Matsuda, a tea merchant in the Market square stood on the street below the four captains. He waved at them trying to gain their attention. Finally catching the silver haired female captains attention he motioned for her to join him.
"I can tell you what happened. If you would like me to inform you of our attackers." He called out to the four captains that hovered above the square.

Nori and the other three captains followed as they all appeared on the street with the tea merchant. "Did you say you know who attacked?"
Matsuda's head nodded slowly. "They were here, in the rukongai when Aizen took over the place."
"So it was hollows," Tsukiro confirmed.
Matsuda nodded, "and the Soul Reaper Vale Tervaden." silence fell around them as the captains looked at one another with confused looks on their faces. "I think he was looking for someone, someone to stop him I believe."
Nori looked back at the merchant. "Are you sure it was Vale Tervaden, sir?"

Sajin appeared sniffing the air. He was able to separate the scent of their unwanted guests from the ash filled air. “I doubt it.” He sniffed the air again. “I am not picking up on his scent. There’s Teruo and the seer hollow.” Sajin sniffed the air again. “A third hollow. A new one. I've never sensed him before. But, no Tervaden.”
“Are you sure, Sajin?” asked Ryo.
“How many more times must I fill my nostrils with ash before you believe me?” he questioned, rubbing the back of his head. “I can not pick up his scent. There is another though. Very faint…Unfamiliar.”

"Another?" Nori questioned. "I only feel the reiatsu of three." She looked to the merchant. "Do you know if there were three or four?"
"There were three that I could see, but Tervaden's zanpakuto took form, screaming like a banshee from the underworld."
Nori blinked, "it screamed?" She looked back at the others. "Are you sure it was Vale Tervaden, sir?"
The merchant's head nodded slowly. "Very sure."
Se looked to Sajin. "And you can't pick up the man's scent at all, huh?"

"No." answered Sajin. "I can't. But, there is a fourth. I am not not entirely sure...what it is. Soul Reaper...Maybe." Sajin shook his head. "My apologies, Captain Mutsu. But, that's all I can sense at the moment. I can tell you that whatever it is, it stayed close to the third hollow. As if it were waiting...At least until the three left." He shrugged as he took another deep breathe.
"Are you saying that the fourth is still here, Captain Komamura?"
"I am telling you that I don't know...But, stay alert."
Ryo narrowed her eyes at her husband. His warning caused a chill to run down her spine. "Hisagi!" Ryo called out. "Go, as quickly as you can. Tell the other Captains to stand their ground where they are! Hurry!" But, as quickly as she gave her command, the remaining Captains appeared ready to tackle the issue at hand.
Sajin growled low and drew Tenken. "This...is a trap..."

Izuru returned to his captain's side, Hisagi returning to Captain Hirabayashi's side as well. He turned to Captain Mutsu. "If this is a trap, then what is our next move? Do we try and find the last one, or do we try and set a trap in return?"
He looked around at the destruction of the market. "The people have been evacuated but who knows what else they're planning or how far they plan to take their attack. Even if it's just the captain level forces they're after, the casualties could still be massive."

Tsukiro looked around the area as he spoke to the others. "I say we split up and search for this so called fourth person or hollow. To hell with it being a trap. If we find them first their trap won't work."
"But what if that is what they are hoping you do? Divide and conqueror, and all that shit." Hisagi commented.
"There is only one of them that stayed behind. How successful is one person or hollow going to be against 10 captain's of the Gotei?" Tsukiro grumbled.
"If we separate they could be very successful. We don't know who or what is out there. If we all agree that splitting up is the plan, we need to do so paired." Nori suggested.
Tsukiro turned looking down the market square his eyes narrowing. "Whatever we do we need to do it soon."

Eyes narrowed, the commander looked to his best friend from where they were on the roof. It was the only way for Isane to let Juushiro out of her medical ward this soon after the disastrous attack of his illness. Kita had halted it but Juushiro had insisted she use most of her powers on others instead of healing him perfectly.
"Our shopkeeper says he has Vale's zanpakuto, but we have another unknown face. Just once I want a war to end without the villains' encore." He adjusted his hat. "We will indeed be pairing up. Lady Komamura, stay with Captain Mutsu. Fire and Wind, I like that combination. Hitsugaya, join the White Knight. Stick to each other like glue. I'll pair up with Lord Komamura. Lietenants, you are both with Captain Ashimitsu until more people join us from the other affected areas."
He paused. "If this is the epicenter, the disaster will show itself soon."

Ryo nodded at the Commander's orders. She turned toward Captain Mutsu when Captains Zaraki and Kuchiki arrived alongside Lieutenant Abarai. It was safe to assume that Captain Kurotsuchi wouldn't be bothered by anything outside of his lab and that Captain Kotetsu was already tending to the wounded. Ryo turned quickly - Her husband's low growls serving as a warning. She looked around, spotting an unfamiliar figure sitting on a bench nearby that had survived the firestorm.
"Who is that?"

"Well, surely if you do not know who I am," Shosei's voice sang out to the group of Shinigami Captains now focused on him. "Neither do they." He crossed his legs, a leg over his knee, and placed his hands in his lap. "Though, we have never met before, I am familiar with all of you, Ryo Komamura. But, I suppose I should introduce myself." Shosei turned his gaze toward the leader of the pack.
Shosei rose to his feet and folded his arms behind his back as he turned to face the group. "Captain Commander Shunsui Kyoraku...Captains of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads...I am the worst of the worst you will ever and have ever faced. A bold claim, I know. But, before you know a lasting peace...Before you know rest...Before the bitter taste of war has been washed from your tongues...You will know my name and suffer from all that I have done."
Disappearing from where he stood, Shosei reappeared behind the Captain Commander. He leaned forward just enough to whisper in the man's ear. "Shosei." He smiled before disappearing as the man swung his sword he turned. Shosei's chuckle echoed on the air. "Remember it Captain."

Shunsui’s eyes narrowed as their new opponent escaped his blade and then in the same move, disappeared from the area. “Shosei, hmmm? Not sure I like that new name from the perspective of an enemy, but it’s not like I can choose his name.” He glanced to his partner. “Can you still sense him, Sajin?”
Sajin sniffed the air. "No..." Sajin listened intently as he continued to sniff the air. "Nothing."
"Neither can I, even after briefly engaging with him." The commander shook his head. "This isn't going to be fun." He looked to the others around him. "Keep your guard up. My gut tells me he's still around, and he dares to call himself the worst of the worst. That's a ballsy declaration after everything that's happened."
He placed his free hand on his undrawn blade. "And he's fast."

“Fast with a big mouth,” Shinji’s nasal voice called from the top of a pole. “I hate that type.” A wide grin split his face. “But then again, it’s also the type I owe big time for scarring my face. If he’s still around, I’m carving this one up.”
“The commander said to be cautious,” the noble captain stated from his own position down in the market next to Kenpachi.
The giant captain tossed his head from side to side, bells jingling. “I’m with our friendly freak. Let ‘im come and let me beat the crap out of ‘im.”
Shinji snickered. “I thought that was our lazy captain with the white coat, but I’ll take the compliment if I get to join you in messing up our visitor."

Kuchiki closed his eyes. He already dealt with one bloodthirsty maniac on the field. The addition of another because the Ayakashi had left a mark didn’t bode well for his headaches. “Control yourself, Hirako. You’re not like this fool next to me.” He ignored Kenpachi as the giant grunted and turned to him at that insult. The brutish captain was not his focus at the moment. “We don’t know who or what this opponent is that can so readily blend in with our tormentors. Taking it head on, even with your transformation, will only lead to another defeat. Your confrontations with Terou should have taught you that much.”
Had the Visored's many exposures to Terou’s poison gone to the Fifth captain’s brain or had it given the hollow an even stronger hold on his body? The old scars caused by the substitute's hollow throbbed underneath his robes, reminding him of what the transformation could do when uncontrolled and his eyes narrowed beneath his bangs.

An annoyed huff was heard within the group of captains. "Terou is not your typical hollow, Espada or Ayakashi. Actually he is none of the above from the information I was given."
"Information?" Kyoraku questioned as he looked the way of the Eight Division Captain. "Where did you receive this information?"
Tsukiro could not bite back the tone as he replied to the Commander. "Who do you think?"
"If he is none of the said mentioned, Captain Ashimitsu. Then what is he?" Nori inquired.
Tsukiro was keeping a sharp eye on their surroundings as he answered the Captain of the Third Division. "He was created by Alister with Vale's blood and raised from perdition." He shrugged, "so God, Soul Reaped and Demon."

"Your attention has seemed to stray," a voice from the shadows spoke. "You have a new adversary, but here you stand discussing none other then a creature you have already faced."
Aizen stepped from an alley as he looked at his former, fellow Captain's. A wide smirk spread across his lips. "It's a wonder how you ever defeated me. Come to think of it though," Aizen's hand lifted as he rubbed his chin, "you never did defeat me. Now did you?"
He chucked lightly, his hands tucked into his sleeves, "the boy gave you fair warning, Commander. Heed it has if it came from the men themselves."
