the Sixth, Toshiro Hitsugaya of the Tenth and Suisenro Koriyama of the Ninth. She walked pasted them taking her place on the left a few spots up from Captain Suisenro. Her mind they raced with thought of what the meeting was about. She had heard the rumors of the missing girl, but to think that Sousuke Aizen was behind it was a far reach in itself.
The man would have been looking to get caught again to even think of setting foot back in the Soul Society. Ever since his escape they had been on moderate alert. Everyone was looking for him. Sousuke may be a lot of things, but a fool he was not. She believed with the information that was shared with her; if it was his doing. He had inside help. But who would be foolish enough to stand with a man the likes of Aizen?
She hoped that today's meeting would clear some of the doubts and rumors that floated around this incident.

Shinji Hirako's whistling reached the hall long before he had stopped and arrived. He tugged at his tie and saluted those who glanced his way at the noise. "Looks like I am not first or last, which is good."
He took his place next to the lady captain of the third and looked around the hall. "You guys are all being so quiet. Aizen hasn't won yet," he hissed, "so don't act like it."
He cocked his head at Nori. "How's work going, Nori-chan?" he asked directly, a kind of wild light in his eyes.

Nori looked to the captain of the Fifth, Shinji Hirako and smiled softly. "It goes well, Hirako. Thank you for your concern." She then turned to the Noble. "Captain Kuchiki, the paperwork I sent your way was not too much was it? I was not trying to make it difficult for you I promise." She could see he was annoyed no matter how much he tried to hide it.
She gave him a soft smile hoping it might bring one to his charming appearance.

The noble ignored the Fifth Captain's remark, not rising to the bait and instead turning to Captain Mutsu. "It was not," Byakuya replied quietly, expression unchanged. "It merely does not hold any answers I was looking for. I apologize for the trouble you took in providing them."

Shinji scoffed at being ignored by the noble and crossed his hands, tapping his fingers on his arm.
"Turn it down, shorty," he muttered at Hitsugaya, who was still emitting cold energy, a moment later, "I didn't come here to be frozen."

"Then maybe you should have brought a winter coat," Hitsugaya said bitterly as he threw Hirako a sidelong glare without turning his head in his direction. "Or you could grow your hair out again and use it as a scarf. Your choice."
However, he WAS trying his best to get his reiatsu back under control. But at this point the least he was able to do was limit it to a small radius.

"We all have our ways of dealing with the situation at hand, Shinji-san," a mellow voice called out from the entrance. Juushiro Ukitake nodded to Rukia for helping him and she took off.
The pale captain entered the room before continuing his thought. "We all believed that Sousuke was gone from our lives and that we could recover from the damages he had wrought on them; however, he escaped and has returned to causing harm to others. Personal rage is not something easily concealed, for yourself or others," he finished gravely. He set a hand on Toshiro's shoulder for a moment before moving to the other side, taking his place. He closed his eyes, weariness and anxiety weighing on his shoulders.

Shinji rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, I should have drowned 'im as soon as he gave me the shivers," he groused.
It was as good as an apology the ice captain was going to get until he got more information on his former shifty lieutenant's moves. He did not do well with waiting. It made the hollow in him start whispering. He inwardly slammed his foot in its face again.
He glanced down the line to where Juushiro was standing with his eyes closed, a small smile on his face. His eyes narrowed slowly. "Are you up to being here, old man?" he asked Ukitake directly. "You look awful today."

Juushiro chuckled, opening his eyes and smiling softly. "I will manage," he responded, in his usual gentle voice. "I am not dying and it is necessary that I am here." He looked around at his fellow captains. "Thank you for worrying."

Every bone in his body ached with stress and anxiety. He wanted nothing more than to get this meeting over with so he could go hunt down his subordinates. It seemed like hours that they had been standing there waiting.
Hitsugaya sighed. "Where is he already?"
