6th Division, Internal Affairs- The 6th Division handles all of Gotei 13's internal affairs, such as monitoring shinigami activity and handling any disturbances from other shinigami. They are responsible for apprehending shinigami that breaks Soul Society laws and also detaining them until Central 46 has given their verdict in the matter. Their division has the most holding cells, which is used to detain criminal offenders until they are judged.

"Harsh Realities":Captain Kuchiki released the documents, setting the top profile back on the stack before him. Sighing, he closed his eyes and focused on controlling his frustration. It didn't matter how many times he referred to them. He wasn't making any progress. Byakuya opened his eyes. Perhaps he should return them to Captain Mutsu in Third Division once again. The noble glanced to another stack of handwritten notes. He had compiled them in case the clever and halfway mad Urahara was wrong in his hypothesis, that at least Yumiko Ryouma had been released by a noble clan hoping to overthrow the new captain commander, not by their greatest enemy. Some were disgruntled that a man who only showed his prowess in extreme circumstances had been chosen to take Yamamoto's position. He was too powerful to take on alone. But if they could obtain a powerful pawn... He shook his head. He hadn't heard anything beyond usual complaints that Shunsui Kyoraku had fooled many with his act of lazed drunkenness. Haven't they heard "a wise eagle always hides his talons?" Byakuya muttered to himself, looking over the sakura-strewn coutryard. His eyes narrowed. There had to be something. It shouldn't be possible to vanish from the highest security prison in Seireitei without setting off any alarms or leaving any sign of entrance or exit. Not without help. Powerful help. Someone should not be able to bypass carefully constructed barriers and disappear with a blind captive, again without any signs of something have occurred but for the fact that Yumiko Ryouma was no where to be found. Yet he had the proof before him that someone(s) had. Where in Seireitei was the link to Sousuke Aizen? What was he missing? The fact remained that it was natural for expectations to reflect the image presented to the public, to forget certain aspects after seeing that image so many times. It was easy to forget how many rules and traditions tied him down when faced with the beauty of his house daily. It was true with Sousuke's first betrayal and their new brilliant captain commander. It had once again proven to be true with the escape of Sousuke Aizen, and it would continue to be true until something in his plans cracked. "Returned Items from Central": - End RP -

"Cornering a Fox": (continued)"Taichou," Renji called out as he entered his captain's office, "I finished with these calculations. Is there more you would have me d-" He halted at seeing his captain watching a hell butterfly flap in front of him, completely still. Only when the butterfly had flew off did he turn to him, dark eyes sharp. "Abarai, you are in charge. Make no fuss about this." Renji leapt to attention. "Yes, sir." Byakuya nodded and then was gone. A few sakura blossoms settled on his desk. Renji walked up and set his documents down. "Good hunting, captain." Continued at Third Division

"Raising the Standards":
Byakuya’s eye twitched as his fifth seat officer spouted excuse after excuse for his continued incompetence. Finally, he turned around, silencing the man with one stern look. “You are dismissed, Togashi, and stripped of your officer rank. Continue to try me and I will see to it that you leave this dvision.” The man’s eyes narrowed and he started to say something else, but the noble merely narrowed his eyes full of steel. “I don’t care who your family is. I won’t let what happens underneath the table to conflict the proficiency of this division. Clear out your quarters.” He raised his voice. “Dismissed! Abarai, get this dog out of my office!”

Renji entered the captains office and looked at Togashi walking over to him and taking him by his arm. "You heard the Captain. Out." After escorting the man to his office to clean it out Renji stood there watching and waiting for him to be finished. While he was he got an idea. Once he was finished Renji returned back to the Captain's office knocking and waiting for the approval to enter.
Once he was allowed to enter Renji stepped up and stood before Captain Kuchiki's desk. "Captain sir. If I may, can I suggest a replacement for the Fifth seat. I am sure you will find my referral rather reassuring."

Captain Kuchiki raised his eyebrow. "And who would you recommend, Abarai?" he said in a monotone voice, though his eyes relayed the threat hidden in his neutral voice. He wasn't in the mood to deal with any more mistakes today.

Renji grinned slightly he knew the captain would be pleased with his suggestion. He was a hard worker and got along with everyone in the division and had been with them for sometime now.
"Yorusuke Nagano, sir."

"Hmmm . . . " Byakuya turned from his lieutenant and looked out into his private courtyard, falling silent as he considered the suggestion.
With his personality, Yorusuke would be able to handle the mess that Togashi had left in their hands with fewer hotheads at having to redo old work. His eyes narrowed slightly as he recalled the grades on his mathematics and statistics. Higher than Abarai who was the next most likely to be in charge of fixing the finances.
"An acceptable choice, Abarai. Is he within the barracks at this time?"

Renji nodded. "Yes sir. He is on the training filed right now." Renji pointed over his shoulder with his thumb. "Would you like that I go get him?"

The noble nodded in affirmative and Abarai left the office, leaving the door open. Byakuya moved back to his desk and looked down at the chaotic documents that had been filed in the last month, especially the list of finances. His eyes narrowed further.

Yorusuke returned back to the captain's office with lieutenant Abarai his mind racing with what he could have done or said that called from him to pay a visit to Captain Kuchiki. When they entered the office both men stood before the captain's desk bowing then standing erect.
"As you asked Captain Kuchiki I have retrieved Yorusuke Nagano." Renji told Byakuya.
Yorusuke looked from the lieutenant back to the captain a worried looked on his face. "Captain Kuchiki, did I do something wrong?"

Byakuya didn't answer, only turned to face those in his office. "Do you think you would be worthy of becoming an officer, Nagano?"

A wide grin crossed Yorusuke's face. "Are you giving me bragging rights, Captain?" Byakuya's looked became more stirn. Yorusuke's grin faded quickly as Yorusuke bowed to his captain.
"Yes Captain Kuchiki, I believe. No. I know I could do you proud sir." Yorusuke stood before his captain again and looked at him.

Byakuya looked at him silently for a few moments then looked to Abarai before lifting a large collection of documents covered in red and black ink corrections from his desk. “You have one month to unravel the mess left behind by your former fifth seat Togashi. Seek the aid of anyone you wish, but I would stay away from the dog and his bitch. Even if he does help, he won’t get his seat back. “ He looked back at his lieutenant. “Abarai knows most problems that can occur as he made them all himself when he first dared to become an officer. Unlike most, he corrected his mistakes before I tired of them.” He handed the pile to Nagano. “If you can complete this task, then you will replace Togashi. Do you accept this responsibility?”

Yorusuke took the stack of files from the captain and nodded. "Yes Captain and I will have them done before the months end. I will prove that I am more than enough worthy of this position, sir." He bowed again tucking the files under his arm. "I will not let you down, sir."
