Once Tessai had evaluated the damage to Byakuya's arms, he and Kisuke began healing them, starting on reconstructing the shattered bones. Tessai knew that this job was more directed toward Kita's healing abilities, but even with the God-like healing powers she had, the damage done to Byakuya's arms was not something that was going to be a one-and-done deal.
Bones and cartilage had to be reconstructed. Tendons, ligaments, and muscles reshaped. Not to mention the damage that was done to the arteries and veins. His dislocated shoulders were the least of his injuries, and still, they were an issue. The Noble was a mess, and it was going to take days, maybe even weeks to get him completely healed back to a hundred percent, or as Kita liked to say, 'Healed to perfection'.
Looking up and over Byakuya at Kisuke, Tessai saw movement at the end of the street. Realizing that it was the villagers coming back into the Market Square, he motioned toward them with his head.
Kisuke turned to look over his shoulder as he noticed another group coming in from an ally that was closer to them. "Hopefully they keep moving and don't stop to see what is going on."
Tessai nodded, his attention returning to the Noble captain. "And if they see her?"

Kisuke sighed, "we will cross that bridge when we come to it. Right now, let's just pray they move on." Tessai nodded again as the two split their attention between the villagers entering the square and Byakuya which they were healing.
So far the villagers were not lingering and they were not really paying attention to the healers and wounded. Though the ones that were checking out the wounded and healers did not notice Kita since she was kneeling on the ground as she healed Sajin. At least that was so until one of the villagers got a little too close.
"You're her?!" One of the men pointed at Kita. "You're the one that attacked Soul Society and killed thousands. You're the Goddess."
Kita looked up at the man with his accusations as other villagers started to gather, their attention now on her. Kisuke looked to Tessai, Tessai's head nodding in gesture of letting him know he had things under control with the Noble. Kisuke lifted and walked toward Kita.

Kita lifted slowly to her feet as more and more villagers gathered, they whispered, mumbled, and bluntly yelled accusations and obscenities at her from across the square.
"She's a murderer!" -- "You killed my husband!" -- "You killed my wife!" -- "You killed my children!" -- "You're a traitor!" -- "You don't deserve to live!" -- "Why are you not behind bars!?" -- "She is a killer!" -- "You're a captain! Arrest her! She is a killer!" -- "Arrest her!" -- "Arrest her!" -- "Arrest her!" -- "Arrest her!"
Still kneeling next to her husband, Ryo grabbed Kita's hand, "Kita... Kita..." she tried tugging her back down with no avail, still calling out her name, but her words only fell on deaf ears.
Kita stood there, frozen. Every coarse and hurtful word from the villagers cut into her mind and heart, hot tears trickling down her cheeks as they all chanted for her to be arrested. Suddenly her mind skewed and the area started to spin. She could still hear Ryo calling her name, Kisuke, Juushiro, and Kyoraku's voices belting out orders to the lieutenants to break up the crowd and escort the villagers out of the square. Her hands clenched into tight fists, her head dropped and her eyes closed tightly trying to block out the chanting, when suddenly something hit her, hard, in the back at her shoulder.
"KILLER!" a woman screamed at her.
She spun quickly in the direction of her assailant. Her eyes blazing a bright blue and her reiatsu spiking, pushing villagers back and bringing some to their knees. However, her reiatsu dropped as quickly as it spiked when she saw Juushiro standing between her and the woman that threw the rock at her. Juushiro reached out to her and placed a tender hand to her shoulder. He did not have to say a word to her, his eyes saying it all.
Suddenly Kita broke and fell to her knees in front of him, her hands covering her face as she started to sob. Feeling a hand on her shoulder once more, her hands slid from covering her face as she saw Juushiro kneeling in front of her. Taking her hands in his he leand into her and whispered into her ear. When he pulled back, he dried a fallen tear and helped her to her feet with a stern nod and a warm smile.

Renji stepped forward with Hisagi by his side as well as Captain Hitsugaya. "ALRIGHT THAT'S ENOUGH!" Renji drew his sword and held it in front of him at the crowed, the dull edge facing the crowd. Hisagi and Hitsugaya each spread further apart from him and assisted him in pushing back the crowd. Other officers who were not either injured or otherwise already preoccupied assisted in helping him push back the crowd to give everyone involved with the healing efforts. "All of you need to back away, now! Anyone caught interfering in Gotei business will be arrested!"
Once the crowd took three huge steps back, Renji put Zabimaru away. "So unless you wanna spend the day in the Sixth Division jails, I suggest you all pipe down and let us do our jobs!"

Izuru looked to Kita with worry as she started to fall apart. He saw Captain Komamura's expression twist into pain the moment she stopped healing him. He rushed over and placed one hand on her back, the other falling over Komamura's chest. "Kita, it's going to be alright. Don't worry about them right now. They have no idea what's going on here. They may not be able to see that you're helping us, but we do."
He gave her a weak smile. "I know it's horrible hearing those things, but don't let them stop you from doing the right thing. Healing is your calling, not killing. Prove that to them."

Nodding, Kita dried her tears, took a deep breath and exhaled slowly to settle her emotions. It was working until she heard one of the villagers start demanding that she be arrested and tried for her crimes.
"You," the guy beckoned Renji, "yes you. With the red hair." the guy replied when Renji looked his way. "You look like a smart guy. Someone that would demand justice. Arrest that girl," he pointed toward the accused. "Over half the people here"--he gestured to the people around him--"are witness' to her killing spree on the Soul Society. She needs to be tried and punished for her crimes."
Renji was not even given a chance to respond as Kisuke appeared in front of the man, the man's shirt bunched in Kisuke's hands as he jerked him forward putting them face to face. Renji blinked a few times and stepped back. With the look that was in Kisuke's eyes, there was no way he was getting between them.
Kita was watching the commotion between Kisuke and the villager, but Kisuke was speaking in a low tone was she could hear nothing of their conversation. Suddenly Izuru took hold of her arm, turned her away from the villagers and Kisuke, and started walking.
He motioned to the medics, "Let's get the wounded to the Medical Ward."
It was no time and the Fourth Division medical team that was sent to retrieve the wounded, gathered everyone up and started moving them from the center of the village. Izuru stayed next to Kita his hand wrapped firmly but gently around her arm as he lead her down the street of the Market Square.
"Why did you do that, Izuru?" Kita asked him, she looked back over her shoulder at Kisuke who was still talking to the one villager that told Renji to arrest her. It seemed the only ones leaving the Market Square were the healers and the wounded. The others were staying behind.

Izuru shook his head, giving Kita a stern look. "Things were starting to get ugly. You're already having it rough enough as it is. I didn't want you to be there if things started to get even worse. I can tell your mental health is still not where it needs to be, which is understandable." He gave her a warm, encouraging smile. "Things don't just get better overnight. Your mental state is always a work in progress in this kind of life. Trust me, I know. I get it."
He stopped her and turned her to face him, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I may not have been forced to massacre an entire group of people by Aizen, but I know how it feels to grapple with your identity as a healer and your abilities as a fighter. I started out in Division Four before I was made Ichimaru's lieutenant. You know him better than anyone, so you know just how ruthless he can be." His eyes became dark and cloudy as he cast his vision down. "Ichimaru brought out a side of me that I was not proud of. Someone I didn't know I could be. I didn't like it at first--I still don't fully. I became a soul reaper to help people, not cut them down."
Izuru looked back up at Kita. "But eventually I made peace with who I became and the powers I developed. I'm not saying you have to accept being a killer. I'm just saying that eventually you'll make peace with who you've become since you were first dragged into this mess."

"I know I need help, Izuru but the help I need I can't get in the human realm. If I seek help from a human doctor they will lock me in a padded room."
Izuru gave her a lopsided smile, nodding with a shrug. "Yeah that would definitely be a problem, not a solution." He thought for a moment, placing his hand over his mouth. When an idea occurred to him, he lifted his hand in suggestion. "Well... I have an idea, but I don't know how well you'll take it."
"Whatever your idea is, it's probably better than whatever I've thought of," Kita shook her head. "Hit me with it. Right now I'm open to anything."
Izuru nodded once more. "Well... I was thinking you could stay here in Soul Society and see a psychiatrist here. You need someone to talk to to help you sort through your feelings and experiences. And like you said you can't get that in the human realm. There are plenty of good people in Fourth Division who can help you."
Kita thought for a moment, her eyes cast down. When she looked back up her head was shaking. "I don't know, Izuru. What about the kids I can't leave them and you know for a fact Gin is not going to leave my side for that long."
Izuru hummed, crossing his arms as he thought long and deep about a solution. "To be honest... I am not sure. I think maybe Kisuke or one of the captains involved with you the closest would have a solution. My solution would be to just simply bring the kids with you, but of course that leaves out Ichimaru, and I know you won't be having that. Which I understand. Also you traveling back and forth would be too much stress on you..." He uncrossed his arms and smiled. "But we'll figure something out. There's a way, I'm sure of it."
Kita nodded as the two turned and started walking again to stay up with the medical team. "If we can figure out something that does not involve me traveling back and fourth, and where me, the kids and Gin are together, I will consider it. However, we have to run this by Kyoraku first. He will have to approve all of this."
Izuru nodded with a bright smile. "I am sure he will approve of it."
Kita only smiled as the group walked along back to the Fourth Divisions Medical Ward.

Post by Commander Shunsui Kyoraku on Mar 12, 2023 23:55:22 GMT -6
As the medics started their march back to the Fourth Division, with Kita still by Lieutenant Kira, the villagers still held back by the others started to whisper again, casting blame, demanding justice. Their words grew louder, threatening to boil over yet again. And they wouldn’t be the only one who would reach their limit, not if his ears ringing were any indication of the shopkeeper’s own temper nearly reaching his usually seamless control. Shunsui sighed, nodding to Juushiro, and stepped forward. “Enough.” It was the only warning those of the Gotei received before their commander unleashed a blinding wave of his reiatsu around the surroundings. His power wasn’t as suffocating as Yamamoto’s, but it had been honed in those formidable flames to a fine edge, one he usually kept locked away as he didn’t enjoy battles of pure force. He rarely used it as a weapon as he did now, silencing everything around him in one swift move. “Kita Miyamoto has killed many. The Gotei know that this is true and suffered from her actions, as well. But I tell you now that she is not your enemy. I told you all when we returned to look inward, but you did not heed my advice. Maybe it was too much for you after all your suffering. So as your leader, I will stop this now.” “Come on, Kyo-kyo, you can’t really believe that. Don’t tell me she got to you too!” He raised an eyebrow at the young man that had taken over his father’s yakisoba stand since his death, one of many he knew that were gone forever. He had teased him and drunk sake with him since before he had been a man. And he had found him his wife. “Miyamoto’s story is her own to tell, but I ask you to think on this. Miyamoto first became Aizen’s prisoner before she was a woman.” Kisuke’s head snapped to him at these words, but the commander continued onwards. “What would you do to protect what’s important to you if you were trapped in Hell? If you wanted to live? And would you be able to keep your innocence or keep your hands clean?” He turned around, ignoring both of his friends, sure that one might punch him later. “War leaves numerous scars, and I know yours are painful, but if she were the monster you paint her to be, she wouldn’t break down and cry in front of you because she can’t fight anymore. Because of what we forced on her to keep some souls alive for your future. This vendetta with Kita Miyamoto ends today. Heed my words. Execution of these orders will not be as gentle again.” Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 446 "Brother In Arms": Naoru and his baby brother walked through the marketplace doing a little shopping, Naoru of course was not in the moment. His mind was thousands of miles away, on a beautiful young lady he met for tea just hours before. Their date was amazing. He could not believe how adorable Koko was, and why he had never met her until just the other yesterday.
No matter, he knows her now and they had their second date already set in stone. The weekend could not get here fast enough for him.
Hearing a merchant arguing with a customer, Naoru looked up a wide smile crossing his lips. "Of course it was Riku causing the commotion. Only he could get these merchants this pissed off." Naoru chuckled and walked towards his little brother and the merchant.
"What are you doing to this poor man, Riku. Can't you see he is just trying to make a living."

Riku turned and pouted at his eldest brother, pointing at the merchant behind him. "I'm trying to tell this thief that he's overcharging for his wares! He's claiming that these bowls are bone china, when they're not! They're fine china, but he's charging more than the price you would even if it was genuine bone china!"
"You slanderous little wench!" The merchant shook his fist at Riku. "I'll have your tongue for that! You're driving off my business! Either buy something or get lost!"
Riku turned and glared at the merchant, placing his hands on the counter and leaning forward. "I would have bought something from you if you were honest about your products and reasonable with your price! You're crazy if you think I'm going to pay that much for an inferior product!"
"You have no proof and my wares have seals on the bottom! If you think my wares are fakes, then prove it!" The merchant grinded his teeth at Riku.
"Oh, gladly!" Riku grabbed one of the china bowls off the table and held it up to the light with the bottom of the bowl facing the sun. "You see here? None of the sunlight is coming through! And this material is stark white instead of milky white! Any collector with a shred of common sense can tell the difference!"

Naoru leaned into his brother as he held the bowl up for display. He could see there was no light just like Riku claimed. Naoru's head nodded slowly as he looked at the merchant. "Sorry mister, my little brother is right. Whoever you bought these from lied," Naoru raised a brow at the guy with a questioning look, "or your just lying to everyone. Which is it?"
"Err!" The merchant grimaced, clenching his hands into fists. "I-I got these from Lord..."
"Yes?" Riku grinned at him. "Which lord? Maybe we know them. We can have a talk with your benefactor immediately~" Riku sneered like the cheshire cat at the merchant.
"I... he... his name is..." The merchant froze, then suddenly grabbed the sack that his earnings were held in and made a break for it, running out of his stall and through the crowd of people.
Naoru and Riku chuckled at the sight as they looked at one another. "Another scammer out of the way." Naoru looked pointedly at his little brother. "He called you a little wench," he reached over and tugged on the length of his brother's hair.
"Think maybe it's time for a haircut?"

Riku pouted and shoved his brother's hand away. "Why? It's not even that long yet! I wanna grow it out at least another six to eight inches!" He smoothed his hair back, smiling sweetly. "It's not my fault I'm pretty~"
He grabbed a few of the fine china the merchant had left behind. He heard his brother clear his throat. When he looked over at Naoru, he had an eyebrow raised. "What? It's not like he needs it anymore! Besides, it is good china. It's just not bone china. I wasn't going to overpay for a cheaper product!" Riku turned a bowl in the sunlight. It was white with pink sakura petals and small cats. "The artwork on some of them are cute at least!"

Naoru shook his head with a wide smile as the two move on down the market square. He looked at a few stalls they passed seeing cute hair pieces and jewelry. "You think it's too soon to buy a gift for Koko?"
He continued looking at the items they passed. "She would really like some of this."

"Nii-san," Riku sighed and cradled his bag with the china. He shook his head at his brother. "You're clueless if you have to ask that question. Asking if it's too soon to buy a lady a nice gift is like asking if spring comes too soon after a deep freeze." Riku smiled at Naoru. "Buy her something nice, but thoughtful. Something that says 'I bought this because I was thinking of you, not because I want to show you that I'm loaded.'"
