"Talking with Strangers":It was well into the noon hours, Mitsunari now walking the shopping district of Soul Society. There were a few more things he needed to find, something Fuwa reminded him of as they talked. While out looking around the giggle of a young boy caught his ear and the laughter of a young mother following closely behind as he looked both their direction. She reached out trying to catch his arm as he darted away the young boy of about three or four ran toward him. "Kadaj Tervaden." He heard the raven haired beauty call out to none-less then her son. A smirk rose across his lip as turned and grabbed the young boy up hoisting him into his arms. The boy had a shocked look on his face as he looked at him. "Well hello there, Kadaj." "I no you." Kadaj's head shook quickly. "How you know me?" Mitsunari chuckled about to reply as the young woman stepped up to them. "Thank you so much." She told him as she reached out for her son taking Kadaj from the man."It was my pleasure, Mrs. Tervaden." His head bowed slightly to her.

Kita titled her head as she looked at the man. "Do I know you?"
Kadaj patted her cheek as his head shook. "I no him mommy, I no him."
"Kadaj baby, please." She told him looking his way as she took his little hand into hers to stop the patting of her cheek. She looked back to the man in the dark navy kimono and long dark hair. "My I ask your name maybe that might remind me?"

Mitsunari chuckled lightly his head shaking gently. "I heard you call for your boy. That is how I know you." He ruffled Kadaj's hair, "and how I know you, you little trouble maker." He growled playful at Kadaj.
He bowed to the lady in front of him his hand to his chest. "Mitsunari Ono, Mrs. Tervaden. At your service." He stood and looked around the shopping district. "Is your husband not with you and your son."

Kita bowed in return. "It is nice to make your acquaintances, Mitsumarui. And no my husband is not with us today." She giggled softly, "but I am sure he is close. He always is."
"I see. A jealous man." Mitsunari commented.
Kita nodded slowly, "of sorts, yes. But more untrusting than jealous."
Mitsunari cocked his head." Of you?" He watched as the woman smiled shaking her head.
"No, of others." She told him with a sly smile.

"And he has every right to be with a wife as lovely as you." Mitsunari told her capturing her hand, kissing the back of it.
"Master Ono," a voiced called out to him as the merchant stepped from his shop, a box in hand. "You were in luck, sir. I had what you were requesting." He looked to the lady standing with him. "Lady Kita. What a surprise and where is that little Dragon of yours?"
The boy popped out from behind his mother and looked at the merchant and waved, as Mitsunari chuckled taking the box from the man. As they chatted, Mitsunari opened the box seeing he had what he needed. Turning to the woman after closing the box he smiled warmly at her, the child and the merchant.
After they finished talking he bowed to the three of them, his hand going to Kadaj's tiny shoulder. "It was a pleasure to meet you and I do hope we get to meet again." He lower himself to Kadaj's level a brighter smile crossing his lips.
"Especially you little man." He stood and look to the woman. "Do you come to the market often?"
Her head shook, "Only if we are in need." She giggled softly her hand resting to her sons shoulder as she looked quickly down at her son then back up at Mitsunari.
Mitsunari nodded slightly with another bow. "Well, maybe next time. I bid you farewell until then, my Lady." He stood, turned and left them to their own doing.

As Mitsunari walked away Kita looked to he youngest as he looked up at her. "Who he mommy?" Kita shrugged. "Just a man, sweetie. I don't know him.""I no yike him." Kadaj told her. Kita looked from her son to Mitsunari as he was joined by two other men. A tall redhead and tall dark headed one. As she looked to them the tall red head looked over his shoulder back at them. The smile on his face unnerved Kita as her eyes narrowed his direction. He turned back taking his eyes from her and her son, as Kita offered her hand to her son then squatted down in front of him.
"From now on you do not leave my side for a second." He nodded his little head. "Promise me Kadaj.""Yes, mommy. I stay wif you all time. Pomis." Kita let her hand slid to the back of his head as she pulled him forward and kissed his forehead. "Thank you sweetie." She stood and the two started their shopping once more.

"Noble Meeting in the Park" continued: Yumiko became more quiet as they left the relative safety of the Noble district and entered the streets of the Rukongai. It had been a while since she had been attacked, but now she had a child to protect too. She didn't want him to be treated the same way as her. For his own sake. And for the sake of Soul Society. She didn't want a threat to hang over him for his differences. So as Kouen led the way to their destination, with the whispers around them, Yumiko kept her head up as a high noble but did not set a hand on her zanpakuto. She released a breath when they reached the tea shop and most of the whispers faded to the streets. "I'm sorry for the trouble," she murmured.

Kouen smiled warmly at her. "If any were to approach us they would have thought twice in doing it again." He slipped a dagger from his sleeve and sat it to the table top. "Never leave home without it."
"That's a good way to remain armed without being inconspicuous," she agreed as she took the seat he offered. "I've considered going places in the same way, but I am less likely to hurt someone if I have both my Kido and my zanpakuto."
"You should protect yourself at all cost, and like I tell Maki-chan. If they are attacking you they are not doing it to hurt you. They want you dead. Never show mercy. Never." He looked up as Matsuda, the tea shop owner stepped up to the table.
"Kouen-sama." He spoke in a soft manner. "Would you please put away your weapon. You have spooked your waitress and she does not want to come over here with it on the table like it is."
Kouen looked across the shop seeing the young girl behind the counter looking intently at him. He chuckled lightly and picked up the dagger. "Sorry about that Matsuda, but tell her it is better seen then unseen. At least its known their is a blade close at hand."
Matsuda chuckled lightly as he patted Kouen on the shoulder. "Maybe for you, maybe for you." he turned and walked back to the counter where the young girl was.
Kouen chuckled and looked across the table at Yumiko and shrugged. "Some people are too cautious. Where others not cautious enough."

Before Yumiko could reply, the waitress stepped up to them and bowed, setting the menus down. Her eyes darted between them as she rose. “Welcome, my lord and lady.” She paused. “Is there anything you would like to start with?”
Kouen grinned at her. “We’ll take some scones, my dear.”
"Right away, my lord." She blushed, turned around, and then glanced behind her before walking away.
Yumiko chuckled. “Are you trying to charm that girl into forgetting that you scared her when you came in, Lord Masanobu?”

Kouen smiled, "Not at all. I am sure she has seen worse. Just being nice like I was brought up to be." He leaned forward on the table his fingers lacing together as he propped his chin to the center.
"So tell me something about you I do not know?" He raised a brow and smirked at her. "Remember who I am now. There is not much I don't know about the noble members."

Yumiko shrugged quietly. “I don’t know. With what you do know, Masanobu, it won’t be an easy feat to find something that I want to share and could tell you.”
Kouen’s smirk grew as he looked in her eyes. “Sounds like a fun challenge to me.”
Yumiko lowered her lashes as she had been taught a long time ago then looked to the menu. A few words stood out to her. Tears filling her eyes, she lifted a hand to brush a finger over them and then looked back to her escort. “I’m sure you have a few favorite flowers. Male or female, it is something that sets the nobility apart, our attention to the natural beauty around us. One of my favorites has always been the jasmine plant, though I have painted more iris.”
And roses. But it is too early to think about those drawings.
She picked up a scone as the waitress set them down, eyes moving to the plant arrangement before them.
“I've been drawn to how the different shades of the iris bled onto the page with the aid of brush and water.” She paused, her eyes lowering. "Or the rain. They always seem brighter somehow in the rain."

Kouen sat back as the waitress stepped back up to the table with a hot pot of tea. he looked up at her and smiled warmly.
"I took the liberty of making your usual, Kouen-sama." She sat it to the table with two cups and left again after a slight bow.
Kouen looked back to Yumiko. "The rain is a wonderful thing. I have always loved playing in it and taking walks in it. Its so refreshing to ones soul."

Yumiko nodded, dragging her mind back to the present. “I'm sorry. I drifted away. What tea did you order?” She brushed a lock of hair behind her ear and wiped her eyes once more.
"Spiced, my mother's favorite and I have to say it is one of mine as well. I have many others, but on a chilly day as today it is tops to warm the soul." He lifted his cup after pouring her one and himself. "To new beginnings, new friends and a new future."
“That’s a good toast,” she smiled, taking her cup. Closing her eyes, she breathed in the warm scents of the cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, apple, orange, and more. “I like the bouquet,” she murmured. “It reminds me of when I used to bake. I haven’t done that in a while…” Blowing softly, she took a sip. “Mmmm, it’s wonderful, sweet and tart at the same time, and it does warm you up.” She took another sip.

Kouen smiled at her as he lowered his cup. "Then you must take some home with you. My treat." He lifted a hand as their waitress came back to the table. "Make up a pouch of Matsuda's best Spiced tea for the Lady."
She nodded and rushed back to tell Matsuda of the order, Kouen looking back at Yumiko as he rested his chin to his propped hand on the table. "Now when you enjoy a cup of tea you will think of the Masanobu's, and hopefully stay on the path of righteous." He grinned at her. "It's the only way too travail~"

Yumiko chuckled. “I don’t know most of the Masanobus, only a stubborn sister and a charming brother.” Feeling a blush come on as his grin grew, she took another sip of the spiced tea, closing her eyes to enjoy the tingle that came with blend. She set the cup down after she finished it. “And it’s not too trivial if it tastes this good.”
She tilted her head, eyes shining. “Your turn to tell me something.”
