Tsukiro's hand clamped to Riku's shoulder. "Its fine. Its reminds me of another I know well." Tsukiro's hand fell from the boys shoulder as he turned and looked for a place for them to sit and talk. When he found a spot he turned back to Riku.
"Come with me Riku. So we can sit and talk. I want to learn more about you. Student files only cover skills. I like to get to know a person as well. After all, there is more to a person then their talents or what to see with your eyes." He smiled brightly. "Something a very brave woman taught me ages ago." Tsukiro turned again and started toward the empty chairs and table he had spotted across the room.

Riku stood in shock then eventually recovered. He beamed up at the captain brightly and nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, sir!" He followed the captain, trotting by his side and somehow managing to keep up with his wide gait. "Although, honestly, sir. I can't imagine a person more brave than you."
Tsukiro simply laughed as they moved over to the vacant table and chairs.

After Mitsuo's insult to her Captain of choice and her attempted bodily harm, she wished, she would have inflicted upon him, Makino got herself together and looked around the hall for Captain Hirako. As she wove her way through the crowd looking for him and coming across a few of her classmates and finally, breaking away from one of the overly talkative females in her Kido class, she spotted Captain Hirako.
She smiled brightly and quickly made her way toward him. He was still talking to one of the other students as she waited quietly so to introduce herself.

As he finished his lecture at the current fourth year student to approach him, Shinji became aware of someone behind him. He turned around and frowned, not liking the fact that she was a woman. Yes, she had potential. He recognized her from the files he went through. But she was just waiting. Being so polite. “What?” he snapped, temper sparked. “Have you lost your voice?" He sneered. "Or your nerve?"

Makino could only blink as her breath caught in her chest at the sudden outburst from the man. Though she did not show and would not show any visible signs of shock to the Captain and his actions. She bowed quickly to the Captain in front of her.
"I am Makino Tori sir!" Her voice slightly risen from a normal tone. "I apologize if I am bothering you. I only wanted to introduce myself. Please forgive me for intruding as you were talking to to the other student. I will be more courteous next time and wait to approach you when you are free."
She stood quickly, "Please excuse me."
She turned not even taking a step and bumped into a gorgeous male. His shiny dark hair framed his silky smooth complexion and beautiful purple eyes pierced her own as they met. She froze in place her mouth slightly open in a attempt to apologize but the words would just not come forth.

Yumichika smiled at the poor woman and took her hand. “I think,” he murmured, looking into her sparkling violet eyes, “that there is no need for a beautiful woman like yourself to apologize.” He kissed her hand and tugged her forward so another student wouldn’t run into her.
He chuckled at the fury in the other student’s eyes directed towards the blonde hydrid but bowed his head as the student on his arm frowned. “Don’t take it too personally, dear bird,” he whispered. She turned back to him. He smiled. “He is quite prickly now after losing most of his division and Lieutenant Hinamori. That is especially the case towards any female students."

At his words Makino's heart sank, her voice caught in her throat as she tried to speak as she lowered her head in defeat. "S--so I guess my chances of getting into his division are very slim?" She sighed heavily. "And I worked so hard to make it here and even took on a second year to improve where I lack."
She tugged away from the guy in front of her, her eyes looking to Captain Hirako once more. His back was to her as he had turned to another student, a male, he had approached him as she was speaking to the other. She sighed again shaking her head. Tears wanting to form in her eyes but she fought them back as she took a deep breath and gathered herself for the second time that day.
She then turned looking at the guy she bumped into trying to make her escape from the Captain. She bowed slightly to him, her hands clasped together in front of her. "Thank you, and I do apologize for running into you. I should pay better attention to my surroundings." She stood with a warm smile across her lips and looked into his beautiful eyes once more.
"I am Makino Tori. Who do I have the pleasure of calling my rescuer?"

Etsuya hummed, propping an elbow on the table and resting his had in his hand. "Well, that was rude." he said lowly, thumbing the pages of his book. "Why anyone would just wander off and leave me sitting at a table all by lonesome, is beyond me."
"Maybe they just wanted to speak with their future Captains?" said Kenji, walking up to the table and sitting next to the student. "There isn't anything wrong with that."
Etsuya shot out of his seat quickly. He bowed to the man sitting next to him. "Urahara-san! Uh...Um..." Etsuya looked to Urahara with curious eyes. "Uh..." Raising his hand, Etsuya scratched his head. "What are you doing here, Sir? You're not in the Academy, are you?"
Kenji laughed loudly. "I am, actually. Something about policy and politics." Kenji waved at hand, prompting the student to relax and it. "You know my name. But, I don't know yours."
"Right. I am Tanimoto Etsuya, second year student. And, I...uh...How old are you?"
Kenji appeared behind Tanimoto, dropping a heavy fist on the top of his head. He snickered as he quickly groaned and complained. "Never ask an Urahara his age! We'll just lie about it!" Kenji looked over Tanimoto, taking notice of his impact wraps. "You're a fighter, hm? I take it, you wish to join Jingle Bells' division?"
Etsuya continued to rub the top of his head, as he turned back to Urahara. "That's the plan. But, I'll be happy with wherever I am placed, to be honest with you." Etsuya watched as Urahara placed his hands in his pockets and walked toward the entrance of the hall.
Sitting back down, Etsuya noticed his book was gone. He gave a half hearted laugh as he stroked his chin. "No reading material to pass the time." Slyly, Etsuya slid closer to a female student who had made her way over to his table. Quickly popping a mint leaf in his mouth, Etsuya stuck up a conversation with the young woman. When the woman got up from the table, Etsuya followed.

“A beautiful name for a wonderful lady.” He bowed. “Forgive my manners and not introducing myself earlier. I am fifth seat of the Eleventh Division and a teacher in one of the advanced zanjutsu classes. Yumichika Ayasegawa.” He rose. “Also known as the only man with taste among those barbarians.” He paused for a moment as Urahara’s son came and went, filing it away for later, and deftly he removed a tear from Tori’s eye.
“I didn’t tell you the fruits of my wisdom for your delicate beauty to wither on me, dear bird,” he murmured. “I told you so you would know why the brute acted like that and consider how to plan your rematch.” He smirked. “He is called the Oni among us, my dear. It’s only grown worse, but if it is something you set your heart on, would you truly give up so soon?” A devious light glittered behind his eyelashes. "Or would you figure out what he may perceive as lacking and demand his attention?"

She smiled softly shaking her her. She was not giving up. Not in the slightest bit. She was going to do this and she was going to do it on her own. No help from Sojiro. No help from her family reputation. It was just going to take a different type of approach now.
"Division Eleven, huh? I have a couple of friends that are wanting to get in there." She looked around the room then back at Yumichika. "Is Captain Zaraki here today?"

Yumichika chuckled quietly. “Definitely not. It would be too stuffy for him.” As the woman’s eyes softened in disappointment for her friends, he reached up and caressed her cheek. “You may tell the ruffians, especially one Tanimoto, that if they want the time, they better show something ‘fun’ during their next session in the training yards. Words straight from my Captain before he disappeared to take a nap~”

"Just count me out of it," Soji muttered as he came over.
Ayase grinned. "Don't want the bloodhound after you?" he purred. "Such a pity."
Soji rolled his eyes. "I've learned from Ichigo, Ayase. That man only stops after sensing his prey when they're in the ground or he's distracted by something more 'fun.' And I told you that I don't want to go into that division. Let him find different prey."
Yumichika chuckled again. "He won't stop quite that easily. Not when your mother pounded him into the dirt. Getting you into his flock is the best payback for that excitement."
Soji shook his head and then set a hand on Makino's shoulder. "You okay? Sorry. I didn't know Captain Hirako would act like that."

Makino's eyes widened at Yumichika's statement about Sojiro's mother. She looked quickly to Sojiro. "Y- mo- your mother? Beat up Captain Zaraki?" She looked back to Yumichika. "He let her win. Right? Because she is... she is a woman. Right?"
Sojiro shrugged with a confused look on his face as Yumichika was smiling ear to ear shaking his head. "Holy crow..." she looked to Sojiro. "You must be stronger than you're putting on then."

Sojiro rolled his eyes again. “Great, Ayase. Now, I’m an ox. Thanks a lot.” The man chuckled and gave a little mock bow, making Makino giggle, though her eyes were still wide and focused on him. He couldn’t help himself and rolled his eyes a third time. “Really, it’s not like that. Mom - she…” he paused, wondering what to say and then rubbed the back of his neck. “She had help.”

Makino blinked a few times her mind starting to turn in thought. She had help? Looking between the two men she looked pointedly at Sojiro. "Do you mean when they called her the Goddess they were not referring to just her beauty? She is a Goddess?"
Sojiro said nothing only remained silent with the question. She turned her look to Yumichika. "I know one of you know the facts here. If that is so why did they not--"
The tip of Yumichika's finger cover her lips lightly as he whispered to her. "Some things are better off left in silence, dear bird."
She looked deep into his eyes when he pulled back from whispering to her.
