"Afternoon Calm":Yumichika strolled down the street, sighing in contentment at the spices and herbs radiating from the expensive restaurants behind their ornate flaps. Reams of vibrant fabric fluttered in the breeze. Embroidered kimonos and obis stood on displays in front of stern guards right next to merchants with swords peddling precious stones. A peacock flew overhead on his rope, the pet of courtesan. Her rosy lips smiled at him behind her umbrella. Yumichika, dressed in a dark blue haori with a silver lotus embroidered on the back over a black silk kimono, offered an apologetic nod and bowed over Kita's hand. "Paradise, my dear, awaits you. Celebrate the traitor's capture as much as your heart desires."

Kita smiled in delight. She had completed her first task against Aizen. How long the peace would last in soul society was another story. Once word of his daughter being taken captive by the Gotei 13 reached his ear, Kita was sure Azien would show to release her. Then again, if he was using her like he did all the others. He will let her rot in her cell. Only time will tell in this case, but until then Kita was going to enjoy her time spent with the delightful Eleventh Division; Fifth seat, Ayasegawa Yumichika.
She found it odd that the commander put them together. When he called her to his office and she saw Yumichika there, she became worried. She thought maybe something was up from the little skirmish Tsukiro and Renji had and he wanted to ask her some questions. When he congratulated her on a job well done over the capture of Azayaka and offered her Yumichika as her escort, she was shocked, yet relieved. It seemed she was going to be treated to a well deserved outing in the more expensive side of the Rukungai for the day.
Kita looked around at the little shops a huge smile across her face. "This is amazing, Fifth seat, Ayasegawa. I don't know where to start." She looked to him for ideas knowing her knew the place much better than her.

Yumichika chuckled. "Ayase or Yumichika is fine, Kita-chan," he said gently. "I have many names here and am much more recognizable for my appearance than titles or nicknames." He turned and offered some coins to a child selling birds of paradise and withdrew two from her bucket, offering Kita one and withholding the second.
He waved over their surroundings with the second plant. "First, I would recommend one of two things. You can either purchase a new kimono for yourself. Even if the delicate one on you is gorgeous, a beautiful lady can always have more of them to distract her man. Or if that is too much - at first - you can take a pause at a restaurant, have an appetizer and drink. From that vantage point, you can admire the sights and decide where to go and wet your appetite for more adventurous flavors down the road." He wagged his finger in front of her. "Also, remember, don't hold back. This a reward for helping us. You have no budget to worry about."

Kita giggled at his flamboyant personality. He was definitely not Eleventh Division material personality wise, but she figured as colorful as Gin was, Yumichika had to bare the same mark. She was sure if she dug deep enough she would find that dark side to him as well. However, she was not here to pick him apart. Just enjoy his company. There was plenty of time to learn who he was and what made him tick.
Kita smiled and grabbed his hand quickly startling him as she drug him into the kimono shop. "Help me pick out some more kimono's, Ayase. I am sure you would never steer me wrong with what looks good on me." She looked back over her shoulder as he walked behind her. "Not to mention. I need to find a wedding dress."

"Oh?" Yumichika's eyes narrowed and an almost evil grin lit up his face. He chuckled quietly and quickly took the lead. "Leave it to me. I will have him falling in love with you all over again." He bowed over the stern lady at the desk and whispered something in her ear. Immediately, she lost her severe look and disappeared deeper into the shop, holding the second bird of paradise. He turned and perused the ream of fabrics on display in front.
"Tell me, black or white for the wedding kimono? I have seen both nowadays and then there are different shades to consider. I need a few preferences there. Then we can find silver and violet as embroidery, beading, even lace, if we are in the right shop..."
He put a hand to his chin inspecting a ream of ice blue silk fabric with waves in the dye. "A lace covered obi could be stunning... " he murmured, half to himself.

"White and lavender will be the colors." Kita said poking through a few of the racks herself. When Yumichika said something about lace she turned, a bright smile beamed across her face. "That would be lovely. Yes indeed." She walked over and kissed Yumichika on the cheek. "I knew asking you to help was the right idea. Thank you, Ayase."

Covering his cheek, Yumichika then smirked. "Since you have recognized my genius, I will give you the creme de la creme."
The woman returned and bowed for Yumichika to follow her. He nodded and turned back to Kita. "Wait here, my dear, and see if there's anything else we will be purchasing. I will bring out any art pieces that suit you after viewing their shelves." He paused then kissed her cheek. "Stay indoors and the guards will watch you while I am away," he whispered and stepped back, bowing before her again. "We shall see if I can find you an obi in pearl and lace."
She giggled and he chuckled to himself, disappearing with the matron of the shop.

Kita smiled and watched Yumichika disappear to the back as she turned and started browsing again. She found many kimono's that she liked, but she did not want to get too crazy. Where would she wear them? It is not like she lived in the Soul Society to wear them around there, and she wondered if she took them back to the human realm, would they still exist? After all, this was a soul realm. Are their clothes like they are? Unseen by people with little to no spiritual powers. Kita laughed as a soft shade of pink covered her cheeks at the thought of being seen nude in the human realm while wearing one of the kimono's she got from there.
"Well some guys might like what they see." She mused quietly with a giggle as she still looked at the kimono's.

Yumichika reappeared with the matron, a kimono half hidden behind a transparent veil between them. "My lady," he bowed, "I present to you art~" He whipped the veil off and both the woman and himself stepped away.
The fabric of the white kimono shimmered in silver ripples in the lamplight on one side and silver stitching gleamed from right as the swirls of the wind danced around the delicate plum blossoms caught in the breeze. On the back a painted crane was alight in flight in front of an ice blue waterfall, a black pearl for its eye and the pin feathers and wing tips crafted in amethyst crystals. The obi was lavender silk stitched with falling blossoms, tied with a a white silken thread sash.
Yumichika chuckled as she stood admiring the first piece he had pulled out from the shelves. "If you still want an obi with lace, we can find one like that," he commented quietly.

Kita's eyes lit up. The Kimono was beautiful.
"Ayase." Kita stated breathlessly. "It's beautiful." She looked to him from the dress.
"But Tsukiro wanted something where my shoulders would show. Could we manage that with this?"

Yumichika nodded. "I'm glad you approve and yes, you can wear it with your shoulders showing. This is a woman's kimono and the ladies adore that fashion for the strange reason that it draws men in."
He chuckled at his own joke. "So is it everything your heart desires, my lady?"

Kita smiled brightly and attacked Yumichika hugging him tightly. "You're amazing." She kissed his cheek again. Then quickly turned grabbing one of the kimono's she was admiring. "I have a question."
She started to blush then giggled softly at the thought again. "If I take these back to the human realm to wear. Will I be covered? Or are the clothes here like the soul reapers? Only seen by people with high spiritual powers?"
She blushed more as Yumichika gave her a seductive look.

Chuckling, he let her go. "I'm afraid, my darling, that the men would be out of luck," he stated. "It's the way our bodies interact with the items that makes them invisible, not the items themselves." He sighed dramatically. "There's a complicated explanation I am sure the shopkeeper or even the commander could give you, but the long and short of it is that."
He gave her another heated glance then turned away, plucking at kimono with the autumn's crimson moon dipping into a black lake over the beautiful fiery fabric. "No, you will not be in the most beautiful outfit a lady has. Here or the Living World, you will decked in these fine fabrics."

Kita blushed again and quickly turned to the kimono's again hiding her embarrassment from Yumichika. "Well then, lets see what else I can find."
She slowly went through the kimono's finding one that was a dark green with dark purple embossing. She lifted it showing it to Yumichika as she lifted it up in front of her.
"Too dark?"

Yumichika turned around and then tapped his chin in thought. "Hmm... " he walked over and started straightening out the kimono, "hold it up against you.. like that. Good, " he complemented and walked backwards. After a few moments, he smiled and waved his hand. "No, that's a good color for you. The green brings out the violet accents and both bring out the color in your eyes. If you like the fit, I would certainly consider purchasing that one."
He pulled out the orange kimono he had been admiring and set it over his arm. "Shall I have the lady of the shop assist you, or do you want me to?" he purred, eyes dark again.
