Makino nodded slowly as she scooped dinner from the pan and placed it on a dish to take to the table. "It was alright? A little drama popped up between me and my brother over a couple of things." She turned with the dish and walked toward the table.
"It caused me to renounce my nobility as a Masanobu."
Mitsuo jolted forward from his relaxed position. "YOU DID WHAT!?"
Makino placed the dish to the table and patted his shoulder. "Its alright. Me and Nii-sama made up." She walked over and took a set at the other side of the table looking across at Mitsuo. "Nii-sama would not have taken my resignation anyway. Mother, Hakuryuu, Kouen and Shirou would not have allowed it. Not to mention Kuchiki-sama would not have allowed it either."

Mitsuo sat back with a sigh, combing his finger through his hair. "That's good to know." His head tilted slightly as he looked across the table at her. "Soji-kun was with you this weekend, right?"
Makino nodded slowly as she served Mitsuo and herself a plate of food.
Mitsuo chuckled lightly. "Let me guess. The fight was over Soji-kun." She looked up from her plate at him with a tattle-tell look, Mitsuo chuckling again. "He was probably freaking out. I guess he is blaming himself for everything? Given the reason why he is not here."

"He took half the blame, given he was part of the issue Nii-sama was complaining about. However, I started it he was only following suit, but in doing so it made Nii-sama question him. Putting him in a bad light with him."
Mitsuo sat back and looked at her. "What the hell happened?"
Makino sighed blushing a soft shade of pink.
Mitsuo chuckled lightly. "You two got busted getting down and dirty by your oldest brother." He shook his head still chuckling. "Both of you are inexperienced. That was the last place you two should have been playing around."
Makino's lips pursed as she hung her head, her cheeks turning a darker shade of pink. "Hush!" She took a bite and swallowed then took a drink. "We did not mean for it to get that carried away."

"So what now?" Mitsuo ask her sitting his drink back to the table. "Don't tell me Soji-kun backed off again." His head shook as he looked to his food. "What the hell is wrong with that kid? First sign of trouble and he runs."
He looked to Makino. "He is starting to sound more like an issue than a boyfriend." He picked up his chopsticks readying a bite. "He rattled on that night about how important you are to him, but I am starting to doubt if he even loves you?" He took his bite as he heard a clink from across the table. Makino had dropped her chopsticks and was looking at him with wide, tear filled eyes.
"Maki-chan." He scrambled quickly to his feet, "I am sorry! I did not mean that!" He made his way to her side. "Of course he loves you. He cares very deeply for you." He palmed his face. "I am such a baka!" He growled, "please don't cry. I did not mean it. He does love you or he would not be with you."

Makino shook her head her gaze fixed on nothing across the room as she spoke. "He cares about me. I know that, but his feelings don't run as deeply as mine do for him." She heard Mitsuo sigh heavily as he sat down in the chair next to her.
Mitsuo's placed his hand to her shoulder and gave a tender, but firm squeeze. "It will come. You're just more in touch with your emotions than he is. You have to remember he lived almost nine years of his life in a very emotionless realm."
Makino nodded her head slowly as she dried a tear that escaped down her cheek. "I know and I keep telling myself that, but I guess it is like Hachidori told me, 'It is something you will never understand it until you have lived it.'." She looked over at Mitsuo. "Do you think he will ever love me?"

Mitsuo moved toward her wrapping his arms around her tightly giving her comfort. "If he don't he is a bigger fool than I believed him to be, and I will be sure to kick his ass from here to the human realm and back for lying to you and me both about his feelings for you."
Makino wrapped her arms around him hugging him back, her head shook slightly. "I believe he cares, and in time would even love me, but how long will I have to wait for him to return those feelings? I can't wait forever." She pulled from the hug and looked at Mitsuo. "Can I?"
Mitsuo brushed a few strands of her raven hair back from her face, giving her a warm smile. "You can wait as long as you wish, but don't forget." His hand cupped her cheek as his thumb wiped away another falling tear. "If he never comes around." He looked deep into her eyes. "There is another that cares very deeply for you and has no issues with loving you."

Makino giggled softly as she placed her hand over Mitsuo's and removed it from her cheek. She leaned forward and kissed his cheek softly. "I won't, but I am not giving up on Soji-kun any time soon." She turned back to her meal and motioned with a nod of head toward his. "Its getting cold, and thank you for the talk. Even though it hurts to think Soji-kun don't return the same feelings to me. I know in time it will come."
She lifted her drink. "Here's to taking a shorter time, than a longer one."

Mitsuo smiled at her lifting his glass to her toast. As he watched her take a sip lifting his own to his lips he mumbled. "Here's to it not coming at all." "Huh?" Makino ask lowering her cup. "It was nothing." Mitsuo took a sip, smiled warmly at her again as he watched her from across the table. The two enjoyed their dinner as they talked about their weekend and what they did. -- END RP -- "Whiplash from Hell":

"Evening with Friends":
Riku and Sojiro walked through the halls to Makino's dorm room. It had certainly been a while since they all had dinner together. The both of them smiled in anticipation. As they moved into the hallway that her dorm was located in, Sojiro turned to him. "I'm glad the two of you are on speaking terms again. I was getting worried." "So am I. I didn't want her to hate me because you and I are friends." "I don't think she could hate you. You're a pretty hard person to hate," Sojiro chuckled. "I'm glad you think that," Riku beamed up at him. He raised his hand to the door and rapped his knuckles on it.

Makino rushed to the door as she wiped her hands on a towel she grabbed from the counter as she rushed out of the kitchen. She knew it was Riku and Sojiro. She wished she could have gotten Allura there, but she was busy with class work she had fallen behind in and was not able to make it. All was well though, she had a few minutes to talk when Makino went to see her and she explained everything that was going on. The two chatted for a while then Makino headed back to her room to get things going for the dinner she was going to have with the guys.
It had been awhile since the three had hung out like this. She missed having them come over and visit they always had so much fun just sitting around talking, laughing and being themselves. Something they could not do with most.
Makino opened the door with a bright smile across her lips. "Hello~" she sang as she reached out and grabbed both their hands and tugged them in the room, closing the door behind them. She turned quickly back toward the kitchen and started to walk away. "You know the drill. I have to get back to dinner before it burns."

Riku took a big whiff and hummed in delight. "It smells amazing! Can I help?" He trotted behind her into the kitchen. When he entered the kitchen with her he saw a nabemono pot cooking along side a pot of tonkotsu ramen. There was also manju dumplings, jasmine rice and stir fried veggies. "Maki-chan you're such an amazing cook!"
Makino giggled lightly as she looked over at him, tossing him a potholder. "Thank you Riku. If you want to help you can you stir ramen, please."
He picked up a ladle and stirred the contents of the pot carefully. After stirring it, he took some of the broth in the ladle and blew on it before tasting it. The pork broth was rich with flavor but without being too salty. The taste made him even hungrier. "Delicious~" He stirred it again, turning to Makino. "So, Maki-chan. Tell me more about your plans for the festival. And you said something about the funds too, I believe. What happened with that?"

Makino sighed heavily. "It's a mess." She turned slightly looking over her shoulder to see Sojiro walk in the kitchen. She noticed he had a bandage on his cheek. Beside that, he was being unusually quiet and he kept a close eye on her as she moved around the room.
She looked over at Riku as she heard him humming in delight once more, she giggled softly as her head shook as he was taste testing another one of the dishes. "Well, I told you about the auction, as for the rest, I really need to get a peek into that storage room to see where I can go with the rest of my ideas. Right now they're just up in the air. The only one I can really say could be set in stone is the auction. Even if the Fall Festival is a no go. It's a way we can make back the money that was embezzled from Ayako and her friends."
She heard a clank as if a spoon or some utensil had been dropped to the floor. She turned looking at Riku as he stood there looking at her with wide eyes.

Riku's eye were blown wide as he stooped to pick up the spoon he dropped. "Embezzled?! What the hell did they spend all that money on?! Have they answered for it at least?" He shook his head in disgust, stirring things to make sure they didn't burn.
Makino shook her head as Sojiro took a position against the wall and watched them cook as they talked about the festival. "I just found all this out last night and took it to Captain Kuchiki today. We have to get everything else verified before anything can happen, but from what Captain Kuchiki and Ayase has said because they are students not much can be done to them. Maybe be kicked out the Academy...I guess."
He huffed and shook his head again with Makino. "Ridiculous. I may be a former thief, but I can't stand it when people steal from honest people. Greed is no reason to steal. Money that is placed in your trust should be spent how you are told to spend it." After moving around the contents of the pots and pans he pulled up a chair and sat down. "As for replenishing the funds, I'd be happy to give you the money for the Festivals. You know I have more money than I know what to do with. I know it's not exactly clean money, but you'll make better use for it than the people I've stolen from. If you'll take it."

Makino looked to Sojiro her face blank of expression. "I guess he did not tell Riku why we went to my parents this past weekend." She then looked back to Riku. "Well if you want to help I won't stop you, but this past weekend," she paused, watching Sojiro from the corner of her eyes as she spoke to Riku, "the reason we went to my parents was so I could ask my mother for the money to finish the funding."
She walked over to the refrigerator. "Some of the money we are going to be able to get back, or at least Captain Kuchiki believes. Some of the merchants and vendors were overpaid." She poked her head into the refrigerator as she still spoke. "That is a good chunk of the funds. Ayako and her friends made off with about three thousand of the funds and what they say they have in storage will make up the decorations, the prizes, and of course, the stands and stages for the festival itself. That all belongs to the Academy."

Nodding, Riku took in everything Makino told him. It still sounded like they could benefit with extra funds, if only to be able to do more of what they wanted in terms of planning and pulling off great end of the year festivals. He put a finger to his lips, humming in thought. "Then how about... fifty thousand? That seems like a reasonable contribution. That plus what Captain Kuchiki will give you would obviously be a good sum to work with. And I'm sure you'll budget it wisely, unlike this Ayako."
Riku smiled and pulled out a book of banknotes from his kimono. As Makino stared at him, holding a pitcher of iced tea from the fridge, he filled out the top bank note and ripped it out, handing it to Makino. "Here. You can cash it at the bank at the address there on the banknote. It's a family-owned bank. The family has been very loyal to my own family for a very long time. They know who we are, but in public they refer to us as the 'Honda' family, so be sure to use that last name if you talk about me while you're there. From what they say, a lot of lower noble families use their bank as opposed to higher end bankers who are only interested in making their own money rather than protecting someone else's."
