Wrapping her arms around his torso she pressed her lips to his a few times in a tender kiss. "Ayako came looking for help with the Fall Festival, and it was me amd Allura she came to for that help."
"Really?!" Sojiro leaned back slightly from his humming bird. "What else did she want?"
"Money..." Makino and Allura said in unison. "Ten thousand yen to be exact."

Sojiro blinked in disbelief a few times. “What exactly does she need ten thousand yen for? There are funds set aside for this, and there was even a sum set aside for the school after Take-jii’s death. What more is she-”
He glanced to Allura and then started snickering. He couldn’t help it. She was making a very interesting face of her own. Again. With cheeks pinkening and eyes narrowed, her lips were pursed in a cross between a scowl and pout, trying to be intimidating and dismissive at the same time. It got him every time. “Sor-sorry, Nakane,” he sputtered, “we’ll -we’ll-” He held a hand over his mouth and chuckled.

Allura realized she had been caught with her common reaction and quickly turned to her normal emotionless look as she looked off to the side.
She cleared her throat some before talking, "It's fine. I should be heading out soon anyways," she waved at them dismissively.

"Nooo," Makino expressed as she parted from Sojiro to lighten the uncomfortable mood they had placed Allura in. "We will stop. I hardly get to see you guys besides in passing these days. I want to spend some time with you." She looked to Sojiro who was still snickering slightly. "Be nice, Soji-kun, you don't like it when others laugh at you over some things." She winked at Sojiro. "Certain books if I remember."
Sojiro straightened up quickly, his cheeks turning a soft shade of pink as Makino giggled slightly. She then grabbed his hand and tugged him toward the couch. "Anyway, Ayako spent the all of the Fall Festival funds."
"All of it?!" Sojiro exclaimed.
Makino and Allura nodded. "We don't know how far she got in setting the festival up, but if she wants another ten thousand yen, you can probable bet she is barely half done." The three took a seat, Sojiro and Makino on the couch and Allura in the chair across from them.
"What's the theme of the Fall Festival anyway?" Sojiro asked.
"A Masquerade." Makino replied lifting her bottle of water to take a drink, but before she got a sip of it, she lowered it slowly from the shocked look on Sojiro's face. "What's wrong, Soji-kun?"

Sojiro hesitated at spoiling her moment of glee, but the danger looming over them prompted him to speak his mind. “I don’t believe Kisuke and the others would like that detail, Maki-chan. Not with those thugs still at large.” He took her hand when she frowned. “I know that you’re not as scared of them as you were thanks to Captain Kuchiki’s training, but if they are able to hide their face, they could get much closer than they usually could." He looked over to Nakane. "To both of you," he elaborated before looking back at his girlfriend to finish his argument. "And if they were able to strike, it would ruin the momentary peace that has settled over Soul Society.”
He didn’t even elaborate on the ways Aizen could use such a method – if he decided to focus on them again and not the depths of Hell. Kisuke, Kenji, and his parents believed it was only a matter of time, but no one wanted to guess when.
Except Kenji. Who was getting more surly at his father's methods.
But Sojiro didn't want to burden Makino with that. If she asked, he would explain, but only if he had time.
“It’s too dangerous," he stated quietly.

Makino nodded slowly. "You're right. I did not even think of that. It would put everyone in danger at the festival." She looked over to Allura. "I guess we are going to have to think of another theme."
A brief silence fell in the room as they thought, Allura finally breaking said silence.
"You know we could do it still. Just use the masks that have the handles. That way the mask is not permanent and covering the face at all times and if we do see someone with a mask that is not allowed we can have them remove it or kick them off the festival grounds if they refuse to abide by the rules."
Makino looked to Sojiro. "What do you think?"
He combed his fingers through his hair and thought for a minute. "It might work." He looked to the two girls. "It would be something you would have to talk to Captain Kuchiki about. It's his division that will be on patrol when the festival is happening."
Makino nodded as she looked from Sojiro back to Allura. "I will see him tonight. I will add that to my list of things to talk to him about." She looked quickly back to Sojiro. "Do you have plans tonight?"

Sojiro’s cheeks reddened at that question. “No, I actually don’t,” he murmured. “Mom marched into the underground room we’ve been training in and demanded that I we call a momentary stop from the ‘rough love’ or they, and ‘would regret it.’” He rubbed the back of his head. “Seto and Kisuke believed they shouldn't argue with ‘a beautiful pregnant mother’”. He fell silent, recalling his own father’s reaction, the fact that he given another sly grin but that there seemed to be something else that flickered in his piercing eyes.
There had been many things that had occured in the month since Aizen's threat, and in addition to the obsessive training Sojiro had taken on, he had discovered the distance between his mother and father. But neither would discuss it. And Kisuke had advised him to leave the details alone. For the benefit of everyone. So he had accepted that he probably wouldn’t get to the bottom of the argument between his mother and father. That even the fact that the instance, like other things, had been buried by urgency around his immediate family, the tightening bond between his mother and Seto, and his father's usual disguise towards candor - of answering questions with more inquiries.
That sometimes truth wouldn't make certain details any easier.
He sighed. “Anyway, no I don’t have any plans, and I would like to spend the rest of the day with you, if you don’t mind me joining you when you visit your family.”

Makino smiled leaning in she placed a soft kiss to his cheek. "Good. I was going to ask you to join me tonight." Leaning back still with a bright smile she rested her hand to his leg. "The family needs to meet you on a good note. Not a bad one."
Before she or Sojiro could say another word, Allura stood announcing she was going to go grab another bottle of water. Makino told her to help herself, Sojiro then ask her to grab one for him as well. Allura nodded and exited the room. Once she was gone, Makino leaned toward Sojiro and whispered softly in his ear.
"We will be spending the night as well. So after everyone goes to bed we can meet out by the Koi Pond." She nipped his ear softly as she pushed back to sit back on the couch.

Sojiro chucked at her and rubbed at his tingling ear. “You know, even if I agree with the first part of the plan, your evening's a little daring, don’t you think? Meeting a handsome man by moonlight in your family garden? With your bloodthirsty brothers just around the corner. Are you in that much of a devious mood, Maki-Hachi?
Makino pouted. "If you don't want to meet me there then I guess I will take a good book to enjoy then." She then grinned deviously as she shrugged. "Either way. I will be getting a little action one way or another."
Still grinning, Sojiro leaned towards her and grabbed her wrist. "If you really think I am going to let you slip away after that display towards Ueno and that invitation, you don't know me half as well as your pretty eyes convey."
He kissed her wrist. "I will be there. If you can be patient~"

Her body tingled as he kissed her wrist tenderly, a sheepish smile crossing her lips. Slowly leaning into him she whispered again.
"I think a month not being able to be with you has done more than enough in proving I am patient, my dearest Soji-kun."
"We had the one night." Sojiro reminded her.
Makino sat back quickly and blew a soft raspberry. "Sitting down and wrapping our arms around one another, and falling asleep two minutes later don't count." She smiled a second later. "But it was nice to wake in your arms. Even if Byakuya-sama was glaring down at us."

Sojiro nodded and squeezed her hand. “It was nice and made training more bearable, thinking that if I can perfect my technique that I would be better able to protect you and more safely involve you in the danger around me.” Makino blew another raspberry. “I don’t care about danger. I grew into it, and thanks to Byakuya-sama, it’s going to take even more to get under my skin.” Her eyes danced with confidence.
Sojiro couldn’t help himself. Leaning over her, he caught her teasing tongue with his hungry lips. Makino resisted for a moment before melting into his arms. He held her there, tasting of her lips and setting off the heat that rose between them when they were alone. Until he heard Allura’s footsteps.
His girlfriend sprang up, recalling an essay she would like him to look at and the rest of the afternoon passed quietly. Other friends passed by, having heard of his break. And Makino fluttered from person to person. Sojiro retrieved her for their evening date.

“Gathering the Fund Facts”: (continued) Once in her room Makino went to her desk, clearing it off to start her research on the festival funds. She sat down with paper and pen and started her work, but not before she stopped by Allura’s room to let her know she had returned. When she knocked, no one answered. She figured she was out training or out just to get away from her overbearing ‘new’ roommate. Either way she had left a note on the door hoping she would find it when she returned. She had also found out from Ayako that she would not be leaving later in the evening to return home. That left Makino some kind of window to seek her out again if needed for questioning of the paperwork.
Once all that was settled and out of the way, Makino was well on her way into her research of the festival. Seconds trickled it minutes, minutes into hours and before Makino knew it the sun was sitting in the horizon. She was still buried deep into the paperwork until her stomach alerted her it was time to get something to eat. When she looked up and out the window in the room.
“Oh wow! Where did the time go?” She then realized she had not heard from Sojiro as she as well had not gone to seek him out either. She sighed softly and stood from her desk, stretching her arms up over her head.
She left her desk going to the kitchen to make herself something to eat. Halfway through her process, a knock came to her door. She poked her head around the corner and yelled out.
“It’s open come in! I am in the kitchen cooking!”

Mitsuo pushed open the door quickly a wide smile across his lips. the door closing quickly behind him with a rather loud thud. His steps were quick as he made his way into the kitchen where Makino was waiting for her guest. When he entered the room she turned to look at him as she smiled brightly.
"Long time no see." Makino replied as she turned fully to look at him as she wiped her hands on a towel she picked up at the side of the stove.
Mitsuo was bursting with energy and excitement as his arms flung out to his sides presenting himself to her. "Congratulate me!"

Makino giggled softly as she tossed the towel to the counter and stepped toward him giving him a hug. "Congratulation?" She patted his back lightly as they then parted from the hug. She stepped back to the stove. "So why am I congratulating you?"
"I have finally learned how to control Yakigane's powers where I am not getting branded by him all the time." Mitsuo told her.
Makino gasp in excitement for Mitsuo as she went toward him again and gave him a bigger hug. "That's awesome! Congratulations, Mitsuo-kun! I am so proud of you."

Mitsuo blushed slightly as he cast his eyes down, combing his fingers through his hair. "Thanks, it's been a long hard road with him, but I finally did it."
Makino nodded turning back to her cooking dinner. "Well I am excited for you. That is great news." She looked back to him once more. "Are you hungry? There is plenty."
Mitsuo hesitated then nodded his head slowly. "Yeah, I am kinda." His hand went to his stomach as the sweet aroma of her cooking hit his senses. "I will set the table." Mitsuo washed his hands, drying them off as he then grabbed a couple of plates and cups along with utensils for their dinner. He sit the table then sat down waiting patiently for it to finish.
"So how was your weekend?" He ask making small talk while they waited.
